The sale will kick off at 4pm PT – so during the show itself – and will include games like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Raji: An Ancient Epic, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and CARRION. There'll be other deals too, of course, but we won't know which titles will be discounted until the sale begins. So far, the sale has been confirmed for fans in North America.

Inb4 Fire Emblem is the only Nintendo developed game on sale.......and it’s 33% again lol
It’ll be nice to see if the sale ever takes a first party Nintendo title below £33 for a change, though I very much doubt it.
@The_Pixel_King They probably won't. Nintendo knows that we'll buy it anyways. 😭
New FE smash character incoming!
Ori for Smash?
But Fire Emblem isn’t even at the Game Awards this year...
@uhhhhhhhh Sakurai better find a safe room if this is the case lol
@ToadBrigade or... is it?
@neufel wait...the new Smash fighter is 8-Bit Marth from the 30th anniversary fire Emblem
Not sure who they’ll announce but fingers crossed it’s the car from Daytona USA 👀
I bought this game a few months ago 10/10 game
Hopefully it's a legit sale. I want fe three houses but at a decent price
I want a bunch of Nintendo games but I refuse to pay ridiculous prices for games that are years old & games that have just been ported from a previous console , Nintendo really should do what playstation do with their 'playstation hits'
"Remember when Nintendo published games that were nominated in award shows? Take a walk down memory lane with Fire Emblem: Three Houses!"
(I kid)
@Would_you_kindly The did have something similar on 3DS with Nintendo Selects. I agree they should have a line-up like that on Switch too.
Nintendo sales suck, its the same shovelware and the usual 33% off Nintendo games.
Fingers crossed Ori gets a decent discount but im not going to get my hopes up.
@Would_you_kindly They actually used to do that I think. It was called "Nintendo Selects" and they had them for the Wii, Wii U and 3DS. Any game that was chosen would drop to $20. I don't know why they stopped.
@ToadBrigade Fire Emblem won the Player’s Choice vote last year.
@Vortexeo Nothing indicates that that won't happen again. Nintendo waited a while for the first selects on 3DS to hit. In fact, it was about 4 years after 3DS launched (in NA, at least). We haven't gotten there for Switch, yet.
@NicheAbou with the "skipping CD" aesthetic for the main Daytona song! "DAYTON-na-NA-na-NA-na-NA-na!" https://youtu.be/7c2NBqwxDII
@IronMan30 I hope so as I want Mario Kart but im not willing to pay £80 for the 2 copies we would need. Would love to see them around the £15 mark like PlayStation hits.
@VGScrapbook dude don’t spoil his final smash GOSH
@Broosh one playable Bernadette, and I might consider being his personal bodyguard (for the ten seconds before my demise, but surely it's the thought that counts).
@ChaosBadger777 Mario Kart is a wild card. I don't think they'll discount that one so heavily.
@IronMan30 its a port of a last gen game.
If they released some kind of classics collection and didn't include it, it would show just how money grabby and anti consumer they have become.
@ChaosBadger777 Take what you will from it, I'm just saying I don't see it happening. lol
@IronMan30 I dont see them releasing a discounted version of any of their first party games unfortunately - especially as the release schedule has now slowed to a trickle, they want new adapters ofbthe hardware to pay full price for those sweet first party games.
I was just saying if they did, I would get Mariokart for us to play on between Diablo runs.
MK8D won't have a price drop, not until MK9 (what I don't believe before next gen). I would bet BotW may have a Price drop with BotW2, but they didn't do that with the first Hyrule Warriors. In fact, if the games are selling well, why should they price drop them?
Nintendo having any kind of decent sale on their first party titles would require them to not be constantly high off of their own fumes. Nintendo is a company of immense arrogance. I can play brand new first party titles day one with Xbox Game Pass for $10 a month (as well as a ton of other good stuff), but Nintendo can't even discount 6-7 year old ports from the Wii U to as low as half? Arrogance and greed. Greedogance.
@Itachi2099 I got mine for 50% of during black Friday. Not disappointed that I waited a year and a half.
