Ehhh was never a fan of the other human characters. Prefer them to be aliens or to just be full on isolation. Feels like it’s erring slightly closer towards Other M than the main series.

My sister got this, Harvest Moon DS and Nintendogs with her pink DS Lite and that had to be about 2006 I think, cause me and my brother got the Wii the same year. Funnily enough, our mortgage was with Northern Rock and a year later we were homeless and the parents were getting divorced. Always read into overly generous Christmas presents kids!

This game is amazing. The port does not sound amazing.

The EU version has better voices than the US version too. You get Luke from Professor Layton saying “Inerzoomer Eleven”.

@Dr_Wright Being able to actually ride the rides was worth going 3D imo. None of the later entries even come close to the first 3 anyway.

Still own my original PC copies of this and the expansions. Great game.

Yeah, this is what I expected when they hinted at some changes to the story. It’s a pretty bold move for the genre what becomes of Kiefer in the original. So of course here’s a remake that changes things.

It’s a kids movie. Just put out a trailer and be done with it.

20 years is mental to be fair. I’ve been here about half of that because ONM’s death was my pathway here but it’s still the best Nintendo site out there!

Difficult to decide between this and Wild World for my favourite AC soundtrack. Probably my favourite game in the series though, NH felt like a step in a direction I’m not fond of, and the mayor powers in NL were right on the line of what I really want the player to have control over in their town. You’re a resident living life in the town, that’s what the series should be, a collective group of villagers as equals.

Anyone who buys this needs their head checked.

Hm. I worry that this will become a PS5 situation where tiny upgrades become a substitute for new games. By now they should really have been working on the next game for a good while.

Rune Factory 4 is up there with my favourite games of all time. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for this.

@UpsideDownRowlet This is not related to the FIFA games, they stopped being called that 3 years ago now. FIFA is the regulatory body for football. This is just the equivalent of College Football 26 making a deal with the NCAA for licenses.

One a year. Only spare income I have is around my birthday and that’ll usually go on one new game. Anything else is either borrowed copies from friends or through PS Plus.

@Dang_69 You’re completely right, a lot of the image and video-generating models have been trained on Disney, Pixar and Ghibli so there’s a distinct style emerging of AI generated cartoons in that they owe their DNA to plagiarised Pixar movies. I reckon the Spider-Verse/TMNT Mutant Mayhem art style is going to be the major human-driven style of the next decade of animation. A more sketchy/rough style appeals to the human spirit more than rounded corners and soft colours in an age where you get bombarded with that distinctly AI style.

Having not played the remake, I didn’t even realise they changed the soundtrack. Really should dig out my original copy. I sold a bunch of games a couple weeks back because yes, things are getting that bad, but I’m not completely confident that the Cube discs aren’t too scratched from 25 years worth of storage and mistreatment from an idiot (me) to really be sellable in good conscience. Shame too, this and Skies of Arcadia Legends would probably fetch a few bob.

@Ogbert Water consumption too, it’s an incredibly thirsty industry considering the returns. It’s possibly the biggest folly that humans have ever pursued, driven entirely by the greed of a small set of billionaires that want to impose this on the rest of us and ruin as many lives as possible.

This is absolutely horrific. There is zero benefit to any of this. Remember when they said AI would cure cancer, create jobs, rewire people’s brains etc. Instead its making slop, serving us ads and making people more stupid.

@johnedwin And I’ve only played the SNES remasters of 1, 2 and 3. They use the old names before the retranslated ones that are around these days.

@DrJoson Easily the best of the Tennant specials, probably one of the scariest New Who episodes in general. Sort of mad it’s that good given how clearly done RTD and Tennant were at that time.

That’s pretty big, she’s a hell of an actress and it’s sort of a little sad to see Eternals be what she’s known for when Humans is that good.

70s is an inspired choice, gives the vibe of the Peter Ustinov movie.

60FPS should be the priority for sports games. Visual fluff is not as necessary as smooth gameplay.

@rio_j I dunno, generally the quality of acting in Eastenders is more impressive than the sort you get in the Yank soaps. Might just be due to the acting pathway in the UK prioritising stage and study over looking good in underwear.

Had no idea Rimmer did these games. Bit random for Rick Astley to be in it but eh, he’s had a bit of a revival outside of just memes.

I mean, it couldn’t not end with a teaser considering what happens at the end of the game. It would be like watching Fellowship of the Ring then thinking yeah that’s that, won’t bother with the rest.

Man, the Switch 2 on paper is such a leap forwards but devs just don’t seem to be taking advantage.
