pls make 2 reviews, one for handheld and one for docked. i 100% play my games handheld. seeing that the game got an 8 and a minus was inconsistency of frames in handheld, looks like it’s pretty unplayable.

I don't understand the news about old games. when this became the norm, to wait. Shouldn't they work automatically on a better device? For example, if I upgrade my graphics card from a 3080 to a 4080, I should just be able to launch the game and play at better graphics because my new card is more powerful. Old games should automatically work on new consoles with better graphics.
On PC, you are in charge of unlocking that potential. On consoles, the company is in charge of making it possible in the first place.

Why does the Switch 2 need ports for third-party games? It is more powerful than a Steam Deck, and if the Deck can run a game, why not just let people get it from Steam and tweak the settings as they like? That would be so much easier.

that’s why i play the game on steam deck, it’s relatively easy to mod it, adjust the difficulty and actually enjoy the game. it’s a shame switch 2 is not more open to be able to mod your games.

already play them, no way will got them for that price. they really think they can overprice everything with no shame.

The idea of paying a tax just to play on a better device is crazy. If I have a game that doesn’t run on an old GPU for PC, and then I buy a better GPU, I can’t imagine having to pay an extra tax for that.

It’s not that Nintendo couldn’t have made an OLED version, it’s just that this is the easy way for handhelds these days. They can release a 'Pro' version with an OLED screen in 3-4 years to stay relevant without needing to improve the specs.

Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze were among the few games I couldn’t get into when I first got my Switch. That’s why I skipped Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and why I’m not interested in Donkey Kong’s next game either. What I’d really love to play is a new Xenoblade Chronicles, a remaster of XC2, a sequel to Super Mario Odyssey, a new Luigi’s Mansion, or a new Zelda game.

for me, playing this on steam deck was amazing. especially because i could mod it. and that was 3 years ago. i’m sure it will be great on switch 2 too, but some of you to say it was unplayable on deck just to make it seem that this game is only playable on switch 2 is… ugh.

loved the game on deck, especially because i could mod the game as i wanted, making a more fun experience for a second walkthrough. don’t think i’ll buy it again when my ns2 arrives. that’s what makes steam deck a great handheld for me for third party games, if i own the game on pc, i don’t need to buy it again to try on handheld.

the same principle as steam play together. only one player needs to have the game. i know this cause this is how i played the game with a friend. in this age, when nintendo don’t let you have 2 game saves on some games, there are this guys who basically let you play the game on 2 consoles at the same time.

I played The Witcher 3 on Switch, and a year later on Steam Deck—the difference was night and day. Hopefully, Cyberpunk won’t look like that on Switch 2. What I really like about the Steam Deck is that it retains all the PC settings, so you can tweak them as you please. From what I remember, the Switch version of The Witcher 3 had very few settings compared to the PC version.

No official details of new CPU and GPU yet. so how much ram it will have? i hope at least 16, please no AAA with blurry textures.

it runs great on steam deck, where you can install mods, and tailor every settings to experience the game as you wish. switch 2, being a console, i doubt it will have the liberty you get on steam deck, but we will see, i guess.

Hopefully switch 2 will have 16 gb of ram, so this kind of games to run as good as on deck.

It is normal, after all this leaks happens because Nintendo start to distribute the physical game earlier to a lot of shops. As usual, this will have no impact on the sales.

@Miu so, you pretty much acknowledge that piracy don’t hurt the sales. Like you said, people who don’t have money will not buy the games in the first place, which result in zero sales for devs.

Remember how totk sales were affected after totk was leaked 1 month earlier? Yeah, that didn’t actually happened.
Also, watch how larian are qoing bankrupt becuase they didn’t choose denuvo. No, they are top selling this month.

So, for who exactly is denuvo? For a bunch of suits to pat on the back that they did something just for the sake of it.

I played until i made 100 shrines and finished some quests. I think i will go back in 1-2 year when someone will make that linkle mod for this game and also all the outfits.

Didn’t the game leaked 1-2 weeks earlier? Did it hurt any revenue for nintendo? People who didn’t had money will not have bought in the first place. Those who ban this kind of things will not improve sales. It’s rather silly.