@Kyoshi Not really arrogance or greed. It ensures price parity through the lifespan of the product and establishes that they value the product enough to not discount it. Too many developers allow discounts a month after release resulting in a race to the bottom. In buying Nintendo I never feel stupid with my purchase since they go on sale so infrequently, typically a couple years after release. Whereas any other dev I am literally paying a premium to buy on day one.
Link's Awakening is the only game I've got at full price. Even as a noob getting back in the game, I quickly wised up to "wish list it and see what happens". I want Mario Kart, DK Tropical Freeze, some other top price games, but the prices always feel really steep, especially when I'm regularly picking up brilliant deals on the eshop for a fiver or less.
@Wilforce I mean, sure, but hardly ever discounting 7 year old Wii U ports? Hyrule Warriors for one example, you'd think with it being a 6 year old game from the Wii U AND the fact that a new game in that series just came out, why not celebrate that by discounting the other one? They won't even put it on sale for a half decent price, let alone do a permanent price drop.
While I get what you're saying, I have no doubts that arrogance plays a role in what they do and how they decide these things. A massive sense of "We're just so good that we never need to discount anything."
Rayman for smash c'mon where my fans at?
@Wilforce 100% agreed. This plus the fact that Nintendo doesn't usually require day one patches as much as others is the reason why I can very safely pre-order Nintendo games, but very rarely do so for Xbox where I know a better version of the game will definitely be available later at aa lower price. I'm looking at you Cyberpunk, see you in 3-6 months.
How many Smash characters do we have left from this batch?
@mjharper I wish, but I actually had a dream about Challenger Pack 9 in which 8 had already been revealed to be Ori lol
I really want this game if the price goes down anoff I will probably buy it.
Sale isn't even announced yet and people are whining and complaining...
@NintendoByNature I want Three Houses too, but as someone who’s never really played a strategy game before, much less any previous games in the FE series, I’m worried about shelling out £49.99 (or the previously discounted price of £33.49) in case I don’t end up getting on with it.
However, if we ever see a half-price sale, I’ll most likely take a punt on it, but I really don’t see that happening any time soon or, knowing Nintendo like we do, perhaps even ever!
@The_Pixel_King yep I'm with ya. On black Friday here in the US gamestop had it for 27. Im kicking myself for not pulling the trigger but I was strapped for cash as it was at that time.
I can tell you that the release of the shadow dragon game really made me want to dive in to 3H. If I thoroughly enjoyed the 8bit watered down version, ill no doubt love 3H
This is unfair...
Nintendo as always has nothing good on discount for europe...
@NintendoByNature Now that was a good price. It may take a little while, but keeping my fingers crossed for you that you find it again at a similarly discounted price in the not too distant future!
Would be nice to see some of these season passes go on sale.
I just sadly realised that a another fire Emblem character for smash
Is it live yet?
@Snatcher i want that game too
@NicheAbou Just watched one of my favorite streamers play some Fighters Megamix on the Saturn, where the Daytona car WAS a playable character. Turns out it was a pretty bad gimmick character.
Another batch of lazy sales
@Wilforce it's more an issue of supply and demand. Sony has so many great games coming out that developers have to heavily discount games to get people to continue purchasing them.
Nintendo only puts out a few games a generation and has very little third party support beyond indies and shovelware. They don't have to discount because there is no competition.
No hades? Why no Hades?
It's strange that the original tweet mentions Raji being one of the games discounted, but it's not in the list of games that are actually on sale right now. I guess the sale on Raji ended before the others?
@Vortexeo I wish they would do that with the WiiU ports especially. Granted, I have a few of them already, but I would not mind NSMBU bc I did not have Luigi.
As for this sale, I picked up Astral Chain. Not a bad deal..
I wish they'd do the FE DLC, too.
For those who are interested in gifting these, you can purchase it as a download code if you buy it from Amazon, instead of having it download directly to your Switch
@Itachi2099
If a Game is over and over again on Sale for the same Ammount, than it is the regular Price and those %%% are a Lie haha
What a Shame.
@Itachi2099 Nintendo reminds me of Valve. Valve can't count past 2 and Nintendo cant count past 33% lol
