Re: Review: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (Wii U)

renaryuugufan92

The game is great, I put nearly 50 hours into it so far and I still got alot of collectables and ship upgrades to get, and to those saying its 60fps, maybe on the PS4 and XBone but not the 360,PS3 & Wii U versions as they all run at 30fps and they all have frame-drops but they are not that dramatic sure their noticable but nothing that will ruin your timing. Visually the Wii U version does have slightly sharper textures than the 360/PS3 versions, but its the lighting/shading and draw distance Wii U owners will notice a dramatic difference in, how do I know this, I had a friend bring his 360 over after I beat AC4 on the U and we did a comparison with two 32 inch 1080p tv's (the other tv was his of course and yes it was a pain to do this, but curiosity does that to ya...). What we discovered was that the fps was identical really, and we both came to the conclusion that Ubisoft put all of their resources into the PS4/One versions which we will find out when he gets the One on the 22nd and we play that version of the game, other than that though its an excellent game I recommend it to all Wii U owners! just be prepared to have 50hours and then some stripped away from your life

Re: Earthbound Arrives on the Wii U eShop Today

renaryuugufan92

who knows if this does well we might get that unreleased version of Mother (Earthbound 0) for the NES, and Mother 3 once GBA titles hit the eshop~ i haven't played this in 15 years, my cousin had it on his SNES and we played it to death back in 1998 when I was 5. I can remember having nightmares of Giyga's final form too xD I was sad when he sold his SNES without telling me thus his copy of Earthbound was gone forever, and the prices for a physical copy have been rising ever since, but now 15 years later it is time to re-experience this "lost" gem on our Wii U's for only $10, bring it on Giygas~!

Re: Iwata: Third Party Wii U Launch Titles Could Not Enjoy Brisk Sales As Many Were Ports

renaryuugufan92

the logic of the third parties:

Wii U is launching, lets release ports of games that have already been out on the older consoles for months without any graphical upgrades or DLC packs ((talking about launch titles although Black Ops II is an exception kinda in terms of its release date.., not talking about NFS or Injustice or the upcomming games from Ubisoft, , Watch Dogs!!! why is 11/19 so far away...)) and then complain when they don't sell because the majority of gamers have already owned them on the 360, PS3 or PC~

Re: Pikmin 3 Will Need to Gather 3950MB to Download onto Your Wii U

renaryuugufan92

definitely a midnight download for me on august 4th~ i'm all for digital, i mean the console runs cooler since there is no disc spinning, and instead of getting a external HDD i'm using the adaptor method for SD Cards, which actually works really well, i moved NFS: Most Wanted U onto a SanDisk 32GB Ultra UH-1 30Mbps card and it ran off it wonderfully~

i do hope tho that Nintendo updates our accounts so they are more server based rather than tied to the system, thats the only real negative to me, but besides that i like the idea of having digital copies of my games, since i'm such a stickler (meaning super careful & not let anyone touch them) over my discs.. lol~

also since pikmin 3 if you add the usual day one update for wii u games is going to be just over 4GB it makes me wonder how big Wind Waker HD, and Mario 3D World will be, although Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. Wii U will surely go well above the 6 or even 10GB marks~

Re: Super Mario 3D World Producer Teases New Annoucement

renaryuugufan92

seeing as the Wii had 2 main series Mario game it makes since that the team at Tokyo EAD are already thinking about -and or working on- the next mario game for Wii U, I hope that we get a full on open world game similar to the likes of 64, and Sunshine, still hyped for 3D World this December tho! >.<

Re: Nintendo Reveal Why Its 3D Mario Title Isn't Super Mario Galaxy 3

renaryuugufan92

I'm glad they didn't do a Galaxy 3, sure galaxy would have looked amazing however a sequal to Mario 3D Land was much more likely from the get go. For me I thought that Nintendo could have gone three routes, the first would have been to do a co-op 3D mario game, which they have done here with 3D world, the second would have been Galaxy 3, and the third option, would have been to chance it and make something totally new and with the current situation regarding the Wii U's sales I think the decision to make 3D world was a great one. Super Mario 3D Land helped to boost 3DS sales greatly when it released in late 2011, and I believe that when 3D world comes out this December we will once again see a revivial of a platform thanks to our favorite plumber, not to mention a few months after this game we will be getting Mario Kart 8, then a matter of months after that the fourth super smash bros. and THEN a brand new Zelda~! so the future is bright for the Wii U, the only or should I say, REAL question is will third parties jump back on board when the systems fly off the shelves once these games arrive~?

