Canadian developer Over The Moon has announced that its latest project The Fall Part 2: Unbound will be launching on Nintendo Switch on February 13th.
As a sequel to The Fall, which was originally released on Wii U, this game combines haunting metroidvania exploration with brain teasing point-and-click adventure puzzles. As you can see from the trailer above, there is also a large amount of thoroughly chilling sci-fi present throughout.
The Fall Part 2: Unbound is said to pick up right where its predecessor left off, following the exploits of A.R.I.D., a rogue AI who’s rewritten its protocol to follow one rule: 'save myself'. The new parameters of A.R.I.D.’s programming have given her the ability to possess new hosts, essentially appearing to control them at her own will by overriding their natural human instincts. Creepy stuff.

I think I'd be more interested if part 1 came to Switch also. I'm really not interested in getting it on Wii U.

The first one was brilliant, but I only paid whatever portion of the bundle price they got for it. I look forward to paying full price and supporting developers who have earned it.

The original is one of my most favorite Wii U experiences. I'm disappointed that I've not gotten a chance to play it again since release. Hopefully it too comes to Switch at some point.

The Fall on WiiU was probably the most surprising game for me that I just bought randomly during a sale. The story as it unfolded was amazingly told. Looking forward to this. I'm also hoping the original gets a switch release to have them both on the system.

@beazlen1 I actually played The Fall and Swapper (and Affordable Space Adventures) in the same weekend. I had a really great scifi weekend with my Wii U.
I'm looking forward to this. The first game was great! But the Metroidvania label is misleading. The first one was called that as well. If you look at screenshots or short gameplay footage plus the fact that you have to unlock new abilities to enter new areas it seems to fit.
But in reality it is a point and click adventure through and through with some very basic combat added on top. That is nothing negative and adventure games are my favorite genre. Just don't expect Metroid or you might be disappointed.

This game concept seems awesome. The voice acting was SO BAD, but the story seems like it would be really cool. I'll pick it up. As others have said, I wish they had the first one on Switch as well. I had never heard of it.I guess I could dust off the Wii U and find it on there.
I'll get this but I would love to play the original game on the Switch as well as I never played it.
1st game was very good. Hopefully the developer can continue this trend.

The Fall is a beast! I loved so much this game on WII U. Day one for the part 2.
Already in my wishlist. Loved the first one and their description says it's supposed to be 3 times as long. It will be nice to see what becomes of A.R.I.D. next.

I got the first one from a humble bundle and wasn't expecting much, but it was actually a really cool game.

Wish I’d finished the first one on Wii U. Cant play this one until then. If the first one comes to Switch then check this one out.
I hate how good this looks. I might have to check out part 1, but it will more likely be on my PS4 to keep them together. My Wii U has one foot in the closet at this point and as of now is only hooked up once in a blue moon and sharing an HDMI cable with my PS3.
I really enjoyed the story, puzzles, and environments of the first Fall game on Wii U and I've been waiting for the sequel since I beat it.

The developer confirmed already during last year that the second part is not coming to Wii U and that sucks. I guess I'll have to look for it on PC since haven't seen any Switches under my tv set yet...
But yeah, definitely the developer should thing about releasing the first part and second part together for Switch since this is a continuation of the story and it's a dumb move to have just the sequel on Switch.
