Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (1st November)

Trying to play Outer Worlds 2, but I hate it.

I liked the first one, but this one seems to have nothing going for it. It’s not as funny as the first, the story hasn’t gripped me, the characters are awful and the worlds are just bland.

Probably going to sell it and buy Mortal Kombat instead.

Re: Team Cherry Explains Hollow Knight: Silksong's "Steep Difficulty"

I do think it's perfectly fine to have a hard game, or even a brutally hard game if thats your vision as a game creator.

I also think, it's unacceptable to not have accessibility options in games. There are people who cannot enjoy games of this difficulty through no fault of their own, disabilities or impairments of various types.

There has been a big focus (and rightfully so) on accessibility in gaming and inclusion in general in recent years.

I do believe we should always strive to include as many people as possible in any entertainment or hobby. Obviously, it's impossible to include everyone in everything. But I think the effort should always be made as much as it reasonably can be.

We've made good progress, with a variety of accessibility focused controller options - notably from Microsoft and Sony (come on Nintendo?), as well as custom homemade controllers that various people create from commissions from people that need them. So we're making good progress on the hardware side. But the software side is lacking. Some games do a great job, others, do ok, and some just don't bother at all - Silksong.

Re: Nintendo Is Seeking Player Feedback On Game-Key Cards In Japan

The problem is the final question.

Comparing key cards to digital is irrelevant.

Key cards are trying to capture the physical games market not the digital market. Nobody who wants digital is going to buy a key card, they're just going to get the digital version.

People who want a physical game are either going to go without entirely or begrudgingly purchase the key card.

The text size is definitely far far far too small in handheld mode, even with "larger fonts" and "subtitle size" both set to maximum.

It's a shame this common issue is never addressed when bringing big AAA games to handheld systems. You can't just take a UI designed for 65"+ TVs and put it on a 7 inch screen without making adjustments.

Hope they'll patch in some larger font size options, but I'm not optimistic.

It runs superbly well though. Very impressed with the performance so far.

Re: Street Fighter 6 Somehow Combines Game-Key Card And Code-In-A-Box On Switch 2

@Michael0916

I know. That’s why I was questioning someone saying they couldn’t be resold once this DLC code is redeemed. Which seemed bizarre, even by the standards of this already bizarre situation.

It just turns the key cart into the standard edition surely. Like it would with PS5 or Xbox games that have ultimate editions that include the DLC as codes.

@Bunkerneath

What’s the source on not being able to sell the key cart afterwards?

Seems like you could sell it but it would just be the standard version of the game, not the fighters edition.

Which is the same way lots of “ultimate” or “complete” editions work. It’s still ***** of course.

Is there any confirmation that’s not how it would work?

Re: Exclusive: Fast Fusion Will Contain 12 Tracks, Free Content Update Confirmed

I was wondering why the game was so cheap.

12 tracks confirms why.

Still absolutely getting it. The FAST series is great and Shin’en are one of my favourite developers.

Seems strange to have so many graphics modes that all run at 60? Why not just have the best one that runs at 60? If “Quality”can run at a smooth 60, then why bother with “Performance”?
