Holy Moly! this is awesome... I'm still waiting for the Time Splitters Remasters from Embracer but this is awesome too. I hope we will see all the legacy of kain games remastered.
@batmanbud2 I guarantee you they are going to shut down Splatoon 3 servers one day. Then Splatoon 3 is dead, I will never go back to play the singleplayer in Splatoon Games. They are not bad but also not good enough to stand out.
I liked the first one, it had a great positive atmosphere. The second one looks like the first one just more refined which is a great thing, and coop also sounds great to my ears.
@Zeebor15 but the reason for that is the indie world team at NoA. they pick those always the same games ander other cool games come into the sizzle real or are not picked at all
Geoff keighlys show is always the same, i would not expect more and it's fine that Nintendo does their own thing. keighly shouldn't get more controle than what he has already
@MSaturn I highly doubt that those patches are on the cartridge. its actually quite impossible. maybe if they do a reprint later (i mean if they do at all).
sounds great, my only issue is that all those nice patches won't be on the physical version... i hope a little for a reprint later with all the patches applied
I expected more to be honest... I think so far only the ?-block set is great from all the lego nintendo sets... Animal crossing was disappointing and the mario and donkey konf sets might be innovative but I dislike the figures and that the sets alwayw look modular
@Roam85 online multiplayer is very difficult to do. My guess is that this is not doable for a small studio that has not much experience in game developing.
i think the poor numbers of the last game had nothing to do with the strategy. the and the character writing was just super bad and the character design was very special too... Thats all. if they do better character design and writing, the numbers will be back on three houses level
This is always so fascinating. I'm working as a graphic artist for over 10 years now and sometimes I'm very sure people would pick a certain option and then it turns out it's exactly the opposite... I was sure people would pick the western version . Great A/B testing
@Jireland92 If something is a flop or not comes down to the expectation. Imagine Tears of the Kingdom would only have gotten a 82 on Metascore. It would be kinda of a flop. When it comes to sales it's the same, when an Indie sells 200k units its great, if Square Enix sells 200k units of Final Fantasy 7 rebirth, it's a flop. I expected (and pretty sure most Nintendo players) that Princess Peach, Another Code, Endless Ocean and Mario vs Donkey Kong are better games than what they are. We can argue now what a flop exactly is but I'm very very sure you understand my point exactly and I'm on the other hand not sure why you argue against it. The first party year is a big disappointment so far.
@Jireland92 Good for you. But still the game was pretty mediocre. The Metascore is at 74, this is far below what Nintendo usually targets... and that happened to alle their games so far this year... Another code: 73 Mario Vs Donkey Kong: 76 Endless Ocean: 66
and we are already about to com into the 5th month of the year... and except of two remasters, there is NOTHING on the horizon...
@Jireland92 I guess the sales have been ok, but if the game was better and it would have sold a lot more... Anyways I was more talking about the quality anyways an Peach was mediocre not great.
@Maubari You as a consumer do not have much of sales except of that the company can make more games and we don't have to worry in that regard... No I was talking about the quality of the games and they all disappointed in my opinion...
@sanderev for some companies that means, be more like fortnite... but for others this is will be just less expansive graphics, presentation etc... this can even be good for the games quality overall.
the more complex a game becomes (tech wise) the more difficult and expansive it is to make changes and adjustments that improves the gameplay.
I also could imagine we see more often the Dave the diver approach
I think 70 stays but I also think that development costs are going to sink a bit since those big AAA games are just to expansive for what they are.
we need a more healthy game development ecosystem for small and big companies (mainly for the smaller ones since the big once are making billions anyways with their live service crap)
@Kiyata there are game store who do excellent but they sell you an experience. game stop has to come up with a concept that makes buying there exciting. there will always be physical games even though it gets less. the same for music and film
i think i would like this a lot more if you just could unlock those items by unlocking them in their games. could be a good achievement replacement system. but just opening the game to get them is lame

Re: Splatoon 3 Physical Release Bundled With Expansion Pass DLC Announced
Wow thats what I call an ugly box art...
I'm totally into physical but Splatoon is anyway dead as soon as Nintendo cuts the online support...
Re: Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghana Switch Localisation Announced, Launching Early 2025
Faclom always announces their games too far in advance... Why do they announce a port already that much in advance...

it would be cool if metroid took the top spot .
anyways Zelda is great too
Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (Switch) - The Best Version, But Lacks Extras To Make It Essential
the negative points sound not like they justify an 8/10. sounds for me a lot more like an 9
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
I'm very surprised once again. I thought that everyone would vote for the japanese one
Re: Final Fantasy XIV Online Director Would Love To See Square Enix's MMO On A "Nintendo Platform"
there is really no good MMO RPG on switch and thats sad. I would also take a Guild Wars 2

Re: Video: 10 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In June 2024

Re: Poll: Is $60 Too Much For Nintendo's Switch Re-Releases?
games are too cheap anyways. it's the cheapest entertainment of all.
people complain about cheap prices but also complain that studios getting closed

it's so sad to see what star wars has become (except of andor ofc).
Re: Exclusive: Meet The Three Brothers Making Their Dream 'Secret Of Mana'-Inspired RPG
@Papasears1982 2D-HD is a lot more complicated to do. the game looks like they use RPG Maker which not even supports 3D as far as I know.
Re: Exclusive: Meet The Three Brothers Making Their Dream 'Secret Of Mana'-Inspired RPG
@Roam85
online multiplayer is very difficult to do. My guess is that this is not doable for a small studio that has not much experience in game developing.

even if they fix it, it won't be on the cartridge, which sucks. I prefer delaying the physical version and making it a finished version

@Nico85
Thats the reason I hate the comment section of websites. Here are all the nitpicky fans
Re: Review: Endless Ocean: Luminous (Switch) - A Meditative Marine Milieu, But Incredibly Shallow
@kevin74 Yes thats true but that is not a good excuse. the 3DS had in it's last month some great games (Metroid Samus Returns)

uff... not a good year for nintendo so far... most of their games flopped... from another code to this to princess peach...
Re: The First Review For Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Is In
hmm usually famitsu gives those sort of games good reviews, so I'm a bit cautious...
Re: Nintendo Has Confirmed It Won't Be At Gamescom This Year
sounds for me like they have nothing to show wich means second half of the year might look as dry as the first half...
Re: Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising Is The Next Nintendo Switch Online Free Game Trial (Europe)
this is nice and the first time i will use the free trail

for some reason i love the simplicity of the japanese cover
