@DrJoson Easily the best of the Tennant specials, probably one of the scariest New Who episodes in general. Sort of mad it’s that good given how clearly done RTD and Tennant were at that time.

@rio_j I dunno, generally the quality of acting in Eastenders is more impressive than the sort you get in the Yank soaps. Might just be due to the acting pathway in the UK prioritising stage and study over looking good in underwear.

@rvcolem1 Borderlands is essentially just Diablo with guns. That genre needs the post-launch support to control power creep, make balance changes and add new enemies to handle the increased damage output. Believe me, if any game needed a firm hand after launch, it’s something like Borderlands. It’s less that the game is incomplete and more that you need to work hand in hand with the community to shape the future of the game, you can’t get a true representation of the meta just through internal testing.

Tbh, the game does need a roadmap because having played The Pre Sequel very recently, that’s what happens when support is planned but not followed through. The game feels so barebones compared to 2 because that game had so much post-release support that the game is a brilliant package.

@Jeff2sayshi Nothing will top Yakuza 3’s chapter literally called The Plot which explains the entire game’s plot in a big cutscene. My PS5 almost shut down into standby mode.

@Jeff2sayshi The beginning to 0 is one of the slowest paced games of all time. Once it clicks, and it will, you’re in for one of the best games of all time.

Kiwami 2 (and 6) still runs at 30FPS on the PS5 which is why I’m reluctant to go back and replay it. Switch 2’s boost is impressive given it’s a handheld.

@AJWolfTill @IronMan30 Seeing Philip J Reed here was a bit of a shock, such a terrible shame what happened. It’s sort of nice to see names that have left us be immortalised here.

I’d ask for them to fix the shoddy collision but it seems to be pretty heavily baked into the game. You just get an awful lot of ‘this doesn’t feel quite right’ which I never had in 1+2, whether that’s spine transfers bugging so I land on my face or wallrides not registering/clipping on scenery. Then again, the fact I’m still getting over 10 million point sessions on each park compared to how difficult I found 1+2’s secret scores speaks to how great the level design of 3 and some of 4 is for those high score runs. I’ve really been appreciating Canada much more now, one of my favourite maps in the entire series, just chasing that top 1000 in the world but I’m getting pushed down by the cheaters daily at this point.

Honestly surprising but good to see as a fan of the series. My guess is that the Switch 2 doesn’t quite have the bottomless audience that the first one did in the UK, you kept wondering who didn’t already own Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Just find it odd to make your third game a remaster of your first game. Feels like a dev that was set up for 1 specific game and now feels lost.

@jesse_dylan Yes? Even just The Champion’s Ballad is up there with the most memorable Zelda tunes, along with Tarrey Town’s changing melody as you add more citizens. With boss fights, character themes, town themes etc all having distinct melodies, it’s only really the field themes and the shrines that are more sparse.
