They sooooo need to bring this back. Bond is perfect for the style of the series (at least the only slapstick style before voice acting). I don’t care if it’s not big with kids, Lego games by this point are over 20 years old and hit more than one demographic.

@rvcolem1 Honestly the opposite for me, can’t imagine how awkward controls wise a lot of the staple puzzles would be and the DS features actually resulted in some of the most inventive puzzles in the series.

While I do prefer the 2D Layton games (and Ace Attorney) I do quite like the artstyle in this one. Hope the puzzles are good.

At least in the UK this game was insanely popular. Basically everyone had it. The soundtrack is a complete blast of nostalgia.

I guess it’s only original series games but I’d like to see GX Dual Academy return, I do enjoy that game.

Starts at ‘don’t assume we’re all evil’ level fake floating voters to them slowly spouting more and more hateful rhetoric until they’re entirely indistinguishable from the true believers.

Spin round into Tate and flip screen! Handheld foldable screens are much more common thanks to those phones, that way you can transport it easier if it’s foldable.

This took a while to click but oh my god when it clicks it clicks. Immaculately designed. Up there with the games of the year for sure. Definitely a fun platinum on PS5.

@Ulysses That implies that the 3D presentation would look more impressive than DS graphics which in Game Freak’s case just isn’t so.

@LikelySatan I actually quite like portions of AoD. Full of early PS2 gripes though, the loading times, crowbarring of PS1 boxy concepts into a more naturally 3D space etc. Glad we never got the planned Kurtis Trent spinoff though, had disaster written all over it.

@johnedwin I loved that the SNES version you could press a different button to automatically search/interact, made the game so much less tedious.

Not being funny, that’s f**king vile. The D-pad is horrendous, the plastic looks cheaper than the original, clicky buttons is a bad bad idea with that button placement. Way too wide too, horrid looking controller.

@Lightsiyd You’re either playing dumb or, well, the boot fits. The game received tons of backlash on reveal for the main character being black, that’s just a fact. The use of hip hop in the trailer too. I don’t care about this fake Gamergate 2 nonsense, the SBI outrage is QAnon levels of brain rot.

Why are people pretending like this game wasn’t the target of a hate campaign on racist grounds? It evaporated after the very positive reviews but that had to have at least had an impact on sales. It’s vile.

Just the chiptunes alone are worth it. Seen a lot of especially young queer people talking about how this film’s aged and sure, it has in a lot of areas but oh boy did it open a lot of doors for people in a very different time. And the songs are great!

Love him. Grew up in a council house the other end of town, gone to the highest heights. Celtic fan too which helps. A genuine inspiration, with great taste in games too! I remember his story about burning Oblivion on his stove to stop him playing it so much, must have been around when he was starting to really break through after Shameless and Narnia.
