See ya in 2017!

The Legend of Zelda Wii U was announced at E3 way back in 2014, with some lovely looking footage of an HD Hyrule getting fans hyped up all the way. At the time, it was announced that it would be launching in 2015, a date that even then seemed unlikely. Sure enough, the game was later delayed to 2016, and ever since we've been waiting on a narrower release window to be announced. Well, the release window has been updated, but most of you probably won't like it.

In the financial briefing that just took place, it was revealed that Zelda Wii U is being pushed back to 2017. Yes, you read that right. 2017. Rumours have been circulating for some time now that this game would be a dual release with the Wii U and NX, much like how Twilight Princess was between GameCube and Wii. It is now confirmed that will be the case, by Nintendo of Europe. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait?

What do you think? Will the final product be worth the delay? Why do you think it was delayed again? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
