Re: Pokkén Tournament Punishes Players Who Rage Quit

I cannot wait to read the whining from people about how they "lost internet" and that Nintendo is being too harsh. lol

@1upGoomba

Get a more stable signal, even if it means hard wiring. Yes, you can argue that it still may go out but seriously, think about how often that happens. The last time I lost internet was during a storm and same for the time before that. Aside from storms, I cannot think when the last time it happened. So if I was playing and I didn't want to risk it, then I'd avoid the times where this is more likely to happen.

Re: Review: Mutant Mudds Super Challenge (Wii U eShop)

ikki5

@abbyhitter That's the first one where I saw it used (many of those that used it are banned now. lol)

Ha ha. That makes me laugh so much that you mentioned that. Though I guess I should have explained it betterr because I never meant to include the urban dictionary in those "two."

Re: The My Nintendo Rewards 'Missions' Show What's Needed to Earn Freebies and Discounts

ikki5

That moment when you look at a list for discounts and such and you have everything decent... lol

Though, it is kind of annoying how everything is digital games. Buy the good game to earn points for the good games you already bought. That's what usually annoyed me with the Club Nintendo digital download. I guess I was hoping for some physical rewards as well because I loved the figures and such.

But, at least there is other way to getting point as well so that kind of makes up for it.

Re: Video: Zordix Makes a Splash With Updated Aqua Moto Racing Utopia Footage

ikki5

@Kuhang Developers can only do what the Hardware will allow them. Yeah it sucks that they could only get like 20ish fps but regardless what they did, they would have gotten hell from Nintendo fans because it was either delay the game to the next Nintendo system and hope Nintendo actually puts some power in it or totally strip the game down to be able to run or just have it run like crap. Either way, Nintendo fans would have trashed them.

Re: Nintendo Seems To Be Deleting Super Mario Maker Levels Without Explanation Or Warning

ikki5

@Zyrac yeah, not sure. I've had two levels removed and no trouble re-uploading them. Unless there was some new policy since I re-uploaded mine since it was a few months ago since it happened. I should probably check to see if there has been new deletions. Part of me wonders if this is more a scheduled thing for the system to scan that fit a certain thing and then removes them and this one got unlucky. If that is the case then it does need to be adjusted.

Re: Nintendo Seems To Be Deleting Super Mario Maker Levels Without Explanation Or Warning

ikki5

my levels that were deleted were the ones with the lowest playthroughs... the non explanation ones are probably more due to inactivity. You can still easily re-upload them with the click of a button. Though i still have yet to experience one to be removed after an hour. If it was removed and not able to be uploaded again, it probably broke the rules... though the one that is in the video, not sure.

Re: Soapbox: It's too Early to Judge Paper Mario: Color Splash

ikki5

I'm sorry but the point of trailers are to judge a game and hopefully build up hype. If they don't want a game to be judged, they should never release a trailer.

However, for this, I don't think it is too early, we saw the combat, we know it is basically generic toads everywhere. There doesn't seem to be a partner and it is a card based system, similar to Sticker Star. That is enough to make me never want to buy. I'll still watch but I am not optimistic.

Re: Here's Why SNES VC Games Can Only be Played on a New 3DS

ikki5

@PtM

You guys had Club Nintendo going for months well after the NA one disappear along with restocks of items and digital titles. I'd take that over a piece of software you use 1 to 5 times in your lifespan.

@Einherjar

So you're going to defend laziness? That's pretty sad. over all, Nintendo themselves has hardly anything coming for both systems. The least they could do it put a small bit of extra work to optimize something.

Re: Poll: Did the Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Kickstart 2016?

ikki5

It did and it didn't. I tend to really care most about the Wii U and there wasn't really a whole lot and the direct seemed more 3DS heavy. It did however spark my interest back up for Star Fox. The Mario Maker update seemed nice as well and I look forward to that.

The biggest let down though was when I saw Paper Mario. I really hope it does not turn out to be similar to Sticker Star. I was quite excited when I saw it and then it kept on going and I just though "Oh no, Miyamoto is still there with it." Even more so when I looked at the Japanese trailer and saw coins only at the end of a battle and no exp and I knew it was probably going to be Sticker Star all over. So I probably won't be buying. I'll still keep my eye on it just in case they do change the direction more back to what Paper Mario used to be but I have my doubts. The other let down was the fact that to get the 3DS content of Hyrule Warriors, you need to buy an inferior version of the same game you already own. Really stupid move nintendo.

