Perhaps the recent decision by Nintendo to not include the prices was taken in the hope that people would go to the eshop to check, which might make impulse purchases more likely. It’s pretty lame, whatever the reason.
Classic Activision - ensure games are a bit unnecessarily grindy and less fun than they could have been, add microtransactions after release in order to avoid negative press.
What a woeful state of affairs. @SlyPlayr09 I don’t mean to be rude or single you out, friend, but that sort of attitude is making gaming worse for us all.
There was a time when cool unlockables were all unlocked in-game, and unlocking them was designed to be fun.
Just got the game, played the first one a lot, not massively into creating my own courses but got this one specifically for the online elements. Fired it up, super excited, and it’s a laggy mess seemingly 50% of the time. Googled it, found numerous articles complaining about the same thing. Hard to get excited about 2 million courses when the online is often utterly unplayable.
Did I miss the NL article about this sorry state of affairs? How on earth did the game get a 10 when such a key selling point is currently so bad?
This really caught my attention, partly because it was one of the few ‘new’ announcements and partly because it reminds me a little of Gangsters 2. Looking forward to it.
Loved both games so far and this looks fantastic, I’ve no doubt it will be with Next Level Games at the helm. They deserve some good tidings after the Federation Force fiasco.
This is inexcusable and seems, to me, like a fairly blatant attempt to con a few Switch owners. A gracious article - a little too kind perhaps. Though I think the article tells us what we need to know.
I saw the movie. I really enjoyed it. Not sure why I’m sharing that here on this article, no doubt a more appropriate article will appear at a later date. I guess I just can’t wait to tell the world.
They’re expecting well over 2.5 billion dollars in revenue and they still destroyed Red Dead Online with pay to win micro transactions. These people are shameless.
Just upgraded from Splatoon 1 a couple weeks ago. Is appallingly difficult to play this game on the same team as your friends. First, get to level 10 to unlock ranked mode. Play ranked with your friends like in Splatoon? No. Get to rank B- in one of the ranked modes, which all rank up individually now - obviously the rotation means it takes longer to rank up. Only once you’ve jumped through all those hoops can you use the option to play online on the same team as your friends, this option is now called league battle, an option that exists in the game that you’ve paid £50 for but which you aren’t allowed to use until you’ve spent however long playing the game. It’s immensely frustrating and has taken the joy out of ranked mode for me, for the time being - I’m just grinding it so I can play with my friends.
I feel as though Nintendo has absolutely no respect for our time
Glad to see plenty of people complaining; enough people complaining in ways that Nintendo notice could be the only thing that improves this woeful service.
Is it just me or was there someone rummaging around off camera during that video? I could hear various bumping sounds, as if furniture was being moved around. Perhaps they’re packing up and feeling the country.
@IHateTombs I still enjoyed pikmin 3, but the hand-eye disconnect with Skyward sword was just too jarring, and even impacted gameplay at times for me. Fingers crossed motion controls will at least be optional, my left-handed brother! I’d love to be able to play it.
What concerns me is whether or not these ‘lite’ mechanics will make it into next year’s game. Many seem to assume they won’t when they say “don’t worry, stop moaning, next year’s game is coming.” Have read many examples of that above.
This is being called a mainline game, and many people simply aren’t happy with the direction the mainline series has been taken with this game.

Re: The Touryst Will Bring Blocky Adventure To The Switch Soon
This looks fantastic, and with shin’en at the helm it’s probably a pretty safe bet. Highlight of the direct for me.

Re: A Rewind Feature And Two NES Games Are Coming To Nintendo Switch Online This Month

@Edu23XWiiU it’s really not cool, unfortunately
Re: Dead By Daylight Slashes Its Way Onto The Switch This September
Got this on psplus last year, had so much fun with it, it’s a great game. Can take a while to fill lobbies though, even on PS4.

Re: Video: SteamWorld Quest's Launch Trailer Has Us Hyped For Its Release This Week
Haven’t played a game with a card battle system before, but have a lot of faith in Image & Form. Will almost certainly get this soon.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Wins Famitsu Game Of The Year Award
Fantastic game, though I wish there were fewer cretins online.
Edit: Kirby a better character than Arthur Morgan in 2018? That’s madness, surely.

That Gollum art is pretty fantastic

Re: Rune Factory 4 Special And Rune Factory 5 Are Both On The Way To Switch
Absolutely fantastic news, someone on here assured me it was coming. I can’t remember who it was but I doubted them, very happy to have been wrong.
Edit: @Braden - I think it was you! Well done, friend.

@CurryPowderKeg79 that would be a poor choice, as much of the lotr effects were done with makeup and prosthetics with a few exceptions. 😜

A few interesting looking games. What on earth was wrong with that narrator, though?
Re: Review: Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes - A Stylish Return For The Otaku Hitman
@PrincessBowsette oh I see, an interesting choice. Is there any way to buy the game without?
Re: Review: Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes - A Stylish Return For The Otaku Hitman
This game seems obscenely overpriced, to me, and that’s before even considering all the dlc they’re hoping fans of the series will pay for.
Re: Review: Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition - Bursting At The Seams With Musou Goodness
@XenoShaun the post in which you answered about half a dozen people’s different questions was awesome 😂

@TossedLlama where else would you poop? 😂
Re: Masahiro Sakurai Rules Out A Modern Port Of Kid Icarus: Uprising
@TossedLlama no need for sorry, though I could’ve done without ‘ports’ being written three times 😂
Re: Masahiro Sakurai Rules Out A Modern Port Of Kid Icarus: Uprising
Absolutely loved the online multiplayer.
