Re: Poll: So, Do You Prefer Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Or Tears Of The Kingdom?

If TotK was the first one with all the same content and such, I would probably go with that one. However, it is tough, BotW, I spend well over 100 hours on that, maybe even closer to 200. TotK, I am lucky if I will break even 50 just because much of the game is basically what BotW was... so I am probably going to have to go with BotW just because it made a much bigger impact for me.

Online Co-op and/or single player. I play with 3 other people right now. I know on PC. I think you can get servers of up to 32 players. I hope they add PVP.

Right now the achievements are bugged when playing online but if you do the single player, you can unlock the catching ones. You can customize the world to speed things up or slow them down and make it even harder.

Re: Yes, Nintendo Is Aware Of Palworld's Existence

I have been addicted to the game, I have put in 30 hours on it already and I still keep wanting more. It is only in early access too... The game is now in 2nd for most concurrent players on steam for all time. I doubt the devs even thought it would be this successful.

The game is really fun. I bought it yesterday on Steam and went to just try it out. Next thing I know, it is 4:00am

@Buizel
When I saw and caught that, the first thing it reminded me of was Carbuncle from the Final Fantasy series, not an Eeveevolution and still looking at it, it looks more like Carbuncle

Re: Random: Nintendo Is Now Refusing To Offer Stock To Amazon France After Disagreements

ikki5

@AlternateButtons

Except usually it is not the manufacturer that takes the hit for the cost but more the retailers. it's not like Amazon will tell Nintendo that it needs to give Amazon the Switch for €20 less, it is more Amazon probably would have taken the loss on this with the idea that it will get more people to spend money on other things like games, accessories and potentially services which is where they would make the bulk of their money.

Re: Feature: 5 Times Sony Shamelessly Copied Nintendo

ikki5

@Damo

it baffles me how people continue to say Sony copied Nintendo over this when you can argue that Nintendo copied Atari and Sega as they had classic consoles come out before Nintendo.

The Totaku Collection isn't really a copying either since they don't interact with games (Which I will point out again that Nintendo didn't start the toys with games also) and figures from game/movies and such have been a thing for... well more than 20 years now.

@Rika_Yoshitake

What exactly did Sony steal?

Re: Nintendo Switch Battery Test Reveals Some Surprising Results

@ElGrego

Pretty much this, from the iPad Air 2s I have used, it staying on can give you 8 hours no problem. At at the store I work at, if the charging cables stop working, we usually don't worry about it and will fix it the next day before the store opens because they will last most of the working day, 8-10 hours of the screen constantly on with the demo running and that is also with people and kids coming in to use them and/or play games on them. From the ones I have used, i have basically done nothing but play games on it for 6+ hours.

The only way I can see them being this bad is if they are old iPads where the battery isn't at it's prime or it was never fully charged to begin with.

Re: Talking Point: Considering the Paid Online Service for the Nintendo Switch

ikki5

I honestly will never pay for Nintendo's online for the simple reason that the service looks inferior to the competitor. No mention of cloud savings, you lose the monthly games at the end of the month even if you are still paying. Not only that but it sounds like the free games are old games where the competition, they offer more current games, even if a lot of them are just indie games. Voice chat is locked behind the paywall while needing a 3rd party device that has chat options for free.

Re: Super Mario Run Passed 40 Million Downloads in Just Four Days, Focus Shifts to Improvements

ikki5

@kenrulei

All companies give their shipped numbers, in fact, when you look at any kind of sales data, it is almost always shipped numbers because they don't actually know how many copies are in the hands of the consumers. All they know is that the retailers bought "x amount" and they are selling in those store. The only time they may know the actual number is if I was a digital only title. So it is more a "we don't actually know" thing rather than a "we should show shipped to look better" thing.

This is why when SE post their 5 million sales for Final Fantasy XV, they said sold digitally and shipped because they don't know how many physical copies actually sold and are in the hands of the consumers.

Re: Here Are Your New My Nintendo Rewards

ikki5

@Lucina

I am sorry but when you have a company that provides a service, in which they go an cancel to then give us something of even lesser quality, you're going to get complaints. Like come on, aside from the platinum coins here, you need to pay in order to get the gold coins. Like with your dinner at a restaurant, if the quality of food progressively got worse, I am sure you'd complain too.

Back when it was Club Nintendo, people were getting tired of the quality of the rewards program going down the toilet and then they ended it with telling us that something bigger and better is coming. Well, they gave us My Nintendo which really is a worse service than what Club Nintendo was. Club Nintendo we at least got free games 9 or games at no extra cost) where as this, the rewards are for a percentage off of games. Sure, there are more free way to get coins however, you still need to play their stupid game to get them and/or take the time to go around to various things which you don't care for and and doesn't really have the rewards to warrant it.

To top it all off, these coins expire rather quickly. people already had enough problems with the 2 years on the Club Nintendo coins being two years and now they chopped that to a quarter of that time.

Overall, the quality of service has degraded to the point where people just don't care for it anymore. I myself have not even logged into My Nintendo since probably close to 6 months now because it is a waste of time. Club Nintendo at least had stuff that I may have wanted (Especially if I didn't buy all the games I wanted) where as this, it's not even worth taking the time to log into Miiverse or the website every week.

Re: Pokémon GO Has Lost 79 Percent of its Paying Population

ikki5

well, When you "fix" things by removing them and don't really maintain the game that well, these things tend to happen.

It's been weeks since I've hatched an egg now since I can no longer ride a bike it seems (and those people who say it still works, I call BS) and I've kind of stopped caring about the game myself. So glad I didn't spend any money on this.

Re: Xbox One NES Emulator Passes Certification, Could Hit Console In The Next Few Days

ikki5

It is quite interesting how this is going through really. Nintendo is going to have a hard time taking this down really since emulators are not illegal. I am curious to see how this will unfold.

@Arehexes
Nintendo is going to have to go after those people with the USB drive and really, Nintendo is going to have a hard time getting that information from Microsoft, if Microsoft can get that information.

@Ogbert
Actually, no, the term "NES" is not trademarked as really, it could stand for anything. What is trade market is "Nintendo Entertainment System," not the abbreviation.
