Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Breaks Series Records With US Launch Sales

renaryuugufan92

Honestly it was kind of ignorant to think that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would not sell. There were only 8 million people who got the game on the Wii U which might sound like a lot of players and it is but there were a lot of people who acknowledged that it was a good game but they did not want to pick up a Wii U. As such it is those people, the majority that did not buy a Wii u and stuck with their 3DS's, PCs, or alternative consoles that are going to drive sales of MK8D on top of the double dippers like myself. I'm glad they ported this game, it was addictive on Wii u and its so much more addictive now on Switch with the improvements Nintendo added.

Re: Tatsumi Kimishima Talks About a Potential 3DS Successor

I'm not going to lie about how I feel here. I feel that since the Switch is suppose to be our 2-in-1 Nintendo platform that a 3DS successor would be a tad redundant now that we can take our games on the go and play them at home. I would rather see them advance development on the Switch with handheld developers and console developers on that one platform, and then worry about succeeding the Switch after a few years.

Re: Paper Mario Colour Splash Coming to Wii U

I like the overall look of the game, but after seeing the stickers I'm going to hold my breath on it as I did not enjoy Sticker Star at all. However, if they balance what we wanted from TTYD and what new fans that liked SS want to keep, then maybe it will be good.

@JaxonH "Me too. Gosh dang I've purchased like 15 remasters on PS4, at least 6 on 3DS, and, well, just Windwaker on Wii U, but that's a lot of remasters for a generation just getting started. And many more preordered. I can't help it- if it's A) a game I haven't played yet or B) a game I love... I'm all in."

Same~ I've gotten alot of remasters of old games I loved when I was growing up (not just from this generation), though its rare that I get a remaster to a game I never played.

People complaining about the price when they are the same people who bought the last 3 remasters before it. Untitled Going to get this myself seeing as its what I wanted in a HD remaster of Twilight Princess, a nice clean version of the game with button controls, gameplay tweeks where they are needed and enhanced texture work. Four excellent remasters that stand up next to their original versions now I just want Zelda U. Yes I am part of the remaster problem, sue me. shrugs

Re: Nintendo Download: 24th December (North America)

Well this satisfies my ocd of not having Galaxy 1 next to Galaxy 2 on the main menu. I like having games digitally so I'm not bothered by Galaxy being offered digitally. What does bother me is the fact that NOA is so darn slow with VC releases. Super Mario Galaxy should have been offered back in May alongside its japanese eshop release, and Xenoblade Chronicles should have been available on the eshop by now. Instead what NOA does is give us games without considering the feedback from fans. Take for example what Microsoft has done with emulated 360 compatability via Xbox One, they opened up a voting system where fans are requesting the games they wanted and as a Xbone owner I can expect hundreds of 360 games by the time 2016 is out and a good number of them will be titles I personally voted for. With Nintendo I'm left wondering if we will get

Mother 3
Xenoblade Chronicles
the essential Wii titles on eshop
Metroid Zero Mission
Mario RPG
alongside a host of other games we have been wanting since the days of the Wii.

All of this begs to question how Nintendo will do things with the NX regarding region lock vs region free and if NOA continues to ignore fan requests then I am considering importing the NX from NOE and dealing with the price conversions if it means getting the selection of games NOA fails to deliver on.

This week NOA should have offered Mario RPG, and 64 DS just like Europe, and yes I know NOE didn't offer Galaxy as a download this week so both can be at fault its just ridiculous since once a game hits NOE its pretty much localized to the point of hitting NOA's servers and NOA is like Untitled lol sorry for the rant I hope everyone on NL has a happy holiday!

Re: An ESRB Rating of Super Mario Galaxy for Wii U Has Been Spotted

renaryuugufan92

If one thing has been surprisingly slower than the Wii U's virtual console, it has been the eshop re-releases of Wii titles.

Xenoblade Chronicles is one game I desperately want on the eshop because I will not buy a New 3DS for one game especially if its a de-master, or shelving out alot of money for a new copy of the old disc regardless if X has become my favorite Wii U title.

And a few other titles I haven't been able to get yet like The Last Story, Fire Emblem, and so on.

Re: NX Won't Be The Next Version Of Wii Or Wii U, Says Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima

renaryuugufan92

"We will continue to support the Wii U going into the lifecycle of the NX" I've heard that one before.

GameCube - Nintendo stoped supporting it right after the Wii released
Wii - Support died in 2011 with the exception being Xenoblade, Pandora's Tower, The Last Story and Ubisoft's just dance games and the skylander games.
Wii U - Outside of SMTxFE and Zelda U what else is slated for summer 2016 and beyond, I want proof not words, words that were echoed in past generations and weren't directly validated.
