@Kirk then just buy the retail games, and Wii controllers don't cost nearly as much as it will cost to get a Wii U gamepad, and all your current Wii controllers, Wii remote, nunchuck, classic controller, and classic controller pros will all work with the Wii U~
not to much of a problem with me~ i'm siding between getting a 64GB usb flash drive or a 250GB external HDD, judging from my Wii first party library and the sequals that are sure to come on the Wii U ((Super Mario U -a 3d sucessor to the galaxy games- Smash U, Mario Kart U, Legend of Zelda U etc.)) , a 64GB usb flash drive would more then suffice~ as i will buy most 3rd party games retail in case i wanna trade em in later, which is something i almost never do with first party Nintendo games~
I'm gonna try to get the deluxe set on black friday, if not then the whole month of December is gonna be a game of go to the store everyother day just like the Wii was, hopefully shortages won't be nearly as bad~
a 250GB external drive will fill most of my needs~ anyone know any good deals on ones with high consumer ratings and ones that have their own power source~?
@3dbrains you should really go with the 32gb model, the deluxe digital promotion a copy of Nintendo Land, all in all its a much better deal then the basic 8gb set~
@pinta_vodki thats exactly what i've been hoping they would do, just one more firmware update to allow us to tie our Wii's into the ID system and then the transfer process with be streamlined~
@HarmoKnight until your console breaks down and you lose all your downloaded purchases, the user ID and account system is so much better as all that information is saved to your network ID, and all you have to do is sign in~
hoping Nintendo ID does come out before the Wii U does, as I have to change out the disk drive of my original Wii -had since 2007- myself, so i don't lose all my virtual title games~
with Nintendo ID all of our download info will be on one ID so if a system goes bad all we have to do is sign in with a newer system and get our purchases back, something we can't do yet with Wii or the DSi and 3DS.
@clavier141 I agree, or at least we should get them at a discount~ If we buy the Retail for $39.99 then download them at the same price, theres no garuntee we are gonna get a good deal back when we trade in our retail copies~.
For example if I did decide to buy Mario Kart 7 digitally for $39.99, I probably won't get $10-$15 when I trade in my physical copy of the game~ so physical owners who want to go digital should be granted huge discounts from Nintendo if we already own the games.
Eternal Darkness Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Resident Evil REmake Resident Evil Zero Resident Evil 2 (if not the GCN port, definitly the N64 one as it was never available on the Wii's VC)
to name my top 5 and every other gamecube game i currently own so i can preserve my disc copies and used the eshop downloaded versions on Wii U
hopefully we will be able to download both GameCube and Wii titles because i really want F-Zero GX, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil 2 (the N64 edition if they can, i know it didn't release on Wii due to its big file size, and i also know it was ported to the GameCube too~ ), the Metroid Prime series, Fatal Frame 3, Zelda: Wind Waker, and so much more~
as bad as many would like a Galaxy 3, I personally want something brand new that is more like Super Mario 64 in terms of open world free to explore type of level design. I wouldn't mind a Galaxy 3 but I would rather see something brand new for the plumbers first HD outting.
it does count in a way, as Super Mario 64 DS was developed to give gamers and developers as idea of what the original DS could do graphically, as far as brand new 3D Mario experiences go, Super Mario 3D Land is the first brand new 3D Mario game to be developed from the ground up for a handheld system
give us a full fledged game, F-Zero GX has amazing vibrant colors and visuals back in the day on the GameCube that really made your eyes pop as you blazed across the courses at 500 some MPH xD. With the HD capabilities of the Wii U its going to be amazing if they bring that experience back, running at 30 or 60fps, with crystal clear visuals, and colors that will make your eyes water cheerfully as Capton Falcon crosses the finish line and FALCON PUNCHES the competition
the $300 pricetag wouldn't be unreasonable i mean the GameCube at launch in 2001 was $200, and the Wii in 2006 was $250, so it wouldn't be surprising if the Wii U was priced at $300, but since its such a massive jump in technology when compared to the Wii, a price range closer to $400 seems alot more realistic, especially if the console is more powerful then the 360 and Ps3.

Re: Miyamoto Puzzled As To Why Anyone Would Want A New F-Zero
F-Zero with online play at 60fps would be amazing on Wii U and they need to make it happen~
It seems so odd that the Wii never had a F-Zero game, the last F-Zero game I played was GX on the GameCube~
Re: Wii Owners: Microsoft Wants You To Buy The Xbox 360 This Holiday Season
getting a Xbox 360 now would be taking a step back, especially since Wii U is superior in everyway~
Getting the Wii U!

Re: Rumour: Wii U Priced at €399.99 by Amazon Germany
almost as bad as their misconception of video game prices http://www.amazon.com/Super-Mario-Bros-U-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B002I0K3CK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340222860&sr=8-1&keywords=new+super+mario+bros+u, not to mention they got the release date off by a whole year why do retailers have to make wild assumptions about console and game prices before they are even announced? i'd rather wait and see what Nintendo says in a few months~
Re: CryEngine 3 "Runs Beautifully" on Wii U
@DrSlump Wii U is a nex-gen console
Re: Wii U Will be a 'Great Value Proposition'
i expect $299.99 at the least, and probably $349.99 at the most is that i'm willing to pay~
Re: Mario Wii U "Based On" New Super Mario Bros. Mii
@Corbs I agree, I was hoping they would return to the open world concepts of Super Mario 64 and Sunshine (Galaxy was more linear then open)

Re: Rumour: Wii U Release Date Unveiled in Mystery Email
seems reasonable especially where the last 2 consoles both launched in November
GameCube: November 18,2001
Wii: November 19,2006
Re: Talking Point: Your Nintendo Christmas Presents
Zelda: Skyward Sword
Mario kart 7
Re: Rumour: Nintendo to Show Off Wii U at CES in January