Re: Video: Wii U Menu Speed Upgrade Cuts Waiting Time By More Than Half

renaryuugufan92

the load times never really bothered me, the random freezing every now and then does tho~ :X

anything we hope for in the upcoming updates? personally i want to see a feature that Iwata told us we'd have last year, and that is the ability to download software while the system is in stand-by a.k.a turned off~

also since long downloads present the risk of brick due to lose of power (in my case the 6 hour download of NFS: most wanted U i went through a few days ago had my heart pumping..) i think Nintendo should release additional OS software which would in theory allow temporary backups of important system data in case of a power-loss, of course this last part is a personal preference i'd like to see, idk about anyone else here~

Re: Pachter: Wii U Will Sell Between 30 to 50 Million Units During Its Lifetime

renaryuugufan92

interesting proposal patcher but you miss alot.. Nintendo is making profit on the 3DS and i'm sure its surpassed the 30 million mark by now~ the Wii U is approaching 4 million in under 5 months~

i am sure Nintendo will do just fine if they only sold 30-50 million Wii U's but the thing is, big hit games arn't out yet, look at the 3DS once the big games came out, it took off same is going to happen with the Wii U. Also i should note that consoles NEVER sell well during this time of the year~ one year from now we'll probably (keyword: probably not certainly) be hearing these "console market is dead" articles due to the PS4 and 720 having a slow first year...

"might be nintendo's last console" interesting considering the fact that Nintendo's stock just went up not down~ As much as i like sony i will point out that sony is in a much much worse position than Nintendo atm, the Vita (despite having a boost of sales in Japan recently) has had a poor first year, and the PS4's success is going to rely on 2 things, price and games~

all this was i.m.o btw~ we won't know the real end results of the Eighth generation console sales until it ends some 4 to 7 years down the road, happy gaming~ =)

Re: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

renaryuugufan92

those who are saying its better than mario kart 7 i ask you all this~?

how~?!

the framerate is horrid on this version of all-stars racing, on mario kart 7 you had constant 60fps even with the 3d on, and a good internet connection~

not saying this is a bad racing game no, far from it, but framerate is very important when it comes to any kind of racing game and mk7 is by far the optimum kart racer on the 3DS, Sonic All-Stars racing is good, but the framerate issues keep it back quite a bit to be perfectly honest~

graphically both games look good, but MK7 has more polish than Sonic Transformed on the 3DS while still maintaining a healthy frame-rate ~

Re: Wii U Resident Evil: Revelations To Feature Off-Screen Play and Pro Controller Support

renaryuugufan92

@belmont it is the best RE game since RE4~

i played the PS3 version of RE6 when it came out because my friend got it, the presentation was good, the story good, the gameplay... -twiddles my fingers- unless you like having quicktime events everytime you stumble too close to a zombie ((literally every 2 seconds especially during ambushes)) then its definitely the game for you, RE6 was the first game to truely frustrate me in years to be honest, and the only time i enjoyed it was during the cutscenes..

Revelations on the other hand made me feel like I was playing a original RE game with RE4/5 gameplay, which was great in my opinion, and unlike RE6 the gameplay in Revelations is addictive and barely if ever becomes frustrating (i even found the swimming levels to be fun).

so in the end i probably won't get the Wii U version for awhile due to the fact that I have it on the 3DS~ but to me Revelations is the better game of the two, especially in the gameplay department~

Re: Resident Evil Revelations Set to Infest Wii U

renaryuugufan92

i'm glad that they are porting this to the wii u instead of RE6, i played RE6 on the ps3 at a friend's house, and the contant action commands every other second a zombie or monster would jump out at you got quite annoying imo and i always felt Revelations was what RE6 should have been due to Revelations having the action gameplay from RE4 and 5 but with a nice focus on claustrophobic don't turn that corner to quickly scares that the early games were well known for~ However with that said its unlikely i'll be getting the wii u version tho, cause i got the original on the 3DS a year ago~ ^^"""""

Re: Feature: Wii U Launch Day, Live!

renaryuugufan92

@CeroNavy
after the update we are suppose to have 3GB available for use in the basic set and 25GB available in the deluxe~

also Ron, once your Wii U is done updating could you confirm if Wii mode lets you use the systems memory, or if it has its own dedicated memory for virtual console games/saves and wii saves~ thanks for the answer when you can respond~ also i can't wait to get my Deluxe Wii U soon~

Re: Official Youtube App Launches On The Wii In North America

renaryuugufan92

i do believe this will be available for the Wii U, having said that the quality is great, so much better then the youtube XL we've been using for 6 years on the internet channel, i recommend downloading the youtube channel regardless if your getting the Wii U in 2 days or not~ ((10:38 EST when i posted this so its technically a day and a hour 1/2 for the midnight launch here in the US~))
