Does the case carry itself for that price? It's a great looking case and I might end up buying one for when we go on vacation but not for that price. I'll wait for the cheap knock offs.

Still have this on the GameCube. What an amazing game and definitely one of the greatest fighting games. Always wished for a Zelda fighting game after playing as Link.

@Paraka actually Nintendo and Sega started brand-based power pissing in the 90's. Sony and MS continued the tradition.

Show don't tell then. That's for every developer. If you want to sell games for 80 then you really need to show why the game is worth that amount. Developers really need to make better games, so in the end it might be better for us and worse for some developers that got away with crappy games in the past.

Would be nice if they make special boxes for certain games like a green or gold box for Zelda.

Must hurt for the pokemon to walk through those spikes.

This is just over hyping before the consoles release ( happens with every console). Let's just see how the first years go.

@HugoGED they probably won't. Whether thats good or not is up to debate for every studio. In the end they will make whatever Nintendo wants them to make.

Would also love to see them get a shot at other Nintendo IP. I think they could make a great Golden Sun game.

Here's the plan: selling Switch 2 owners ports of old games at 80$€£ on a key card or code in a box release. Maximizing profits with zero effort.

I understand it allows the game to be resold at any time, but imo it's a waste of resources. Just allow to have more variety in sizes for the cards and if you want to sell it in stores then force developers to put the actual game on it.

It's not like they sell these versions cheaper then if the game would be in it.

Yeah... I'm going to buy first party Nintendo games only for the Switch 2. If FFVII is going to be completely on the card I might double dip but I highly doubt it. If rebirth will come to Switch 2, Wich I still doubt, it will never fit on one card to begin with. Nintendo really screwed up with this. Why only have 256 GB drive in it.

If true it's a odd choice, but then again it's Nintendo were talking about here. With every new console there are weird decisions to raise your eyebrows at.

@EVIL-C Nintendo's bad relationship actually started way back with the SNES because of the cartridge prices that publishers needed to pay Nintendo for. With the N64 they lost most publishers to the competitors, mainly because they didn't went with discs while developers asked them to do. This resulted in that developers needed to highly compress their games and again pay for more expensive cartridges. With the GameCube they tried to win them back and at first it got good support but because they opted for their own smaller discs they lost support quickly.

Nintendo never really recovered third party support from this time, even with it's succes of the Wii and Switch, they always had the lowest support because from third party because of the inferior hardware or choices for game storage. Unfortunately this might and will possible happen with the Switch 2. Developers just don't want to invest in good compression for lower hardware, at least not for their multi-platform games.

This game is going to be a lot of fun, can't wait to play it on June 5th. But I gotta say, those screenshots look pretty low res, at least the environments.

Up until the Wii that was very much the identity of Nintendo though. They always had the much powerful console. Only there choice of it's media space made it difficult for third party to release (compress) games for their platform.

Don't get why this just can't be in the game instead of a phone app. Hope this is not going to be a standard thing with all the Nintendo games.

Missed opertunity from Nintendo to release a complete game physically. Would have bought it if the DLC would be on the card.

They release a Zelda game every year so they probably hold on to this and release it when they don't have a new game to release.

I also consider the CDi games as canon, taking place after Links awakening. The covers even future Link and Zelda from a link to the past. Still enjoy playing that Quadrilogy from time to time.

This is just like buying a strategy guide for the Switch 2.

Can't wait to play this myself on launch. Got the game for €80 and donkey Kong for 70. You can get the games cheaper but you need to really search for it. I think 70 is going to be the standard, as long as the quality is good I'm fine with that.

This really depends on when you grew up imo. For me nothing beats the SNES and N64 lineups. Going from the nes to SNES was amazing, seeing Mario world and what was possible with f-zero and Pilotwings was amazing back then. And we'll... The N64, Mario 64. You can't explain that wow effect to a newer generation.

I do am more excited forthe switch 2. Haven't been this excited for a release of a new Nintendo system since the GameCube. It really seems Nintendo is going al out with great first party games.

I got it today but I already ordered at a another store.

These two games look great and one of the reason I buy the Switch 2 at launch. Hopefully they show new games soon. Can't wait to see the next Mario and Zelda ( hopefully a OOT remake in style of the Wii U tech demo).

I'm also camping for the Switch 2.... In my living room. Waiting for the delivery service to bring my package on June 5th. Unfortunately he's really slow.

I dislike DLC, mainly because most of the time it's just so developers can released unfinished games. However Nintendo releases finished game packed with content. If they do make DLC it's great content at a reasonable price. Mario Kart 8 got content after a lot of years, I do expect they do the same for World in the end.

So it doesn't make me look like Brad Pitt. That's a bummer....

To bad Nintendo just keeps stuck in the past when it comes to these things. They don't have to reinvent the wheel here, just simply do what the competition does and paint it in a Nintendo coat.

@lumothesinner not that I don't agree with you but the Last of us 2 had an extra game mode and more extras, ghost of Tsushima also had extra conntent, Spider-Man remastered had all previous dlc included and was free if you bought it with miles morales. It's easy to trash Sony on a Nintendo site but both companies are asking an up price for extra content here. And in the end it's up to everyone to decide if it's worth it or not.

I'm more interested in if the switch 2 physical versions of Zelda have the DLC included.

For Nintendo standards this is free. Don't forget this is a company that sold us the same virtual console games twice for full price or extra fee to upgrade to another console.

And all the extra accessoires for every console or the expansion pack for the N64 to be able to play DK and Zelda.

If you have online then at least the Zelda expansions will be free.

This pretty much confirms for me that I will most likely only buy first party games for the switch 2. And third party the on the PS5.

I rather have a full remake of ocarina of time or Twilight Princess in the style of the Wii U tech demo. But I will buy wind waker hd without a doubt.

Yes it is. And we can al argue that yes N64 titles were just as expensive, but those were different times. Gaming was less of a thing, and we all know how wel the N64 sold in comparison to the competition. This is greed because the switch was a succes. No excuse to sell remasters at that price, and why is donkey Kong cheaper...

This really reeks like the old Nintendo from the SNES/N64 days. The were really on a high horse those days and asked extreme prices then, they seem to go that way again. I hope they get a big backlash and change those prices. 70 € is the max

Just saw the price of Mario kart on the Nintendo store 90€ for a physical copy, 80€ for digital. They completely went Bananas again at Nintendo

Will be great if true, however... Alot of GameCube games still look great today. It will be easy for Nintendo to remaster them and sell them at a cheaper price. Will they really add those games to switch online and miss on that.

Yeah... I can take these first impressions serious anymore. They were going to a PR event to promote the movie afterwards. They are always positive. It's a "fun" movie is used to much. It's what you use if you don't really know what to say.
