A new crossover event set to take place in Dragalia Lost has been revealed, and this time The Phantom Thieves of Hearts have arrived.
That's right, Nintendo and Cygames' mobile RPG will be teaming up with the Persona franchise for a new event called 'Caged Desire'. It all kicks off on 31st January and lets you use co-op play to fight against a raid boss with no elemental attunement. Here are all the details you need:
A sudden string of strange occurrences has rocked the continent of Grastaea. At the head of this twisted crusade stands none other than Prince Emile himself. As innocent subjects suffer under the yoke of this villain, the Prince and friends are joined by the Phantom Thieves in a rush to explore the imperial-capital-turned-Metaverse before the world as they know it is corrupted forever!
Event Duration: 31/01/2021 at 06:00 to 12/02/2021 at 05:59
Notes:
1. Players must have completed up to Chapter 2 / 2-1 (Normal) of the main campaign to participate in event quests.
2. Players must have completed up to Chapter 2 / 2-1 (Normal) of the main campaign to play co-op.
Do you regularly play Dragalia Lost on mobile? If not, will this event be enough to convince you to give it another go? Let us know in the comments.

Really this wasnt for a app but its still cool that atluse and nintendo are getting so close maybe persona 5 on the switch?
Super cool, but like, just pull the trigger and port the damn game to switch already. It's getting Strikers, Joker's in Smash, now this. Stop teasing us.
Since I have Mario Kart, Dr. Mario, Mario Run, and FE Heroes I completely forgot about Dragalia Lost.
I still play the game but casually since I'm at the point that I don't want to spend anymore than I need to.
Love P5 but man, P5 has more crossovers than anyone did in the NBA.
@thecowgoesmoo87 Sony almost certainly has an exclusivity deal on P5, just as Nintendo probably does with Shin Megami Tensei V.
Oh boy, I'm just laughing looking at this. This is one of the most random silliest event I have ever seen. I think it would have been better for them to do Persona 4 or 3 instead, but that'll never happen. Man they just keep pushing P5 in my face, one of the reasons I didn't bother to replay the game.
I played this game for a long time, until I realized that I was only autoplaying the levels and was only focused on the hero collecting and team building. I did enjoy the crossovers in this game (Mega Man, Fire Emblem, etc.), and building a strong team was not difficult even if you're F2P like I was, but the game itself lost its appeal for me.
@Okapi sorry but sony don't have exclusive deal with Atlus and persona title. Persona 5 didn't come to the switch because Atlus laziness that's it. Even persona 4 brought it to the computer after how many years have passed.
Wait they still supporting Dragalia Lost??? 0_0
Can we get a non-gacha Dragalia Lost game on Switch? The lore and characters are already there, now upgrade the gameplay to make a full story! Would make for a great RPG series that Nintendo desperately needs.
@Snatcher It's nice to see Atlus and Nintendo collab again but the chances of Royal coming to the Switch is still unlikely. Strikers is probably the closest we're going to get to seeing Persona 5 on the switch.
We'll never see the actual game coming to Nintendo Switch.
Dragalia is such a high budget mobile game I wish it got an actual proper switch game that adds more of a console feel to it.
Could be some kinda retelling game or even a prequel with the great war.
If only this was available in my country...
P5 has been out for years, there's been enough time to save enough money for a PS3/4/5 and play the game if it's that important.
...but we're just going to complain? Okay.
To everyone thinking Persona 5 is ever coming to the switch....

It's not, grow up.
@QueenKittenWrite Aug 31, 2019. It makes no sense. Without an official and up-to-date statement.
I really love Dragalia Lost's artwork. Cygames does a phenomenal job blending softer tones with good lines.
When will Dragalia Lost be ported to the Switch?? I need proper analog controls to enjoy it fully, plus my phone is so old that it overheats before even half an hour. And if not, a Dragalia Lost: Relink has got to be in the works.
