Re: Analysis: Assessing Why NX Needs to Take Over From Both the Wii U and 3DS

ikki5

For me, the NX better be a Wii u replacement and it better be comparable with what is already there is power and support. if it's not, it's ready a dead system to me. I also know that if it is what I want, i know I won't be getting until until a year after release because A) It will drop in price and B), better bundles and more limited editions.

@faint I went through open heart surgery and was out of the hospital in 4 days, I was back to school 2 weeks after that. My aunt had a C section with my cousin and she was back on her feet and going like she always did after a month and she was in her late 30s. Also, the Maternity leave is not just for C-section, my Sister was on mat leave for a year and a half and half and had a natural birth.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Voice Actress Is In Favour Of Lin's Western Costume Change

@faint The games not censored vs the censored isn't even close when it comes to Nintendo. This is what differentiates Nintendo with Capcom when it comes to the issue. Censoring is a common practice with Nintendo even if they don't do it for all games. It's sad to see people defend Nintendo with these types of issues when really... there could be an option for both, even more so when they are already doing the work to censor it in the first place. I guess some people can only envision stuff so far.

P.S - Capcom did get quite a bit of backlash when they censored Street Fighter.

Watch Zelda U be delayed until Q1 of 2017

@pek727

Because no one cares about Star Fox anymore. The last version of it for DS sold half a million nation wide and that was on the second best selling console of all time. Now Zelda on the other hand, this is going to be the biggest Zelda game ever with the first true (hopefully) open world.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's 2015?

ikki5

@JaxonH The problem I have is I love Nintendo games but Nintendo just doesn't seem to want to care. It is either little option with a small library to choose from or an enormous library with a lot of support which I will still be able to find the games that are just as fun as Nintendo and more.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's 2015?

ikki5

@JPjosh
in 2014, we were waiting for 2015, in 2015, some of us are waiting for 2016 and hoping the NX will save our jumping ship. My feet are already in the water. I spent roughly $400 from mid November to now on home console video games and none of them were on Nintendo. My money this holiday all went to Sony.

Oh NoA, you never cease to amaze me. Here EU gets Wave Race and the snowboarding game with a discount attached to one if you buy one and we just get the snowboarding one. lol

What a joke NoA is. Back to Sony I go for this week.

Re: Talking Point: Five Key Challenges Nintendo Faces with the NX

ikki5

@DarthNocturnal If they make something as powerful as the Xbox One or PS4, it can be done at a decent cost since that hardware doesn't cost nearly as much anymore. By next year if they release, they could probably release it at $350 and take the same kind of a loss they usually do at console launches.

@smashbrolink

It is a niche game.

Re: Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima Has Published a New Message for Shareholders and Investors

ikki5

@Fee
It doesn't matter if they said it here or not, the fact is, they have made the claim that they will get the ball rolling with 3rd party many times and yet, they did nothing for the 3rd party so the 3rd party went to people who treated them better. To be honest, the fact that they didn't mention 3rd party here is already bad because it basically states that they feel they don't need them/ are not important when in reality, their gaming systems are dying. If Nintendo really cares about their shareholders, they need to stop with the fluff statements and empty promises otherwise, they will be getting new investors for whatever product they move on to after the video game industry. What should also be concerning is that this statement is basically what they've been telling them for the last year or two... even when they now have a new president.

Re: Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima Has Published a New Message for Shareholders and Investors

ikki5

@Fee lol what? Nintendo didn't make any promised for 3rd party? Please tell me you're joking. Nintendo was all over 3rd parties at the early life of the Wii U and then.... well Nintendo did Nintendo and the 3rd party said screw it. Sure they didn't make it here but overall, Nintendo has always talked about how much it does for 3rd party when it's support for them is a joke.

@faint
Comparing the movie sector to video games is grasping at straws as they have nothing really in common and are two very different products. For one, I barely even watch movies. But for Nintendo, sure, the exclusives are greats... sometimes but it is the same thing over and over and over. I can only play 2D Mario so much and I think Mario Maker killed 2D Mario for me for the next 10 years. I have found myself playing Nintendo games less and less because it is just the same thing essentially. Smash, was fun while it lasted, Mario Kart, fun while it lasted but Nintendo's big hitters, they bore quickly now. But then again, that doesn't mean their games are not great because they are quite good, the problem I have do I want a system for a few good exclusives that I will really enjoy with next to no 3rd party or do I want a system that has tons of games, a variety of types and genres that reach a huge spectrum, sure they may not be exclusive but why does that matter in the end anyway? If I want to play then, I need something to play them on. That is also one thing that I never understood... "Oh, that system isn't as good because it has less exclusives".. if it has the games I want, I don't care if they are exclusive or not. It is not like Nintendo exclusives or any other system exclusives are going to fill an empty hole that only Nintendo (or others can fill) can fill. A system that has games continuously coming to it regardless if they are exclusive or not is better than a system with pretty much only exclusives for it and not the 3rd party.