For the 3DS, it was really only Bravely Default so I will eagerly look at the demo and then the SNES games on the VC until... it said new 3DS only and I laughed because it was a joke. the original 3DS is more than capable of emulating SNES games and this is just Nintendo trying to make the New 3DS more appealing with little work.

Re: Konami and Capcom Are Bringing Some SNES Classics to New 3DS

ikki5

@TruenoGT not sure how garage you computer is but the snes games I have played through retro achievements' emulator, the have all run perfectly. It is usually a controller issue more than anything. The 3DS is more than capable of running snes games. Nintendo doing this is them just trying to get people to upgrade the lazy way without putting actual effort into it.

Re: Feature: The Big Nintendo Direct Summary - 3rd March

ikki5

So... We have Paper Mario... is that releasing before the Fall? If not, what justification does Nintendo have to not talk about Zelda U? Unless is really is not for just the Wii U... I guess the direct "focused" on Spring and Summer releases which could potentially mean a few things may not be in that window.

As for Paper Mario as a whole, I was genuinely getting a excited for it... until the trailer kept going and then left me concerned wondering if Miyamoto will ruin this one as well and take it down the same road as Sticker Star. I was really hoping to see a Paper Mario game that went back to the roots of what Paper Mario once was. There is a reason why only a small handful of people will call Super Paper Mario their favourite and even fewer for Sticker Star.

With Hyrule Warriors, it did kind of sadden me that the only way to get the 3DS Characters on the Wii U is to buy an inferior game that is the same as the Wii u one for the most part. At least they gave a free character though in the end but it is still disappoint that they went that route with the 3DS characters.

Though, this direct did get me looking in the Star Fox again and if the reviews and stuff looks good, I may go and pick it up.

is it also odd to be interested in the Mario and Sonic game? ha ha. I never cared for the Sochi one bought but this one seemed to actually have a bit more to it though, it will definitely not be a day one buy.

Re: Video: Snazzy New Trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Shows Off Visuals and Features

ikki5

@bobbypaycheque When was the last time you bought or even look at the price of Wii U games??? There are no games that are $79.99 alone. The only ones are Rodea - The Sky Soldier and that includes two games and then AC: Amiibo Festival which included 2 amiibo and some amiibo cards. In the US, the game and amiibo cost the same as a full price game release, Canada, it is an extra $10. Go to your local EBgames, Walmart, whatever and actually look at the prices. Maybe it'll open your eyes a little since you'll see what games actually cost as they range from $64.99 to $69.99.

And judging the graphics... I personally don't care how much they made them better. my whole point was does making them slightly better justify the price tag for something that took far less work to do. They didn't take everything and remodel them from scratch. All they did was pretty much upscale with a few tweaks. Something you see modders do on PC games within a matter of days to weeks of a games release.

Also, for Windwaker. I payed $50 CAD for the game and the statue. At the time, games were $65 CAD regular price. That's a $15 discount.

As for "people not having the same mind as me," sure, if you want to look at it that way. I guess I tend to look at things as the work actually done which kind of surprises me sometimes. Don't you find it odd that a game that takes 2-5 years to develop, manufacture and release will cost you $70 CAD while this game that took a few months with not overly a whole lot added costs $80 with the amiibo? The fact that less time and less work is needed with remasters, that is usually why they are cheaper in most cases.

Re: Feature: What We Expect from Nintendo Direct - 3rd March

ikki5

@Stu13 I doubt there will be one. If there was none for the Wii U, why would you expect one for the 3DS? The biggest reason why there was one for the 3DS was more due to the fact that it had a massive price cut very early into it's life which upset a lot of early adopters.

Re: A Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Is On the Way

ikki5

@TheLastLugia

Because that announcement was a waste of time, showed hardly anything to get excited for and people blew it up way more than it should have been. They could have done so much more but didn't and it really pretty much felt that they don't care what the directs really are. It almost felt like they are just doing it because of people whining for them to do one so they just slap anything in a video and call it a direct.