I still doubt this actually increases the chance of mainline Persona in general coming to Nintendo consoles in the near future but it's nice that Nintendo is going out of their way to collab with Atlus on stuff like this despite Persona being one of the only MegaTen spinoffs that's not too prominent on their consoles. Strikers isn't actually too reliant on people's knowledge on Persona 5 so I at least hope that through this crossover more people give the game a chance
@AlexSora89 I mean hey at least with all this teasing from Atlus for the last few years surely it'll give you enough time to save up and buy a PS4 or even a PS5 so you can check out what you've been missing
P5 is one of the best RPGs I played this decade even if I found its story even more predictable than P4's
I've been playing Dragalia since the Megaman crossover. I've been enjoying it so far
@Mr_Persona To be honest they milked Persona 4 quite a bit after its release too. We had Persona 4 Arena, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Persona Q, Persona 4 Dancing All Night, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 4 the Animation, Persona 4 the Golden Animation, the crossover with Persona 4 in BlazBlue Crosstag Battle...
It only makes sense that they're going to do the crossover with the most recent and most popular title in the series. Especially considering this crossover is meant to align with the western release of Persona 5 Strikers.
I wish Dragalia was a game on Switch.... Y'all can keep the mobile aspects and such, I just hate using my phone to play games. I'd rather play on a controller.... But the game is fun... Just get turned off because it's on my phone
Atlus isn't getting a dime from me until we get a real Persona game on Switch. Not a spinoff or collab, a real, full, JRPG Persona game.
Give us the game in Europe ffs
@Heavyarms55 Christ ok I hate to be that guy but seriously at this point you would really be better off just buying a second hand PS4, or borrowing one from a friend, or just anything instead of just bickering about a game you were literally never promised in the first place
If you truly actually cared about Persona in the first place, why would you get a Switch? The main entries have been PlayStation/PC-exclusive since its inception in 1996
Not every Smash character has to come with a free port of their game on the side. That's not how this works. Better yet, why not just get Persona 4 Golden on PC? It literally runs on any laptop or desktop with Windows given its meager spec requirements and still holds up even today despite being a well over 10 year old PS2 game
Are Atlus also not getting a dime from you when SMT Nocturne and SMT V come out on Switch because you're that goddamn bitter you can't date your anime waifus in it either
@JokerCK I doubt much has changed. If Atlus were that committed to making Persona multiplatform, I guarantee you Golden would've released on PS4 and Switch in addition to Steam instead of just Steam, especially given the game was originally made for a handheld console
@Cynas Yeah but it's nice seeing something from an old game. Too bad Persona 3 didn't get a lot a lot of love like the other 2.
@TheFrenchiestFry Is that your new username? I really like it and it makes me hungry xD Now I want some fries.
@QueenKittenWrite Just wanna say, I like your message👍
It’s been a couple of moons, but I like Dragalia Lost. Was definitely more fun with Mega Man because even for his weapon type, his playstyle is so unique. I’ll probably get Joker and see what he does.
I Would like the game ported to switch directly. Yes, a non-gacha sequel that uses the lore and characters and keeps the gauntlet style gameplay would be nice too, but I’d like a direct, corresponds to your nintendo account port.
Controller controls would be a cinch to map. And it’s not like you’d be the first mobile game on switch. If you throw in: Local multiplayer through the story mode, I’ll pay five for it. Enough guaranteed five star heroes and dragons, along with special character based side missions with permanent access (even if you only unlock the characters by beating the side missions) and the promise to be able to buff them to competitive level completely offline (and still local multiplayer as well as online with randoms/friends)? I’ll give you twenty.
There’s my offers, Dragalia Lost team.
@Slowdive Yeah, it kind of rattles me how they're basically advertising Persona 5 specifically, rather than the franchise as a whole. If you look at Age of Calamity, it didn't need all this glorified branding for people to know that it's related to Breath of the Wild.
@Ttimer5
Then again, even if they were to make a Switch port, it might just end up like Pokémon Cafe where you HAVE to use the touchscreen.
@Slowdive And then come all these requests for Persona 5, the actual game, to be ported to the Switch, but hold on a minute. Aren't we getting Shin Megami Tensei V, a game considered to be part of a main series that the Persona series is a spin-off to? Doesn't Atlus already have enough on their hands to hold off on a P5 port? I seriously don't see why people are not considering that.
