@BLD I have to agree with you for 3 Houses. Rather than telling a good story, they chose to make 3.5 routes of dubious quality, with what should have been the omni route (church route) just a gimped version of the Golden Deer route. Not to mention that the whole conflict with Rhea and Edelgard could've been resolved with literally one conversation within the ENTIRE YEAR they lived together. We barely got a good explanation for why certain characters did certain things, but they made sure to kill off Edelgard and Dimitri in every route you don't side with them. Then 3 Hope came along and did nothing more than destroy Claude's character.
I got happy until I saw which Tomb Raider games. Knowing that the first two reboot games were on PS3/360, I'm honestly surprised that they never made it to the Switch. I think you're right, @Shambo. It's a bit late in the game to bring Tomb Raider to the Switch, though I would still support a physical release of the reboot trilogy if it comes to pass.
I just wanna know what's coming in the fall and winter. New hardware can wait until next year. Unless they are actually planning a release this fall... in which case, I am open to it. I doubt it, though. The Switch still has some juice left to squeeze.
@presenttense I did quite a few towers before I knew how to get the paraglider. The best I could do was aim for water and hope for the best. I think the paraglider and the flight suit should have been given before leaving the sky islands since the geoglyphs were available at that point.
I just got curious because a YouTuber was complaining that the story quests were mandatory before you can fight the final boss, which is not the case. Kinda makes me wish I beat all the shrines before progressing with the story, but oh well.
People keep poking the bear and they look shocked when their arm gets bitten off. I'll be surprised if they don't get some kind of take down notice from Nintendo.
@-wc- Some people just like to ruin things. Like those people who stole the game and dumped it online. Then the people online try to defend those practices and blame Nintendo for the actions of the hackers and thieves. And they come after Nintendo for "being too harsh" on hackers and thieves.
The sad part is, if you actually just play the game, you don't even need duplication glitches. People just want to fast track themselves through the game instead of just playing it.
@sanderev Exactly. Not to mention that those exploits and bugs were obviously not found during regular playthroughs. They hacked and datamined the game to death, then use what they learned to cheese the game. It's so disingenuous.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 was pretty good and Ooblets is adorable, but none of these quite have the same feeling of Pokémon. Nexomon has some glaring flaws that made it feel too much like an imitation rather than a game that can stand on its own. Temtem I will never play unless it has an offline mode, which is a shame because I do like the way it looks. Also, both Nexomon and Temtem have some blatant Pokémon "inspired" designs as well, which I don't really like.
I avoid the games that look like Gen 1-3 Pokémon games entirely because that art style doesn't appeal to me nor do the creature designs. The beta Gen 1 Pokémon designs look better than those games.
@Ryu_Niiyama Haha, that's fair. I only buy Nintendo and Sony (if they would put out a real handheld) consoles, but I've been pulling for Microsoft to one up Sony for years now. Both Sony and Microsoft do better when they are firing on all cylinders, but Microsoft keeps tripping over its own feet. I'm hoping they manage to snag Activision/Blizzard only so they look like less of a joke going against Sony.
It it was a handheld digital only PS5, I'd be all over it. For those who do want it though, I hope the price isn't exorbitant. Unless it is more than just a streaming device, that thing better not be more than $100.
So the company who dominated the sales charts for over half a decade, swept the two most power systems for two years after they launched, and just launched potentially the biggest game and movie of the year has low brand momemtum (awareness, idk wtf does that even mean)? Sure. Yep. We totally believe that. Next Sony's gonna tell us that they're super smart and very handsome because their mommy said so. 🙄
I'm at 85+ and I think I put a sizable dent into the game. 2 dungeons, 97 shrines, all of the geoglyphs (I think 11?), 70+ lightroots, all of the labyrinths, the master sword, etc. I'm using what I know from BotW to get as far as I can. I've got another long weekend coming up that I'm hoping to use to finish the story.
