Quite a few of the games in today's Nindie Showcase made a positive impression, but it's fair to say that Mom Hid My Game baffled some onlookers.
It's a light-hearted game in which you have to solve puzzles and find assorted gaming systems hidden through various rooms. Developed by hap Inc. and previously released on smart devices, KEMCO - which typically brings RPG ports to the 3DS eShop - is publishing this one.
It's coming to both the Switch and 3DS with exclusive stages; the question is whether it'll be worth finding on the eShop when it arrives. What do you think?

Haha oh geez
I think mom was right in hiding this game.
Baker was practically telling us to stay away from this game during this segment.
There is a fine line between genius and madness. I think this game is drunk while trying to walk that line! SOLD!
Also the art reminds me of those safety instructional booklets you see on planes.
I'm not sure how i feel about this as a game, but i'm somehow attracted by the weirdness. Look where the mom is hiding in the last scene from the game!
Sort of a twist on "Where's Waldo" with handhelds/game consoles. It seems too simplistic for me, even for an indie game.
Together with "Battle Chef Brigade" this is the least interesting game in the indie game list for me.
This game looks like a wario ware cutting room floor game.
It has a sequel...I'm scared.
@icomma Games like these are why I would like a Nintendo Switch Humble Bundle in a couple of years. Fun to play, but not for more than a dollar.
Huh ?!
At First You Thought This was a Comment, the Game.™
How does something like this get approved for switch, but not Night Trap?
Just snagged the iOS version...its amusing. I wouldn't pay more than 1.99 for it but it is amusing.
It seems like they should find a way to highlight the name of the game so it's separate from the rest of the headline. Especially as game titles get less distinctive.
This is clearly going to be game of the year! Vroom In The Night Sky, eat your heart out!
Completed this game on iOS about half a year ago. It's more fun than it seems, but it was very short (took about 45 min) and definitely feels like a mobile title.
Mom hid my credit card, so unfortunately I can't download this one.
I played basically every game this developer made lol, and tbh all the games have this really weird sense of humor that I loved. For some puzzles, I have to say it does help you understand the joke if you know more about Asian folktales.
@bluesdance I think she did you a favor.
Mom should of hidden the developers computer, this looks awful
You know at first I just said like "wait, what?"
And then right after I said "Oh, nice, looks like trash but fun like the Wario Minigames collection!"
And at the end of the trailer I just realize it just looked like trash and fun as trash and go "tell me it's a joke."
Are we going to finally see under $5 games?
@icomma Ah, okay. The trailer didn't really make that clear, so a "Where's Waldo" impression is all I got from it.
@TossedLlama Sniperclips? Now that would actually be a real hardcore game for a Nintendo system...
@TossedLlama Ah, sorry. Didn't know that. It was meant as a friendly pun, not an insult, hope that came across.
I thought it was noticeable how the enthusiasm quickly disappeared from the broadcast whilst discussing this game.
Bit funny to me.
@TossedLlama Good to hear (read), but I will keep this in mind for future reference...
@GoldenGamer88,
Lol.
@TossedLlama Seriously? I actually meant to NOT do that from now on, since you can't help it, and it would seem to me that someone that is correcting you all the time would become highly annoying at some point.
@TossedLlama Okay Confucius, will do...
(Hope you got that one)
