@dskatter If all games that doesn't exceed 64gb would have come full on card I would have bought at least 10 games already... right now I have three... On switch 1 I have about 300 physical games... I'm pretty sure on switch 2 it's going to be far far less
only if you don't care about game key cards... but if you have an issue with game key cards like me, than third party support is a nightmare... worse than on wii u...
not that I want it but I wonder what would happen if nintendo would make a new proper mario kart game, puts it on every system + smart phones and makes it free 2 play + fortnite like games as a service model.
I would hate it but I wonder how much money it would make...
This is actually a part of AI where I have less problems with. QA is extremely expensive and it doesn't need any creativity.
But I actually doubt that it works well. So far Ai is in almost all cases a disappointment.
@JohnnyMind haha as long as they not going to buy that one porting studio that killed panzer dragoon, front mission and made a pretty mediocre DKC Returns port, everything is fine with me
@Max_the_German I experienced the opposite. Many people in my surroundings (most of them are game developers) who in the beginning where big fans of AI are now going to back to manual work. When it comes to code, most of it is not usable and needs to be adjusted which most of the time takes more time than writing the code themselfs. With image creation it's even worse... So far for game development AI is not worth it.
Also the Chat GPT didn't get much better in the last two years... only details got better but it's still have the same fundamental issues and those come from how LLMs work. If you read a bit about the topic you will see it won't get much better with the systems they currently use.
@electrolite77 But too much competition can be. Look at the indie space right now. Just too many good games and the amount of money that gets spend on indies is limited. Which means many great games won't make their cost back. Which also means developers will play save and that some games/genres won't be made anymore.
It's like watching a good movie to see how Microsoft is destroying Xbox systematically in the recent years... They earned so much good will from gamers after the first Xbox and the 360 but what they do now is just laughable...
I did a lot of analysis of heart gold and soul silver and it's not only the best pokemon game it's one of the best RPGs ever made thanks to it's brilliant progression layer design.
@Dazman It's 99,9 % not Pokopia. Pokopia is from a totally different developer and has very different mechanics. They won't reskin this game, it has already quite polished graphics and it would be a phenomenal waste of energy, time and money to hide a game that doesn't need to be hidden, with a different looking game just to test the online multiplayer.
I think the game has some major flaws that I don't know how nintendo will fix them. when you build a structure, lets say a tower, it's possible that you, by accident, take out a core piece and the whole tower colapses. This happens quite often actually.
I buy a lot of games but it slowed down this year a bit. this is mainly due to the high prices of switch 2 games and game key cards... especially the key carda ruined the hobby for me a little
ai is ruining the internet right now, I wish someone would do something about it. image search and all social media is full of slop... at a certain point social media just dies because real creators just don't get enough visibility anymore
I played the game for some minutes and I totally get why nintendo didn't make a big thing out of it. It's just very bad and has everything why I hate mobile games...
I'm a huge fan of the original FF7 and I don't like the remake. I think as a game it is solid (not excellent) but it's just not a remake of Final Fantasy 7. If they would have called it FF7 Reimagination or Reboot, it would make much more sense. A real remake of the original is essentially dead now and has almost zero chance to ever come out.
@Yobreeze hmm weird I still play my old game boy games from the early 90s and they all work... even my old nes ducktales card still works... all my 20-30 snes games all work fine. Sure I had to replace the battery of some of them but thats it.
@nintendo life please stop spreading that narrative that the switch 2 cartridges are too slow. FF7 Remake, and yes even Rebirth, runs on a much much slower HDD on pc and the game works great.
Sure the cards are slower than internal storage but that is not a big issue.
I don't know what it is but somehow I can see when a game was made in china and something about their art or animation puts me off (not all of the chinese games but many). And something about this games turns me off
@Jedrus_Lilac but there are solutions for this. they could make slower more effortable cards that require you to install a part of the cards data to the system.
Thats how many pc games worked too back in the days.
Another solution is to make just slower cards for games that need not that much speed, like almost all indie games.
I think no one has a problem if a game is 80gb and comes on a key card.
sorry but this is BS... if nintendo wouldn't want to make more money why did they raise prices on almost everything? Sure for the industry the key card sounds awesome but for the consumer it's just bad. The big publishers who anyways already have the methods to squeeze out everything benefit the most of key cards... those don't need help.
