@AlonditeFE you're absolutely right, friend, it is still a great game, but is it a great game because Hyrule field is pretty empty, bland and, by today's standards, graphically unimpressive? I think it's a great game in spite of that.

I haven't played Prime 4 yet but, from what I've seen and heard, this desert area seems genuinely comparable to Hyrule field. This is not good at all.

I mean, is there a human being alive who saw that trailer with the desert open world area and thought, "wow, that looks great,"?

How powerful is the switch 2? By some accounts not much above a PS4, by the most optimistic accounts not far off the Series S, which has been causing various third party issues for Microsoft for a couple years now. Donkey Kong had performance issues. I fear the Switch 2 is an underpowered console set to age poorly.

Though, just to be clear, I'll certainly be picking one up myself at some point.

This game is fantastic. It almost feels like a puzzle game - the puzzle being how to murder everyone on screen without getting murdered. Will certainly play this dlc.

Oh, a bit more filler for switch? Great...

Lego games have always been mediocre. Horizon is a mediocre series. The chances of the developer slapping two bland turds together and making a cake were always rather slim. I'm not really sure why anyone got excited for this, but each to their own.

A healthy state? Based on the release of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD next year? Good grief. The switch has had a handful of decent first party games, but the sheer volume of remasters/ports has been pretty staggering.

I'll probably get it at some point, but I wish they'd just left out all the fluff and nonsense in favour of more boards. I expect some players will enjoy all the extra stuff, though.

Also, the review barely mentions online features. It's a common problem with NLife reviews. I would've liked more information about the online options.

Does anyone know if we can play this with a mix of friends and randoms? Can I party up with my friend and matchmake for randoms?

These newspaper critics got to see the place relatively empty? And it seems as though they were still underwhelmed. Imagine the place the way the rest of us are sure to experience it; jam packed with all sorts of riff-raff. Just to be clear, I count myself among the riff raff. I live fairly close so will check it out, but I'm not optimistic.

@RadzPrower Haven't played it yet, and that's disappointing to hear. Would be really interested to know which Zelda games have the best dungeons, in your view.

Totk and botw have some of the worst dungeons I've ever played. I think a good Zelda dungeon, among other things, should feel like one large puzzle, as opposed to simply a series of distinct, small puzzle rooms. Oot, TP, and Link Between Worlds all captured this well, in my opinion.

@BTB20 ah yes! I believe I did watch the reveal trailer,. It was in a direct a while back? The two classic boards bit was what made me think that those two should've been dlc for the previous game, and may even have been intended as such at some point. I think they ought to have been, personally.

I felt as though the previous two games weren't good value for money, especially in terms of number of boards. I honestly expected the last game to receive one or two boards as free DLC. Does this game also include classic boards? I think I read that it does, and my immediate thought was that those boards might perhaps have been intended as DLC. Pure speculation, of course. Here we are with yet another new game, only 5 boards? I'll likely buy it, but I wish we all wouldn't for one iteration, so that perhaps we might get a better game in future.

@burninmylight I hear you, I just haven't seen enough evidence to label the fella all the ...-ists under the sun. If I knew that he was any of them, I wouldn't defend him. I'm just inclined to give someone the benefit of the doubt when we're talking about some dumb posts online from 2018, particularly when the poster has expressed regret.

It was my intention to dismiss the claims of misogyny and ableism but, for the sake of brevity, I shortened the quote. I think they're all equally baseless.

As for "the community he attracts," is it fair to hold him accountable for things other people have said? I don't think it is.

I don't know him personally, I just don't think it's fair to make the claims you're making based on a few random discord posts from 2018. They're asinine, certainly, but all fairly tepid and the developer himself has said he regrets them.

The game seems fun. I just plan on enjoying it.

@burninmylight I read the comments, all of them - definitely some pretty lame, infantile attempts at online humour, but to label him a "racist POS" forever is pretty unfair, in my opinion. You literally don't know the guy at all.

@yohn777 I believe he was saying that he was sure this would come to Switch eventually, and he felt similarly about death's door and tunic.

Judging by the online service and features Nintendo have offered until now, they desperately need "more talent." Though such people likely can't alter crappy decisions being made by people above their pay grade.

I thought there were a couple nice moments, am personally really excited to spend more time in Eastward's world. Happy for people that want to play TTYD again with slightly better graphics.

Overall I thought it was dreadful. I was out of the room when the f-zero music hit and got crazy excited, only to see a crappy spin on a 30 year old game. That's basically par for the course for Nintendo, though, isn't it? Why not make an awesome new modern f-zero with loads of players online? Perhaps they will, we'll see in the coming years, but there was precious little to get excited about in this direct for me. It made me glad I've got a series x.

I've never really played a jrpg before but I absolutely love this game! Simply had to pick up The Messenger, too, to play after. These guys are awesome, so happy to see them having such success.

TotK is probably the most overrated game of the year, for me. Though I did have some fun I was ultimately very disappointed with it. This, on the other hand, looks like DOS2 on steroids. I can't wait to play it.

No online co op is a massive let down, in my opinion.

An utter rip off. Not sure the prices of these games can be justified.

For a physical copy. Those are scarce for a reason - supply is limited and people want them and that is enough to explain the price, which I certainly wouldn't pay myself but people like to collect things, especially when those things are scarce and more power to them. £25 is not a steal for digital versions of 20 year old games. If you and others can't be persuaded otherwise then we deserve everything we get, good and hard, as they say.

Gosh, I would honestly go so far as to say that this direct was embarrassing when compared to the recent Xbox showcase.

@UltimateOtaku91 I hear you friend, distinct lack of square enix on Xbox for sure, but couple persona games included with game pass? Not to mention all the other stuff that looked great. Honestly would love to be more excited for switch right now but for me personally they've hit a dead end.

£25 for pikmin 2!? Are they absolutely insane? No wonder we never got gamecube games on the online service; they think they can charge us all £25 a pop for one. I must say, Nintendo have been pretty dreary of late.
