Publisher QubicGames is this weekend hosting a special sale. If you buy any one of the following fighting games for €1.99 / $1.99, you'll get the rest of them for free - so that's four games all up!
If you already happen to have at least one of these games in your Switch library, you'll also be eligible to claim the rest of them for free. The titles included in this offer are Akuto: Showdown, Akane, Coffee Crisis and One Strike.
As noted, this is a weekend only deal - so if you're interested in adding any of these digital games to your Switch library, make sure to take advantage of this offer sooner rather than later.
Will you be adding any of these games to your Switch menu? Comment below. Thanks to ralphdibny for the heads up.

I have no idea if these games are quality or not but this does sound like an amazing deal
Considering One-Strike was one of the games they gave for free last year, this is an easy deal (or should I say gift) for many, myself included.
It's honestly and positively shocking how generous they are every year with their deals and promotions.
@Clyde_Radcliffe Saw your comment evolve and change between edits, getting less and less positive XD;;;
Yeah, they publish so many games that it's a true mixed bag, but I think some of them are definitly worth a spin, especially when on sale (or well, for free, that's a price very hard to argue with).
@Clyde_Radcliffe I have Akane and that's decent. Probably won't set your heart on fire, but it's well worth a couple of quid, good little blast of a game. Then you can sample the others for nowt. Good deal tbf 👍
@BakaKnight Haha! Grid Mania has a good review on here (7/10) and looks like a good Rubiks Cube style puzzle game so think I'm gonna download that.
Thanks Liam for the heads-up! I already owned Coffee Crisis so just had to download the other 3. 👍
@BakaKnight I removed it completely now because I saw the publisher had an account on here and has commented on articles about their games so felt bad... I shouldn't judge by graphics alone anyway!
@PapaMurphy Thanks, will look into it!
That's Coffee Crisis and Akuto into my library, as early as last night (yes, the console's news channels can actually be useful) since I already had the rest. And here I thought the other day's eShop spree would wrap up my Switch gains for this month.
I think I already have two of them, does that mean the other two are free?
@geozel Credit to @ralphdibny - gave @dartmonkey the heads up.
Its worth noting that if you already own one of these, you get the others for free. And these are pretty decent games too (I tried all of them already). Those who got One Strike free with QubicGames' big giveaway last year get another set of free games.
@Thegaminggeek I've added this in.
Darn it I don't own any of them OH WELL.
well i used points for it so didnt pay anything played coffe crisis before and it wasnt to bad.
@Liam_Doolan thanks for the shout out in the article! 🤩 I'll add you to the tag list in the forum thread, it normally gets copy and pasted into a new post when there is a fair batch of free games available
Already had One Strike from a previous offer so getting the other three free is nice. Bless!
Wow. Generous of them. Just downloaded them for free.
One strike was given free by them last time. Thanks
With all their free games probably half my library is Qubic now.
@Spalltendo One strike is a good 1 hit fighter, coffee crisis is a pretty good beat em up, akuto showdown is a little pretty good fighter, akane i haven't tried yet but i heard it's pretty good.
Already owned it, so i got the 3 missing games for free.
Qubic (and Baltoro games) policy seems to be “if buy one of our games for 0.20 ctvs. we will give you free ones for a lifetime.” There’s not a week when they aren’t giving away one of their games for free.. can’t complain about that, even if the majority of them are budget games, there are some interesting ones mixed in, Im looking at you Paratopic..
I've only ever downloaded their games for free.
But the novelty of fReE shovelware wore thin and I deleted them all from my console. Too much clutter, and I didn't want them mixing with all the AAA icons.
Barely worth mentioning, but I also noticed there's free puzzle DLC for their puzzle book game if you already have it.
I've gotten just about every free game offered in the chain last time, and honestly have not touched them for more than a couple minutes each. That being said, Coffee Crisis and Akane look more like the kind of games I'd give a whirl. So I'm a little more excited to give these a spin.
One Strike is a lot of fun with a friend!
I had a lot more fun with one strike than I thought I would. I have spent over 100 hours on their game REKT. My kids play Geki yaba runner and laugh like banshees. Thanks Qubic!
I own Akane what's really fun so it looks like i'm covered here. I like Qubic, they aren't great but for the prices they charge and the various sales they provide some good fun for a cheap price.
@Spalltendo Akane is pretty good top-down slasher. If you like Hotline Miami, then you are gonna like this one too. It is so damn cool. The music is awesome. You feel like playing the character of The bride in movie Kill Bill.
Coffee Crisis were also good and have a great soundtrack.
It's an interesting business model they have at Qubic. I'm grateful for the free games, though I'm equally glad they are the only studio on Switch that seem to have this "churn out loads of inexpensive games, then give them away toward the end of the year so we top the downloads chart" approach.
@Cinaclov Their business model is that they give the games away free because it gets them high on the charts. They are basically manipulating the charts in advance of Christmas so they will be the first thing that people see when they go into the eShop.
The game themselves are a mixed bag. Some like Rekt and Utopia9 I have really enjoyed, others not so much. To be brutally honest, they remind me mostly of old c64 games with updated graphics (sometimes). I say that in they are normally single concept games with the look of a single developer or small team.
So how does this deal work. You buy one and the rest change to free?
At this rate I'll own every game they've ever released without giving them a dime.
@Darknyht I know. It's reasonably clever, but my point was I'm so glad they're the only studio on Switch that seems to take that approach; otherwise it would end up like mobile stores, just clogged full of guff
I bought one strike well before that chain of free games last year and quite enjoy it. Really like the music in game, and as someone above said, it’s very fun with a friend. Probably will download the other 3
@Darknyht c64!! Hahaha! You're right! Is that why it feels slightly nostalgic playing them?
I literally own almost all of their games and I haven't paid anything!
Cool!!!
Ah, also I haven't played a single minute
I already had One Strike I got free from last year so I downloaded the other three.
Akane and Coffee Crisis it is then! Thanks Qubic!
@Rypopo it does for me. I’ve been going back and revisiting some of the c64 stuff through VICE and YouTube.
It amazes me what they did with just 64k for memory and a 8-bit processor. But then I have always been fascinated with seeing how far people can push or laterally think with withered technology.
Thank you for the heads-up, NL. I already had (and enjoyed) One Strike from a prior free game deal, so this was a lovely little surprise.
I've lost count of the number of free qubic games I have sitting unplayed on my switch, but I'll take 3 more anyway.
I didn't see this until Monday morning, and I was still able to download the three games I didn't have for free. Thanks again, NL!
@Darknyht too true. Sometimes limitations force innovation and creativity in really cool ways. I still have fond memories of our c64 (aside from it breaking down often and needing to touch a grounding pad whenever we used it). Skate or Die and a city-destroying monster game come to mind. Flip the disc!
I enjoyed One Strike as well most of my family members during the Thanksgiving holiday. Even got the DLC because of it. Going to have to give these other free games a try.
