Re: Successful Kickstarter 'Kero Quest 64' Could Come To The Switch Successor

@Not_Soos I think the main issue is that 99% of them are not good enough.
This one looks too unpolished... also there is nothing more ugly than an upscaled n64 game. in their situation i would have kept the resolution down and add more things, that look like n64 but havn't been possible on tha actual machine (like more moving grass etc).

Re: Final Fantasy Team Wants To Hear Your Thoughts About The Series

@somnambulance may I ask how old you are?
I just can't believe that someone who played 6,7,8,9 and 10 could some how believe that the modern games are better. I could make a long list why they aren't.
that being said I don't want to ruin your fun with it, it's great that you like those games.

@FantasiaWHT
I'm not completely against AI stuff but especially AI art is theft and because of that your comparison to the past is just not fitting.
You can use AI as a tool and that's great and will benefit humanity (hopefully) but video games are an art form and with that part of our culture. Robots cannot create culture and shouldn't create culture.
When Youtubers use AI art I have no problem with it, it's normally not a work of art.

Re: Surprise Leak Reveals Lenovo Is Releasing Another Switch-Like Gaming Handheld

@dugan
hey thank you.
I would say a core gamer is a gamer who actively seeks out for information about different games on a regular basis.
So everyone who reads websites like this regularly, is a core gamer for me.
But I also think that those groups are not homogeneous. In the core gamer segment you have people who do play Mario Games but other might only play high complex simulation games like Rimworld.

Re: Surprise Leak Reveals Lenovo Is Releasing Another Switch-Like Gaming Handheld

jojobar

@VoidofLight that is just half the truth.
there is no casual audience anymore playing outside of their smart phone.
some years ago you could have sayed there is a core, mainstream and casual audience but even that is not accurate anymore.

on switch you just have mainstream, core and something between mainstream and casual.

just to make sure, mainstream audience are people who mainly play games like fortnite, fifa, call of duty, minecraft etc.
those gamers are the biggest part on all systems and those gamers do not care if the latest pokemon sucks, they still buy it and they have fun with it even though it looks and plays bad.

oh and those mainstream gamers would never buy a lenovo handheld because they can play their games more easy and cheaper on a switch or a ps5

Re: Dbrand Seems To Have Shared Images Of Switch 2 Inside Its New Case

haha all those third party companies laugh about how easy it is to get free Advertisement on the biggest Nintendo website. just make a fake mockup and tell everyone it's the real thing. why should those companies have information like this so long before the actual thing is coming out? it makes no sense

Re: Review: Mario & Luigi: Brothership (Switch) - Easily The Best Mario & Luigi RPG Yet

jojobar

@Nickakyoin
I don't have the game yet. it's in delivery.

That being said, I listen to IGNs Nintendo Voice Chat podcast regularly and I can say Logan (the reviewer) has usually a pretty good taste, so I think his review might have some points.

Also if you watched the Nintendo Life review on youtube you will see that Alex also didn't like the game a lot.

The thing is the last Mario & Luigi games had all a lot of issues with NPCs talking too much, with generic worlds etc... and it seems like it's the case here too.

Re: Ubisoft's Disastrous 2024 May Lead To The Company Going Private

jojobar

@Tobiaku I'm not pro Ubisoft and I see myself very centered in political things but man I consider 99% of the mob hating ubisoft for AC Shadows to be exactly toxic gamer talk. I really don't understand why people do not accept that Assassin's Creed is fiction and not reality and fictions comes with some artistic freedom. You don't have to like it and you don't have to buy it.

Re: Ubisoft's Disastrous 2024 May Lead To The Company Going Private

uibsoft games just too often feel like products and not like a piece of art. very formulaic design in almost all their games. thats also the reason I stopper playing mario + rabbids 2.
just compare those games with stuff like beyond good and evil, prince of persia (ps2 gen) or splinter cell 3. all those games are master pieces... and all of them came without weird preorder bonuses, Microtransactions, bugs, online instalation and they are fully on the disc.
