Re: Opinion: We Need More Couch Co-op RPGs

The option for Co-op is almost always better than not having the option at all. And in this day and age, they should offer both online and offline options. I remember playing FFVI with a friend as they had the option for a second player to control some of the party in battle.

Re: Nintendo Patents Filed After Palworld's Release Suggest Lawsuit Prep Started Months Ago

@ThatGuyWho The problem is the wording of these patents basically affects nearly any creature capturing game and someone them, creature games in general, especially when it comes to riding them. I love Nintendo games and their products, but I don't agree with this, especially with how broad these are. The USA rejected them already and now they have to amend them to get a chance to try again because of how broad they were.

Did you even read the replies? Now, granted, I need to use the "translate post option" but most of the criticisms were their use of being a small indie developer," while they are having Sony and Microsoft back them and how they were basically playing the victim, in others words, about how they worded this letter, not so much about Palworld and it being bad. Then many of the ones talking about them ripping them off were about designs, which this lawsuit is not even about. Then there is also a fairly large number that even supported the developers or telling people that nothing has been confirmed so not to jump to conclusions. I must have sifted through about 40 of the replies there, maybe you can read it natively to get a broader picture but from what I clicked through, It did not seem like the country was wishing them gone like you make it sound.

@Itachi2099 A few replies on social media typically mean nothing. If they did, then the earth would really be flat and truly doesn't exist. Looking at the replies with the tweet that they posted here, I translated like 20 random ones and not one really seemed to bash the game or company, one was even wishing pocketpair good luck against the lawsuit. With that said, I would be curious to see the number of sales for the game on PC compared to the rest of the world also.

Re: Poll: Are You Bothered By The Frame Rate For Paper Mario: TTYD On Switch?

@MSaturn

One of the reasons that people probably did not notice was A) Because of the TVs we had with those older systems, quality was not nearly as good as it is today and B) You were a lot younger and there was not much else to compare it to. I am not sure about you but I remember the N64 and PlayStation being quite different and more "jittery," Same when I played Star Fox for the SNES, it was quite obvious even though I was a teenager. With newer TVs, this is also something much easier to notice, especially when going from higher FPS to lower.

I can see some thing being slightly more annoying to do such as the counter action command as that was a lot more precise when you had to time the B button.

@BodkinDQ
But we had it at 60 FPS, and yes, there is action commands such as the counter which I can see possibly being affect slightly as the counter was very precise when to press and you did not get anything notifying you when to press it. Plus if memory serves me correctly, there were badges to make the action commands, including the counter command harder for a buff. You're also forgetting that games used to be 60 FPS, and a game like Paper Mario... really it should be. Especially when screens are getting better and better, the frame rates are getting much easier to notice than they did on your old flat screeds or CRTs.

It is not a deal breaker for me, I know I am still going to enjoy the game, probably as much as I did when I played the original but it is a disappointment that they decided to cut back on the frame rate.
