Re: Talking Point: Do You Want To See Colourful Cartridges Return For 'Switch 2'?

@nocdaes to be fully honest I think physical video games are not the issue that solves global warming. I'm pretty sure for every SUV car that drives a year you produce more wast than with 100s of switch game boxes... and for some reason people still need those big cars even they live in the city... just one example... if you want i can give you dozens more like having a new phone every 1-2 years etc...

Re: Soapbox: It's Time For A Zelda 1 Remake, Please

ok my first thought was "yeah ofc we need a remake" but then I thought a bit more. if you improve the graphic too much the fantasy doesn't work anymore. it worked on NES because it was so heavily stylized that your brain interpolated the missing information.
So you would need to remake in a big way which would essentially be a new game then.

a possible way would be to still have rather stylized pixel art but add a lot of quality of life improvements.

Re: Sega Plans To Revive Even "More" Legacy Franchises

the last time I was so excited for sega was during the dreamcast era.

If they reboot Phantasy Star online properly I would buy any console to play it. And I mean not that Phantasy Star Universe nonsense, that went in the completely wrong direction

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Donkey Kong

I love box art brawl. I myself work as a graphics guy and it happens so often that I think "man this is so clear they will all pick option XYZ" and then it's something very different. It's like A B testing, super interesting whats appealing and whats not.

I also wonder how much of it is biased because of everyone's own memories.

Re: Pokémon GO Introduces Brand New Multiplayer Feature 'Party Play'

@SakuraHaruka I think they miss balanced the game already in a way, that going outside for a walk to play it is already too much work. I mean I live in a big City (as most people do) and If I go out there are just so many pokemon and stops and things I need to do, I think it loses a bit of its initial purpose to just gamify going for a walk. Now I can't enjoy my walk anymore because I'm bombarded with stuff to do...
It's not the only thing they ruined in my opinion over the last couple of years.

Re: Former Switch Player Magazine Maker Announces Premium Publication 'Ninsight'

@AndroidiOS I like print magazins but i think they have to have something that makes them special and i never had the feeling that the ninty fresh had something special. it was a solid magazin but it was not something i would learn new things.
print magazins need to fokus on more timeless content, like interviews, making of, retro and niche stuff.
reviews and previews and news are the worst content for print.