@Axecon They did! The only thing that got me through AoC was the story, which was pure hype. I loved seeing the characters as they were in the before times, Purah and Impa being my favorites.
@Maulbert Don't get me wrong, I don't like the gameplay either. I only played it for the story. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is another game I had to muddle through with bad gameplay. The things I must do for story are annoying...
@Eagly If it were at all possible, I think either Nintendo EPD and/or Monolith Soft should be allowed to create Pokémon games going forward. It could be glorious, but GF is just holding the series back.
Don't forget that these numbers are even more impressive when you consider that Pokémon SV sales are inflated because of the two versions. Some people buy both versions of the game, like me (I regret nothing 🙃). That makes TOTK's sales all the more impressive.
I snagged the last special edition at my Gamestop at the midnight release. Lucky me and an excellent game so far. I found a few shrines that couldn't be completed without the paraglider, much to my chagrin, and I found a really awesome bonus at the horse stable. More Breath of the Wild would have been great, but the new stuff so far is exceptional.
Just another one reaping what they sowed. You'd think people would look at this case, the Gamestop employee, and their recent court victory and realize that it's only a matter of time before Nintendo finds them. I will never have any sympathy for pirates, hackers, or leakers.
What I said is far from vulgar or inappropriate to me, but rules are rules. I'm not going to argue with it. 🤷🏽♂️
My original draft said being sued into oblivion is the fate that leakers, hackers, and pirates deserve, which I'm hoping doesn't also rustle anyone's jimmies. Regardless, the rest of my comment still stands. I hope they can keep the game under wraps as long as possible leading up to release. I hate that people keep hacking, pirating, and leaking big games before they launch. They deserve lawsuits on top of lawsuits for that behavior.
@WaffleRaptor01 Obviously it's a joke. I wouldn't snap anyone out of existence, I'm not a big purple alien with dubious (stupid) ideals. Speaking of, I'm guessing Thanos would be banned from this comment section. 😳
I for sure thought thought the title of this article was "Can We Stop Pretending Switch Can't Ruin Call Of Duty?". I was getting my pitchfork and torch ready. 😅 The Switch can definitely run CoD. Capable developers can get anything to run on the Switch, within reason. That's why we saw Doom, Doom Eternal, Nier: Automata, etc. A lot of these companies are either incapable or unwilling to put the work in, but it can be done.
I wonder if Harvest Moon will ever surpass Story of Seasons. SoS was pretty lackluster for the last few releases, although I did quite enjoy PoOT (and not just because it spells poot). That said though, the last few Harvest Moon games were flat out bad, so I don't really have any hope for them. Both series need to take some notes from Stardew Valley.
Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Abso-f******g-lutely YES!!
They did the unthinkable and married their two divisions to massive success. I hope they keep the hybrid model going. At this point, I don't think it is at all controversial to say that the Switch is, without a doubt, the greatest console Nintendo has ever released. The DS and Wii generation was arguably their most successful but, for their games and fans, I think the Switch is Nintendo at it's best. Some franchises are still under represented, or missing entirely, but the Switch is still their GOAT. 🐐

@Nintendancies I came here with the same question. Is the game actually good? NL hasn't reviewed the game, from what I can tell.

@presenttense Same here! I thought Impa and I were friends, but she told me jump to my demise.

I wish I knew the correct order to get the memories. I spoiled the story for myself pretty early...
Re: Nintendo Highlights The History Of Zelda's "Mighty Demon King" Ganondorf
The boss fight in TOTK makes him the best to me. Phase two of that fight was rude in the best way. A stark difference from the boss fight in BOTW.

Re: Suda51's Grasshopper Manufacture Teases 25th Anniversary Announcement
If he is in talks with Marvel, then I NEEEED Suda51 to make a Deadpool game. Travis is basically Deadpool already, so we know he can do it.
Also, I need a Shinobu game. She's had my heart since we got to play as her in NMH2. Sidelining her in NMH3 was pretty disappointing.