There are also many other problem that Nintendo just doesn't seem to get but I'll be here all night.

As for Toadette, she was created during the Gamecube era which tells me that you're still a young one in terms of Nintendo fan.

Re: Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima Has Published a New Message for Shareholders and Investors

@faint

When a company fails for pretty much the last 5 years and even when the new guy comes and still nothing seems to be changing, you can't expect me to see his comments (pretty much the same as Iwata's comments) to take them seriously. He'll need to show it and not be all talk like Iwata was within the last few years. Yeah, in the end it is just video games but at the same time, Nintendo was something I loved for over 20 years and well, I'm already shifting away from them because Nintendo isn't really up to even par anymore and there is much better out there now. Nintendo has until the NX to change my mind.

Re: Nintendo Download: 24th December (North America)

ikki5

@IceClimbers

I guess you missed this part

"I'm pretty much bailing on Nintendo after the Wii U"

I am still here because I still own a Wii U (And 3DS but... lol, not much left for that either), once the NX or whatever it is comes out, I'd be surprised if I am here much after that. Maybe to see if it is even remotely worth it. As for the PS4, there is a reason why I got the PS3 and will get the PS4 in 1-2 years. Even still, with as the PS4 is now, it still blows anything Nintendo out of the water right now. Nintendo may win in what... exclusives... but that is about it

Re: Nintendo Download: 24th December (North America)

ikki5

@kensredemption
"Shame on all of you. Seriously. If you've been a fan of Nintendo for as long as you say you have, you'd at least be mature enough to have some sort of gratitude or patience for everything you're already getting. All I see here are a bunch of briny squiddies.."

For more than 20 years, I've been a fan and guess what, I'm going to Sony. I laugh at you telling us to have patience. Sorry to tell you but Wii U owners have been patience for 3 years now for Nintendo only to get worse and irrelevant. Nintendo doesn't want to deliver anymore? I'll be giving my money to Sony, at least they offer me something and not at absurd prices like Nintendo. Nintendo obviously doesn't want to keep me a fan so I'll join the 90 million people that already bailed on them.

Re: Nintendo Download: 24th December (North America)

ikki5

@crzysortagamer Are you serious? "What if updating the eshop is a bit more complex than it sounds"... They have a whole year to deck out the eshop and have it ready for Christmas. Saying it is a bit more complicated when they can work out those issues, and plan for a year, it is a bit ridiculous. Even more so for the entitled part... we bought the system to play games, even more so when the games they release are games that everyone and their dog owns and can be bought retail for cheaper than on the e-shop and you can play it on the same system. This is the worst Christmas sale (companies actually doing one) out of any company right now.. and people wonder why Nintendo has become so irrelevant in like 90% of the world.

Re: Nintendo Download: 24th December (North America)

ikki5

@Pokefanmum82

Sony is getting my money this Christmas, why? Because they're better. Nintendo is going to die if they keep it up. They are already almost irrelevant outside of Japan and their strategy is to keep getting worse for some reason. Telling us to stop complaining when Nintendo is a piece of garbage right now? us complaining is what tells them what's wrong. What is even more dumb is they won't listen which already tells me future Nintendo systems are dead already.

@Wolfgabe
You can enjoy being second rate. I'm pretty much bailing on Nintendo after the Wii U as they are just a flop, an irrelevancy in the majority of the world now. Heck, I'm already kind of bailing on them now as I bought a PlayStation 3 a few weeks ago and will probably be going for the PS4 in 1-2 years. Their service is terrible, their weekly releases are terrible, Their library variety is terribly and their support (both theirs and 3rd party) is terrible. The NX is currently dead to me. If they don't want to deliver, I am not going to stick around. I'll join the other 90 million people who bailed on Nintendo last gen.

Re: Nintendo NX Doesn't Need To Compete With PlayStation 4 And Xbox One To Be A Success, Claims Analyst

ikki5

The biggest fallacy I see here is power is what this generation seems to be about. It is not like last gen where it was about gimmicks.We have had almost every major developer say they are skipping the Wii U for a game due to the Wii U's lack of power. We have had games gimped beyond crazy due to lack of power. What Nintendo needs to do is find that next thing but do it with the power to compete with the other two. Otherwise, if they release weak, underpowered again, they'll be dead on arrival.
