I'm very honest here I like the steam world games because they are excellent. Do I like the Steam World universe? no, not a bit. I think it's boring and I prefer Steam World build to have a different IP attached to it.
@nocdaes to be fully honest I think physical video games are not the issue that solves global warming. I'm pretty sure for every SUV car that drives a year you produce more wast than with 100s of switch game boxes... and for some reason people still need those big cars even they live in the city... just one example... if you want i can give you dozens more like having a new phone every 1-2 years etc...
I'm happy about any cartridges as long as they games are fully on them. its going to get worse for sure than on the switch but it's likely going to be the last system where you can own your games...
SquareEnix has now two options. either the next entry is going to get more budget and with that a better tech and art direction or they realized they can sell cheap games since fans of monster collecting games don't care.
For me Paper Mario is like From Software games. They are fantastic if you play one rarely. I think the timing based battle system is just to nerve wrecking if too many games have it. And recently too many games had such a battle system.
if one comes before switch 2 release it won't have a lot of new Nintendo games and only c tear games (the new ones). everything big, even if its Crossplatform, is going to be shown at the switch 2 reveal
ok my first thought was "yeah ofc we need a remake" but then I thought a bit more. if you improve the graphic too much the fantasy doesn't work anymore. it worked on NES because it was so heavily stylized that your brain interpolated the missing information. So you would need to remake in a big way which would essentially be a new game then.
a possible way would be to still have rather stylized pixel art but add a lot of quality of life improvements.
@Thomystic They do not look like Rare veterans to be honest, they are far too young. My guess is that no one from the golden eye team is left at free radical. So why should they hire them?
the last time I was so excited for sega was during the dreamcast era.
If they reboot Phantasy Star online properly I would buy any console to play it. And I mean not that Phantasy Star Universe nonsense, that went in the completely wrong direction
I recently played sled storm on PS1 and man that aged well. then I played 1080 and man that agged like milk . But harvest moon 64 aged rather good. in general I think PS1 games aged better than N64
i really don't get why people are so obsessed by the idea that zelda is a playable character. not that i care much but i think it's a vocal minority and i think it shouldn't be a big factor in the design of the next Iteration of Zelda
i don't know, the game looks so bad and the demo also had a very bad reception... i think this article tries to make the game better than it actually is, i wonder if nintendo life gets money from SE for this...
I love box art brawl. I myself work as a graphics guy and it happens so often that I think "man this is so clear they will all pick option XYZ" and then it's something very different. It's like A B testing, super interesting whats appealing and whats not.
I also wonder how much of it is biased because of everyone's own memories.
Haha those executives just don't get it . only 1 out of 20 live service games do work all the others just cost hundreds of millions. Games like Fortnite are not reproduceable. Epic had a huge portion of luck with the game too. I wish them good luck, since I rarely buy games von WB anyways I will not miss a lot.
in my opinion mgs is done. kojima was mgs. they can make remakes but everything else is nothing i'm interested in. in a perfect world, capcom would buy castlevanoa, suikoden etc. and would just develop games in those franchises
@SakuraHaruka I think they miss balanced the game already in a way, that going outside for a walk to play it is already too much work. I mean I live in a big City (as most people do) and If I go out there are just so many pokemon and stops and things I need to do, I think it loses a bit of its initial purpose to just gamify going for a walk. Now I can't enjoy my walk anymore because I'm bombarded with stuff to do... It's not the only thing they ruined in my opinion over the last couple of years.
a feature that comes 3 years too late in my opinion. The game is dead, they killed it with to many features that makes no sense... instead of coming up with a solid battlesystem they now have several battlesystems in one game... this is just crap.
@AndroidiOS I like print magazins but i think they have to have something that makes them special and i never had the feeling that the ninty fresh had something special. it was a solid magazin but it was not something i would learn new things. print magazins need to fokus on more timeless content, like interviews, making of, retro and niche stuff. reviews and previews and news are the worst content for print.
i don't know man. i backed the ninty fresh several times and i want to give this a try but having a book full of outdated nintendo articles sounds not very appealing. I'm also not sure what the benefit is from having a book...

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Inazuma Eleven Strikers
it felt very difficult to pick the better one for me.
Re: Octopath Traveler Studio 'Acquire Corp.' Bought By FromSoftware Owner
bye bye Octopath 3...
Re: Talking Point: Do You Want To See Colourful Cartridges Return For 'Switch 2'?
@nocdaes
ah maybe this is a missunderstanding. I think your totally right on the code in a box thing. I thought you meant physicals cartridges.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Want To See Colourful Cartridges Return For 'Switch 2'?
@Buizel If I would be digital only I would need several 1tb sd cards since I have something between 200 and 300 physical games...
Re: Talking Point: Do You Want To See Colourful Cartridges Return For 'Switch 2'?

Re: Random: Square Enix & Foamstars Producer Is Bored Of Splatoon Comparisons
there is no single AA or AAA video game anymore without AI art used in at least a little bit of development
Re: Team Solo Is Splatoon 3's Holiday Splatfest Champion
makes a lot of sense. the alone ones have more time to play splatoon and thats why they are better

Re: When Will The First Nintendo Direct Of The Year Be? Let's Look To The Past
@Lizuka they want to have a zelda game every year so it's not unlikely that we get another port. any new zelda game I would expect on the next system.

Re: Nintendo Switch Was The Console With The Most Game Releases In 2023
@Nintendo_Thumb the NES was not even close to the Switch when it comes to shovelware
Re: Nintendo Switch Was The Console With The Most Game Releases In 2023
and with the most bad scam games that make it worse for the well crafted games to stand out.
Re: Square Enix To Be "Aggressive In Applying" AI Going Forwards
their games will just feel even more like products and even less like a work of art how it was when sakagutchi still was there

They do not look like Rare veterans to be honest, they are far too young. My guess is that no one from the golden eye team is left at free radical. So why should they hire them?
Re: TimeSplitters Dev Free Radical Has Shut Down As Staff Share "Last Day" Messages
looking at their age i think none of them must be from the original Time Splitters team.

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate That Nintendo Indie World Showcase?
@ZimmerRemmiz
I wonder how you come to that conclusion after that Indie direct?
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate That Nintendo Indie World Showcase?
I think they showed mostly high quality games, so the standard was higher than usual BUT not much for my personal taste .
Re: Video: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince - Gameplay Introduction
I just wish they would have spend more money on this game... it looks as rough as the pokemon games... what a pity
Re: Talking Point: If 'Switch 2' Is Backwards Compatible, What Will You Do With Your Switch?
it was always worth keeping old nintendo systems, be it the gbc, gba, ngc, ds , wii etc

It looked a bit rough when the presented it, I hope it gets the polish it deserves

oh common we have been so close to timesplitters 4 or at least a remastered trilogy... TS 2 and 3 need not much more than updated controls...

Re: Multiple Job Losses Expected At Team17 As It Splits With CEO Michael Pattison
@NatiaAdamo ah yeah they published this right? or is it really from team 17 developed?
They also published dredge, which I think was quite successful
Re: Multiple Job Losses Expected At Team17 As It Splits With CEO Michael Pattison
when was their last hit? quite a while ago... and they couldn't manage to bring worms to a new level for how long now? 20 years?
