Isn't that the same release date as Fantasy Life i? This means for me that I'll have the time to wait for a discount for Sky Oceans. Wouldn't be surprised if more people share that thought.
@thehoppypoppy Yes! Omitting Orville really has me think they will go for an AC minifigure set at a later time. That's a great way to add missing favorites from the game, it seems like an easy way to profits for LEGO.
I'm mostly playing Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess through GamePass. Visually, I don't understand why this game is not also on Switch. Capcom, get on it!
On Switch I've decided to give Rain Code another try after dropping it last summer. Let's see if I get into it this time around. Happy Gaming!
It took me a week but I'm now also fully infected with the Metroid virus, and am playing Metroid Prime on the Switch. I just finished the first big boss of the game last night ane now the waters of the Chozo Ruins run clean again.
Happy gaming everyone!
This looks solid, I'm going to carefully look forward to its release. Of course an actual Skies of Arcadia remaster would be most welcome still indeed.
The reason for said discrepancy in my opinion is that Engage just really dropped the ball on narrative, character design and world. Three Houses felt real in the sense that it was sat in a greater world and there is so much lore about other countries, peoples and continents that we don't know about, yet Engage's "continent" feels gimmicky and isolated.
I would play a new game in the world of Three Houses immediately. It was anime, but its characters and issues also felt gritty, harsh and relatable in some sense. Engage wasn't just a clownshow it was the whole damn circus.
I hope to finish Another Code R so I can exchange it for Paper Mario TTYD at my local game store. I am very close to beating the second game, so I'm confident I will get it done.
My take on another Code R is just that while it's mostly entertaining, its story and its revelations are a tad too simple or predictable and the puzzles too few and far in between for my liking.
@JokerCK Thanks for this extremely refreshing take, we're not reaching at all here. You are probably the pinnacle of good journalism.
All jokes aside, I really hope the new season(s) are going to be solid and worth it. I liked what they were doing so far, but so much of my enjoyment could be attributed to Cavill's work. Guess we'll just have to wait and see
@AstroTheGamosian Yes, I whole-heartedly agree with all the things you've mentioned. A prequel where we explore Tachy's arc is also a great idea and combine that with Raven as a second playable character and I think you'd have enough freshness to tinker with.
More biomes to explore, Mother Sphere to defeat, humanity to restore and a history to figure out are all things I would love to see in a sequel (or, if the gaming gods are generous, sequels).
I started a New Game + today and I was very pleasantly surprised with all the collectables and progress they let you keep. It makes beating it on hard mode and trying for the totally different ending a lot more enjoyable imo.
I finished Stellar Blade on PS5 this week. Amazing game btw, I hugely recommend playing it. But now it's time to head back to the Switch for Unicorn Overlord and Apollo Justice. Looking forward to it. Happy gaming everyone!
I am very excited to play this game finally! I have only come to own a Gamecube a few years ago and while I managed to track down some expensive boxed copies of the likes of Fire Emblem, I have always thought the price of The Thousand Year Door really was too high. Reading all these genuine positive reactions make me want to play it even more. Can't wait to just be cozied up on the couch with my OLED and this game in handheld mode
Ah, I was really looking forward to it and was going to go for the Switch (handheld mode) version. Now, I'm not sure. I might play it through GamePass instead. It does save me some money.
I'm very excited for this and I have pre-ordered a physical copy. Although, I'm still knees deep into Unicorn Overlord so I'll have to see how quickly I get to it.
This weekend I'll spend most of my time finishing my thesis, but hope to pour some time into Unicorn Overlord on Switch or FF Rebirth on PS5 to wind down. I'm at the third region and chapter 11 respectively. Happy gaming everyone!
Thanks for the recommendation, I just purchased Gato Roboto from my phone with only my gold points. I'll have a nice little surprise waiting for me when I get home.
This weekend I'll be spending most of my time alternating between preparing and having an Easter brunch with family and gaming; playing FF Rebirth or Unicorn Overlord. I'll be diving into Chapter 9 of FF VII Rebirth and going to the second region in UO. I'm still very much enjoying both of tbese games and I slowly start to wonder if any game this year will be able to top these. Good times. Happy gaming everyone!
