Got the standard Nintendo one (with screen protector safely installed, like a sensible person). But I was disappointed by how soft it is. Very disappointed actually. Not great protection.
Been trying to decide which one to preorder - I like the neon blue and red, but the grey seems a little more classy. And specifically I can't help but wonder if its not better to have a neutral colour surrounding the screen when playing.
I absolutely hate that PSN auto plays the video. I do not have killer bandwidth and many times I will be sitting for more than 30 seconds staring at a blank screen waiting for a screenshot to load, when suddenly the video starts.
Why the hell is it prioritising auto play over a user request? It's horrible!
I think not. At 20 they could have sold a lot, possibly millions, in that it would have been an easy sell to early Switch adopters with limited choice. Now it's only going to be bought by bomberman fans who also buy a Switch.
Never played a Dragon Quest game. Wanted to try 7, but was put off by the length. My time is limited. Any estimates on how long this one takes to get through?
@Slim1999 , sure, that's true. Was thinking more of the drone of 3rd party devs saying nothing sells on Wii U, when it was bad ports of Mass Effect or Batman or whatever.
That said - the Zelda examples you use were HD remasters. Definitive editions. So they had value. And Mario All stars is evergreen, although I'm not sure what actual number it sold.
I would just hate for Capcom to release a version of Resi 7 a year and a half late, try to flog it for full price, and then say that nothing sells on Switch.
I always think it's sad when the official, legal version does a worse job than the pirate version. And that's the case here for me. With options like Retropie or modding an old Wii, this just seems like a poor option for emulation.
For some reason I thought this was assumed a long time ago - isn't that the Breath of the Wild launch date? Or was that also speculation? Either way I've had the 17th circled in red for ages.

Re: Video: Leafing Through The NES / Famicom Visual Compendium
@Chris77 Oh wow, thanks, that's great info to have
Re: Video: Leafing Through The NES / Famicom Visual Compendium
mmm, would so much rather have hardcover than a book box. Weird choice.
Re: Review: 1-2-Switch (Switch)
Sounds way more like Wii Play than Wii Sports. Sports was great and an actual system seller.
Re: Wii U Hardware Sales Dip Below Xbox One in Japan as Nintendo Switch Looms
Wii U has such a great set of games. Total quality. Very sad to see Nintendo move on, although also excited for Friday!
My Wii U is going no where though, so many games still to play!
Re: Feature: Some of Our Favourite Legend of Zelda Games
Hoping madly for an HD version of Skyward Sword.
Re: Ultra Street Fighter II Is Punching Its Way Onto Switch On 26th May Worldwide
Wow, I was really looking forward to buying it for 9.99, which seemed the only reasonable price point.
Re: SteamWorld Dig 2 is Digging Its Way Onto the Nintendo Switch in Summer
So glad to have more Dig. Just loved the first one. Tried to get into Heist, but it just did not click with me.
Re: Rebellion Is Reviving Rogue Trooper For Nintendo Switch
I always thought it fell apart in the last 3rd.
Also not convinced it will stand up today. It was pretty dated even in 2009. Will need to be more than just a remaster
Re: Nintendo Switch Battery Test Reveals Some Surprising Results
Man, I love video games!
So nice just seeing all those systems together
Re: Here's What The Day One Nintendo Switch System Update Will Do
I will miss the TV remote feature of Wii U. No one really talks about it, but I love it.
Re: Video: Watch Eiji Aonuma Unbox The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Limited Edition
Honestly still pissed that the US gets that great case. would definitely have bought that.
Re: RiME Will Take Around 10 Hours To Complete "If You Really Want To Take Your Time"
perfect! manageable games rise to the top of the backlog.
Re: Gallery: Go On, Feast Your Eyes On The Nintendo Switch Packaging
I love that the Switch is bringing colour back to consoles
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd February (Europe)
so interested in forma.8 , but man this release timing sucks. no point in getting it at all right now for me, but one day hopefully
Re: Guide: Essential Nintendo Switch Accessories
I really think the only essential thing day one is a case.
Re: Go! Go! Kokopolo 3D Will Be Digging Its Claws Into the 3DS eShop Soon
Absolutely loved the original. Completely fantastic, even though it became unforgivingly difficult in the second half.
Re: Video: Nintendo Comes Out Swinging With New ARMS Footage
both Arms and Splatoon have the feeling of a gimmicky toy-line from the late 80's or early 90's.
and I love it.

All I want from Jason VandenBerghe is Red Steel 3.
Re: Video: New Extended Nintendo Switch Trailer Showcases Launch Window
funny, pretty sure most of that was shot in Cape Town, recognised a lot of the locations.
Also - 1-2 Switch is looking worse and worse to me. Seeing actors pretend to enjoy it makes me a little sad.

Any thoughts?
Re: Talking Point: The Nintendo 3DS, A System That Still Has a Role to Play
I wonder how long it will be before tech improvments will allow for a truly portable Switch mini?

Re: Feature: 10 Intriguing Third-Party Nintendo Switch Games for Your Wishlist
the price on Isaac is as ridiculous to me as the price for Bomberman. Are these games all going to price themselves to death?
That said there is a surprising amount on this list that is of interest to me, at the right price.
Re: Nicalis Seemingly Confirms 1001 Spikes And Cave Story For Switch, Then Deletes Post
I have 0 interet in Issac. Tried on PS+ and found little fun or enjoyment in it.
Cave Story though is probably my most bought game, and I will probably get it again here

@Anti-Matter now I want that too!
Re: Gallery: New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Screenshots Look Pretty Fresh
I love the game but am absolutely not buying it again at full price. Especially with paywall multiplayer.
Wii U owners should somehow be able to upgrade cheaply, but that would only be remotely possible with one of those newfangled unified account systems.
Re: Book Review: Hardcore Gaming 101 Presents: The Guide To Shoot-Em-Ups Volume 1
I wish the layouts were a little better. And especially that they would drop the page borders, it's such wasted space.

Re: Hardware Review: Hyperkin SupaBoy S
What a terrible decision that screen is. Absolutely no interest with that.
DIY Retropie remains the best option fro classic gaming, even if it is naughty. I really wish someone would come up with a great legit option.
