@batmanbud2 That is factually wrong. You’ve stated something literally without a shadow of a doubt false. Emulation is not piracy. Emulation can be used for piracy in the exact same way that you can pirate games on a legitimate Switch. That’s like saying playing DVDs on your PC is piracy.

Ah f**k, as long as there’s no copyrighted files provided then it should be fine. Emulation is decades old at this point, there’s no stopping it.

@NotTelevision If nothing else, Chappell being American means at least she isn’t privately educated. I quite liked some of the Last Dinner Party’s stuff and they do get a lot of crap but the whole private school crap is practically the only way any band makes it here these days.

I really love these games. Having been brought up going to church on a Sunday and thinking that a lot of the stories were metal as f*ck despite not exactly believing and also slightly put off by the idea that I was a horrible sinner who would burn for all eternity… this ticks all my boxes. It’s like all of the cool bits without the Catholic guilt.

@Zebetite God I loved this package. The museum aspects alone make it so much more appealing than just emulating myself. Also, I f**king hate emulating Atari or similar consoles, I always found it a nightmare. For reference, I’m hopelessly addicted to RetroAchievements and I’d still recommend this game.

Still find it utterly hilarious how there were people moaning about this game being ‘woke’ and they all vanished as soon as it reviewed that well.

Poor Eric does seem to be sort of stuck forever updating this. We do, in general, have a massive problem with letting go or letting things die. It’s ok to get to a point where you can say your work is done. You’ll end up chasing perfection for all eternity. Besides, you just end up with horribly overblown code, sequels are more than anything a great way to trim the fat.

@JSC016 Both are sort of difficult to begin with! I played 0 first and muddled my way through the many callbacks to the first 5 games and appreciated them a lot when I made my way throughout the rest of the series. But then Kiwami is essentially a sequel to 0, with the way they tie it in! Both are good to play first and also not, I’d say 0 is the better game though.

Sure it’s Kiwami and not 0 but these games are so brilliant that I hope there’s a new audience of Switch only players.

The Switch is already just big enough to not entirely be comfortable imo. I miss the form factor of the 3DS, that was far more comfortable and you could maximise screen space far more conveniently these days.

Honestly if you go literally anywhere in the world with historical sites, you’ll find enough fertility symbols to realise that it’s one of the most accurately depicted monsters in the series despite being a massive penis.
