@itemcollector I get what you mean, but I do love DKC2. I always will favor the first one for what it was and did back in the day. but DKC 2 is a very good sequel that upped the ante a lot in terms of challange and level variety. Sure some were gimmicky but never was a gimmick repeated or annoying, like the reversed controls in DKC3. Adding a currency was in no way needed for me but the DK coins were fun to collect but I think DKC3 handled those better as they added a bit more challenge to it.
It is hard to argue for me that DKC2 and 3 are bad games in any way shape or form but as they are they did stand on the shoulders of the original.
@LikelySatan Either copyright or marketability or money laundry pyramid schemes or maybe it heralds the downfall of modern civilization as foretold in the profocies of the manosphere!!!
And yeah that tape was a lapse of judgement in a time where I was not a good version of myself, but I tried to make amends.
It's always a bit a silly, no it does not effect the gameplay but there is also no real reason to remove them. So why do it? Well, we all know the answer to that one don't we ?
@Arkay 2D art can take more time to animate properly and is not always cheaper to make. I think the price needs to reflect the work put into the game and the value it brings to the consumer be it in lenght or replayability and future support.
If they make a sequel I hope they go for a different art design for the levels, too many wet looking caves. The castle portions are awesome and the gameplay is just as an Igavania should be.
@NicolausCamp It is amazing how they made a cool ninja game in 2D. I still wish Klei would publish both Shank games as a bundle on Switch. those games are brutal and really fun.
The contra collection goes on sale for €4.99 quite often this collection includes a lot more quality contra experience for less money.
Kind of a weird choice imo...
Sunset Riders is a lot more worth your time if you wanna spend money on an arcade game by Konami.
8 euro the price of a lifestyle magazine or a Donald Duck, prepacked sandwich and a small bottle of your favorite drink. or a six pack of beer and big bag of chips.
It's not that much money but if it's worth it for you? who knows...
@BabyYoda71 why? you can easily move data from one SD card to another. Or just swap em like they were games.
I hope they will be released seperatly because I only want Arkham City. I think these will be the UE4 revisions that they made later on. Atleast the physX effects will be intact cuz of the Nvidia Hardware.
@WaveBoy Duke Nukem world tour is fun because it is portable DN3D, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Seeds of Evil are great remasters and they cut their teeth on em. But Nightdive really outdid themselves with Quake, Powerslave and Shadow man.
I have no fear the Quake II remaster will do the original justice and then some.
@NESlover85 It was really good but some plots dwindled and had sloppy resolutions, there was too much cursing for my taste. Not that I hate cursing but it seemed forced in this show.
Then again it was a strong adaptation of the NES classic Castlevania 3 I hope this new show will have bit more decorum, covers Rondo of blood and sets up a show for Symphony of the night.
There is one collection missing and that is the Blizzard Arcade Collection. The games on there are all gems and after the release they added Lost Vikings 2 and the prequel to Rock 'n Roll racing. Kind of a shame that this is not on the list. They added licenced tracks to Rock 'n Roll racing multi-player support etc. I get the the Disney collection is not on there because it started out with only 2 games and their gb counterparts and had 2 more added with expensive dlc.
@HenryKibble It's a block on a chain shackled yo ones ankle to be a burden.
Honestly idk( I looked it up and I still don't know, like, I know what it is but I have no way of using this knowledge other then to be slightly less oblivious about the subject)
@RareFan Sonic releases are like playing sonic itself most of the time, one moment you have fun zooming trough well crafted levels with great music and design and the next moment you try not to drown, jumping slow moving platforms while spikes pop out the wall to knock you off.
@Cheez The writing might be different, most RPG's had character limits in their text boxes. that really hampered western translations compared Japanese.
Also it seems the cutscenes are more dynamic with camera angles and more animation.
Maybe some areas got a bit more detail as the game is no longer restriced by the SNES tile based graphics

Re: 'Thunder Ray' Looks Like The Perfect Spiritual Successor To Punch-Out
Reminds me of that GBA game Wade Hixton's Counter Punch.
If you ever get a chance to pick that one up, it's pretty fun.
Redneck Punchout.

Re: Dark Magics Are Afoot As Trine 5 Gets A Switch Release Date
@Thomystic I doubt most gamers care as much about 'representation' as the game media thinks they do.
Trine scratches that Lost Vikings itch and is a blast to play with my friends.
Re: Poll: Final Fantasy IV - Do You Prefer The Original Or The DS Remake?

Re: Super Mario Bros. Movie Streaming On Peacock This August (US)
@Sunsy I do enjoy some WWE from time to time.
Though most of my favorites were from when it was still called WWF.

@Sunsy That is an interesting combination, WWE and Trolls.

Re: Nintendo Has Apparently Retired Its Gulf War Game Boy
@nintendr0ne That's a bold claim to make...
Considering the all the scammy warmongering the CIA under the American flag has done since WW2.
Re: Ubisoft Game Designer And Creative Director Emile Morel Has Passed Away
as someone who is close to 40, and loves Rayman Origins/Legends this kinda hits hard.
Re: Nintendo Has Apparently Retired Its Gulf War Game Boy
@Shadowmoon522 Idk never had an issue still using my one and only 3DS new 3DS and DSlite I bought years ago
Re: Nintendo Has Apparently Retired Its Gulf War Game Boy
@Moistnado Switch Oled and Lite feel pretty solid to me.

Re: Review: Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective - A DS All-Timer Returns In Stunning Form
@Mattock1987 It's a point and click adventure what else should it do more than pointing and clicking.
The game's ghost puzzles are what makes this game what it is to call it a con is like saying playing as Mario in a Mario game is a downside.
Re: Video: Super Mario RPG Side-By-Side Graphics Comparison (Switch & SNES)
@Switch_Pro Super star saga had really cool cartoony spritework but they went and made it more like Dream team and not everybody liked that art style.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Super Mario RPG On Switch
@CammyUnofficial I'd glady get Miyamoto a drink.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Super Mario RPG On Switch
@Dom_31 It's a homage to the original Japanese cover, although that one had Yoshi who was not a party member.
