All this going to do is get cards pulled from online stores, have cards in stores locked up like cigarettes, and have no returns for trading cards become a thing. 🤷🏽♂️
I wonder if they are looking to make an Olympics game with the likenesses of actual athletes. It'd probably be difficult since there no guarantee of who is going to actually compete.
Hopefully they can still get it on the Switch, but I really wish they prioritized the Switch port before. It only makes sense to prioritize the bestselling current console, imo.
If it runs as well as MHR, I'm game. That said, I am going to do all I can to get a Switch 2 day one, so I would love it if it was a launch title for it.
That's their loss. They failed to put their bestselling game on the bestselling modern console (also potentially the best selling console of all time).
I hope every leaker suffers from ingrown toenails, hangnails, cracked cuticles, perpetually stubbed toes, deeply split lips, bouts of constipation and diarrhea, sprained ankles, torn hamstrings, tonsil stones, bedbugs, and blackheads.
Whistle-blowers are one thing, but those who intentionally ruin surprises for clout deserve to suffer every inconvenient ailment possible.
I don't doubt this game will make a lot of money. However, Nintendo does not affiliate itself Summer Game Fest, so I won't give them any credit for the announcement. This is all Sanrio and Nintendo.
I wouldn't mind them relaxing their restrictions somewhat, but I can see why they put up so many restrictions in the first place. They need to get rid of the creepy pervs who designed/wrote the dialogue for some these characters. Mario (and you as the player) is subjected to some creepy dialogue and actions from certain characters.
Also, ghost with big lips and an even bigger chest is some creepy fetish stuff. I am far removed from a prude, I enjoy some "games of culture" now and then, but it's encroaching on Xenoblade 2 levels of cringe in this game.
So far, I prefer Origami King to TTYD. I don't care for the battle system in either game.
Just waiting for that Nitendoom crowd to infiltrate the comments. I'm glad Nintendo is more successful than ever. I bet those sales would be even higher if the "fans" that pirate their games bought them like the rest of us.
I would rather have the third version than DLC... but I would much rather have a single complete game/story rather than two infinitely worse stories. Gens 3 and 4 were evidence that the split game concept hinders the games. Emerald and Platinum are my favorite games because they felt like the most complete games, storywise. Just imagine how much better the story of Scarlet and Violet would have been if we were given one complete game exploring both past and future paradox Pokémon. Imagine if we got fully realized Emerald or Platinum remakes for 3DS and Switch rather than the half-formed games we did get. The Legends games are proof that single game releases can work for Pokémon. GF and TPC need acknowledge that and move on from that outdated concept.
Whatever they do with the game, I think it will definitely be a better experience than Scarlet and Violet, like Legends Arceus before it. I really hope they keep the QoL changes from LA as well.
I'm glad to see it. PLA was a breath of fresh air in-between two not so great mainline entries. I hope they are planning Legends games for each region. Johto, Hoenn, and Unova need some love. I also hope this dispels the incorrect belief that the Legends games are not mainline games.
Are they crossing third party and indie now because, if so, I'm pulling for Coral Island and Little Kitty, Big City. If not, Persona 3 Reload, the new Tomb Raider games (I can hope), Mass Effect Trilogy (hope, hope, hope), 10 years of backlogged CoD games from Microsoft (why not?), HiFi Rush, FFXIII Trilogy (🤷🏽♂️), Dragon's Dogma 2, and that new MH game. Ooo, and a new MH Stories. Actual port os the KH games? Xenogears, Xenosaga, Chrono Trigger, and Chrono Trigger 2: Electric Boogaloo? What about that leaked SMT5 game?
This is exactly why people shouldn't put so much stock in rumors. How can an unconfirmed, unannounced console have a delay that affects the share price?
People shouldn't put so much stock into rumors and leaks. I bet a bunch of people are mad because Starfield isn't coming to PlayStation, as if they weren't just making fun of the game when it came out last year.
@Anachronism And of course, when the bear lashes out, everyone will blame the bear. Even though the guy kept poking the bear in the eye with his stick.
Hackers lying about their shinies to fleece you out of your legit ones is the main reason why I don't like hackers, pirates, etc. I stopped trading with people online during the Gen 4 days because of it.
Unfortunately, I've tried enough Pokémon-like games to know that nothing can quite scratch that itch. All of them have something that makes them lesser. I thought Temtem could've been the one, but it being a paid mmo does too much damage to it. Also, too many of those games keep going for the gen 5 graphics, cassette beasts included. I know some people love the graphics of that era, but I never cared for them.
I own or have at least played the majority of this list, and none of the games scratch that Pokémon itch effectively. The closest I would say is I felt that connection was Monster Hunter Stories, but that's because of my love of Monster Hunter. I played SMT since the 3DS entries, but you miss out on forming a bond with your monsters because you are expected to fuse them so much. I also enjoyed Ooblets and Ni No Kuni, but I hesitate to compare them to Pokémon past a certain point, the same with Slime Rancher. I haven't played Digimon yet, but I don't see why Survive is included. I also haven't played DQ Treasures or Monsters yet, but I am hopeful that the two are good. Also, @imadeanaccount is correct that a lot of these games stray closer to ripoff/knockoff. Coromon, Nexomon, Temtem, and Monster Crown being the standouts.
And in a stunning upset, Baldur's Gate 3 beats out The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for Game of the Year because you can do more than just RIDE the bear. 😉
I read the title as "Nintendo Reconfirms Windows Release For Major Upcoming Switch Games". I thought Nintendo just announced out of the blue that they would be supporting PC with Switch games.

