Re: Nintendo's "Mysterious" Switch Online Playtest Program Gets Another Patent

@Dazman
It's 99,9 % not Pokopia.
Pokopia is from a totally different developer and has very different mechanics.
They won't reskin this game, it has already quite polished graphics and it would be a phenomenal waste of energy, time and money to hide a game that doesn't need to be hidden, with a different looking game just to test the online multiplayer.

Re: Nintendo Is "Acting To Protect The Industry" With Switch 2 Game Key Cards, Says Ex-Capcom Composer

@Jedrus_Lilac but there are solutions for this.
they could make slower more effortable cards that require you to install a part of the cards data to the system.

Thats how many pc games worked too back in the days.

Another solution is to make just slower cards for games that need not that much speed, like almost all indie games.

I think no one has a problem if a game is 80gb and comes on a key card.

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

jojobar

I think some of the games just haven't been on direct level.
Also Metroid got another trailer that was poorly edited...
It's just my personal taste but the upcoming games except of metroid do not appeal to me... some are ok, like fire emblem (which looks worse than engage but has the same poor character design) but there was too much switch 2 edition/port/another mario sports game stuff...
very uninspired.

Re: "I Can't Afford To Give It Away For Free" - Silksong's Low Price Is Causing Devs To Re-Evaluate Their Own Games

jojobar

@Duncanballs I think in general you are right. But I also think that topic is so much more complicated and complex than this.
I also think in case team cherry would have charged 25 or 30 people would have complained about it.

But for the games industry it's a huge problem that many people don't want to spend money for games anymore at all, they expect it to be free. they do not understand free 2 play games and they do not understand why free 2 play leads to worse games, less creativity and more mean psycho tricks.

It's not a good thing when people expect a low price for something that cannot be produced at that low price.

Re: Feature: What's It Like To Attend Gamescom 2025?

I love the gamescom but I would not go there for AAA games.
But you forgot to mention so many cool things there like cosplay village, the retro area, and the trading card arena and many other things that are more interesting than AAA games
