Re: Leaker 'Pyoro' Locks Account After Claiming Their Source Works For Nintendo

eaglebob345

I hope every leaker suffers from ingrown toenails, hangnails, cracked cuticles, perpetually stubbed toes, deeply split lips, bouts of constipation and diarrhea, sprained ankles, torn hamstrings, tonsil stones, bedbugs, and blackheads.

Whistle-blowers are one thing, but those who intentionally ruin surprises for clout deserve to suffer every inconvenient ailment possible.

Re: New Paper Mario Survey Reportedly Acknowledges Unique Character Designs

eaglebob345

I wouldn't mind them relaxing their restrictions somewhat, but I can see why they put up so many restrictions in the first place. They need to get rid of the creepy pervs who designed/wrote the dialogue for some these characters. Mario (and you as the player) is subjected to some creepy dialogue and actions from certain characters.

Also, ghost with big lips and an even bigger chest is some creepy fetish stuff. I am far removed from a prude, I enjoy some "games of culture" now and then, but it's encroaching on Xenoblade 2 levels of cringe in this game.

So far, I prefer Origami King to TTYD. I don't care for the battle system in either game.

Re: Talking Point: Should 'Third' Pokémon Games Make A Comeback?

eaglebob345

I would rather have the third version than DLC... but I would much rather have a single complete game/story rather than two infinitely worse stories. Gens 3 and 4 were evidence that the split game concept hinders the games. Emerald and Platinum are my favorite games because they felt like the most complete games, storywise. Just imagine how much better the story of Scarlet and Violet would have been if we were given one complete game exploring both past and future paradox Pokémon. Imagine if we got fully realized Emerald or Platinum remakes for 3DS and Switch rather than the half-formed games we did get. The Legends games are proof that single game releases can work for Pokémon. GF and TPC need acknowledge that and move on from that outdated concept.

Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Announced, Coming To Switch In 2025

I'm glad to see it. PLA was a breath of fresh air in-between two not so great mainline entries. I hope they are planning Legends games for each region. Johto, Hoenn, and Unova need some love. I also hope this dispels the incorrect belief that the Legends games are not mainline games.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?

eaglebob345

Are they crossing third party and indie now because, if so, I'm pulling for Coral Island and Little Kitty, Big City. If not, Persona 3 Reload, the new Tomb Raider games (I can hope), Mass Effect Trilogy (hope, hope, hope), 10 years of backlogged CoD games from Microsoft (why not?), HiFi Rush, FFXIII Trilogy (🤷🏽‍♂️), Dragon's Dogma 2, and that new MH game. Ooo, and a new MH Stories. Actual port os the KH games? Xenogears, Xenosaga, Chrono Trigger, and Chrono Trigger 2: Electric Boogaloo? What about that leaked SMT5 game?

Honestly, I don't know what to expect.

Re: Soapbox: Cassette Beasts Is The Monster-Catching RPG For A Disillusioned Pokémon Fan

eaglebob345

Unfortunately, I've tried enough Pokémon-like games to know that nothing can quite scratch that itch. All of them have something that makes them lesser. I thought Temtem could've been the one, but it being a paid mmo does too much damage to it. Also, too many of those games keep going for the gen 5 graphics, cassette beasts included. I know some people love the graphics of that era, but I never cared for them.

Re: Best Pokémon-Likes On Nintendo Switch - Games To Play After You've Finished Pokémon

eaglebob345

I own or have at least played the majority of this list, and none of the games scratch that Pokémon itch effectively. The closest I would say is I felt that connection was Monster Hunter Stories, but that's because of my love of Monster Hunter. I played SMT since the 3DS entries, but you miss out on forming a bond with your monsters because you are expected to fuse them so much. I also enjoyed Ooblets and Ni No Kuni, but I hesitate to compare them to Pokémon past a certain point, the same with Slime Rancher. I haven't played Digimon yet, but I don't see why Survive is included. I also haven't played DQ Treasures or Monsters yet, but I am hopeful that the two are good.
Also, @imadeanaccount is correct that a lot of these games stray closer to ripoff/knockoff. Coromon, Nexomon, Temtem, and Monster Crown being the standouts.