Re: Rumour: Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games "Finished"
@SillyG That's fair. Maybe they want to go the realistic route, but in more of a "design your own Olympian" way.
Re: Rumour: Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games "Finished"
I wonder if they are looking to make an Olympics game with the likenesses of actual athletes. It'd probably be difficult since there no guarantee of who is going to actually compete.

I don't doubt this game will make a lot of money. However, Nintendo does not affiliate itself Summer Game Fest, so I won't give them any credit for the announcement. This is all Sanrio and Nintendo.
Re: Talking Point: Is Summer Game Fest Really Missing Nintendo's Presence?
Yes it is missing Nintendo, but Nintendo is better off on there own. Also, SGF is a sad imitation of E3, but so was E3 at it's end, so...
Re: Talking Point: HD-2D Or 3D - How Should Square Enix Remake Chrono Trigger?
I think they should do both. I would definitely buy both.

At least it didn't leak two weeks ago, like usual. This one only leaked 20 years ago.

Never heard of SaGa, but I am interested.

I would rather have the third version than DLC... but I would much rather have a single complete game/story rather than two infinitely worse stories. I just need a release date. A demo too, if we're lucky.
Re: Balatro Back On Switch eShop In Europe With New Age Rating
Ooo, 18+. Sounds naughty. 😉
But seriously, this is dumb and they should feel dumb. This kind of crap is the reason the Game Corners were ripped from the Pokémon games...
Re: Talking Point: What DS & 3DS Games Would You Still Like To See On Switch?
I voted for Fire Emblem: Awakening, but Kid Icarus Uprising and Dragon Quest VIII are also top contenders.

Re: Switch Emulator Yuzu To Pay $2.4 Million To Nintendo & Cease Development
HAHA! That was fast, too. They folded so quickly, almost like they knew they had no case, or something. 🤷🏽♂️
I hope Nintendo turns around and uses the emulator For Switch games on future consoles. It's their's now. 🤣

Honestly, I don't know what to expect.
Re: It Looks Like Gold And Silver Will Feature In The Next 'Pokémon Presents'
I'm hoping for Legends AND Let's Go, but I'll settle for either one. However, I'd much rather have Legends and have the old games added to NSO.
Re: Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase February 2024 - Time, Where To Watch, What To Expect
I need release dates for Little Kitty, Big City and Coral Island. If I get that, everything else will be icing on the cake.

@asmi8803 I'll take it! As long as it's not another Wii U tablet add-on situation.
Re: 8% Of Developers Are Apparently Working On Games For Switch's Successor
I'd rather a Switch 2 than a Switch U, but I am hoping for the Super Switch.
Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?
I want the Super Nintendo Switch, then the Ultra Nintendo Switch, then finally the Ultimate Nintendo Switch!

This week, I taped a plastic butter knife to a bent mop handle to stabilize it, channeling my best TOTK fuse technique.