I have to find a way to divide my time playing FF Rebirth, Dragon's Dogma, Unicorn Overlord, Persona 5 and Princess Peach Showtime. This will be a weekend full of tough choices, nevertheless a good one. Happy gaming everyone!
Covers with outdated polygon models just don't do it for me. I love the much more timeless cover of the Japanese version. Choosing pencil art is just straight up genius for this type of game.
@imadeanaccount Just like others have mentioned, the story is not bad. It's just not something we've never seen before; your typical good vs evil story. But the gorgeous style, strategic depth and charming characters really bring this game home for me. I'm sure reviews would have been way less positive if the story was bad in any way.
I am having so much fun with this game! Unicorn Overlord is a great fit for my Switch OLED. The colors and the 2D drawings really pop out, it's stunningly gorgeous to look at. It deserves to be a big hit for Atlus/Vanillaware. I hope it continues to sell well.
I am so happy to finally be able to say I will be playing Unicorn Overlord this weekend! As a strategy RPG fan, this game has it all for me!
Elsewhere I'll be diving into Chapter 5 of FF VII Rebirth. Another great game! 2024 is shaping up to be absolutely amazing.
Happy gaming everyone!
My playthrough of the third semester in Persona 5 Royal will have to be put on hold this weekend, because my time will be claimed exclusively by a certain new Fantastical game. Happy Buster Sword swinging and gaming everyone!
@Dark_Isatari I agree! The demo actually got rid of all the doubt I had. The level depth, beauty and charisma surprised me so much, in a good way. It's going to be my first Vanillaware game so I reallywanted to try the demo. Happy I did
This weekend I'll be dividing my time between multiple outstanding games. With friends I'll be continuing the online blast that is Helldivers 2 on PS5. On Switch I finished the demo for Unicorn Overload and that left me super impressed. Other than that I will continue to play Another Code and Pocket Card Jockey on Switch. Happy gaming everyone!
I'm nearing the end of the Persona 5 base game, I'm at the point where I can send the calling card for the final palace. But, if all is well, I should be all set to unlock the 3rd semester and havea bit more playtime with P5 Royal. So, that's exactly what I'll be focussing on this weekend. Elsewhere, Helldivers 2 has got me hooked. So, whenever the squad is online you'll be able to find me there. Happy gaming everyone!
I will be playing more Persona 5 this weekend as well as some Mario Wonder. Me and a friend have been playing that game solely co-op, so it's taking us a while to finish it.
My first impression is also a bit meh. The artstyle feels bland and devoid of personality for me. Unless it'll receive stellar reviews, it's a pass for me.
Whenever I'm not studying this weekend, I'll be playing AA: Apollo Justice or Persona 5R on the Switch. Elsewhere, Shadow Tactics have launched on PS Plus Extra and I've been having a lot of fun with the top down tactical game! There are so many creative ideas tucked away in that title. I think it would be a great fit for the Switch actually. Anyways, happy gaming everyone!
I am actually looking forward to this one. The demo has pushed me over the edge and now I feel like I NEED the play this. 100% in the mood to play a cozy puzzle game. I have pre-ordered Apollo Justice, so it will get some stiff competition for my time.
I will spend every gaming minute playing Persona 5. I want to finish it before 3 Reloaded releases. I am now on my way to the 4th palace. Man, this game is a time sink, but a lovely one at that. Happy gaming everyone!
Besides helping my best friend move, who just went through an emotional break-up and had to find a new place to live (plus side, we now live in the same city), I'm planning to keep chipping away at Persona 5. It would be great if I could find the 3rd target and get the Palace started before the weekend's up.
The American boxart is unnecessarily violent and out of place for what the game actually is. The Japanese boxart tells you exactly what the game is about including who's in it.

Not a bad showcase it all! I am most interested in Minami Lane and Discounty. Hope they launch sooner rather than later.
