In exciting news for fans of Image & Form, it was confirmed in the Nindies Showcase that SteamWorld Dig 2 is coming first to Nintendo Switch - the target release window is Summer this year.
This time around you play as Dorothy, and the core gameplay of the original has been enhanced with more dangers and moves (like mounted attacks), and what looks to be a huge world to explore.

This was a nice surprise. I loved the first one, so I'll definitely be picking this one up.
WOOT WOOT looks really good and much less basic than the original which while fun brought nothing new to the table.

Awesome! I love the first Dig game, and have probably played it like twenty times. Since this basically looks like a more action-heavy version of the first one, I have no doubt that it will get as much attention from me.

I would have preferred a Heist sequel or a new concept from Image and Form (because they've shown to be very versatile when it comes to different game genres), but Dig 2 is sure to be a treat as well. Looking forward to it.
I'm kind of mixed between emotions. I'm happy for a sequel to dig but kind of disappointed that they didn't have a new concept.
What!?!?! What a stunning surprise!!!! The first is one of my favorite games!!!! Suddenly I got so impatient, that it hurts.
Yeah, the Heist was refreshing concept and fantastic game, but digging never gets old, and the first one left huge urge to dig some more. Hopefully this is longer game. I dug the first one in couple of sessions.
