This is the worst clickbait I've seen on Nintendolife. Really embarrassing fro what is normally a pretty good site.

Worse, its been called out by multiple users in the comments, yet the normally active staff are nowhere to be seen.

That header looks like 3 kids who never touched a 3DS before the shoot, and one kid waiting for it to be over so he can facepalm harder then he's ever facepalmed before.

Consumers would realise very quickly that Switch is different from the 3DS when they see how much it costs!

As a dad with limited access to the TV, I love that in a sense its a Super Wii U: with off -tv play that has a far superior looking screen and can go anywhere. But unless they can make the portable aspect compelling in terms of gameplay, many users will be paying a lot for hardware they will never use. In other words there could be a far cheaper model that is just a standard console and would give you living room access to the same games.

Which is to say that in terms of cost /value for many users, its even worse than Wii U, because the screen has no purpose at all if you're playing on the TV.

I've not bothered with it yet. Nintendo's poor profile management has made it too frustrating for me to bother.

Back before they had any online presence in South Africa I created a UK account. I now have a South African account as well . So all of my old games were bought and registered on my UK account, the UK account is still the active one on my 3DS, because otherwise I would lose all of my save games. I also still use my UK profile to play games on my Wii U so that all of my saves are on one account and I don't need to think about where I played what.

But Nintendo is unable to unify these accounts without me losing access to some of my games (they tell me), and all of my 3ds saves. So, er, no thanks.

Could still just register one for My Nintendo, but kind of lost interest after all that. There's nothing much compelling about it anyway.

@yomanation Good times my Project 64 obsessions were Ocarina of Time and Extreme G.

I had near perfect N64 emulation running on my old Pentium 3 back in 2001.

It was actually how I got back into gaming toward the end of a few years of not being able to afford anything game related.

@JacquesLecornu Not sure about retail, just imagined it would be cheaper, more in line with Gunvolt (which I will now get first )

I eventually caved and got Steamworld Heist on a PSN sale. I must say I got bored very quickly. Which is a shame, since I thought Steamworld Dig was incredible. Heist seems like a good game, all the bits are there, I just couldn't get into it.

I was interested in River City, but damn that's a bit pricey...

That's a great one, although I must admit that I prefer Thunderforce 4, possibly because of the spectacle, rather than the gameplay actually being better.

I remember always being amazed that this service existed. And was slightly jealous of those that could use it, since it was not available where I live , at least not without international call rates.

What a shame . I'd love to get a suitable game for my 2yr old. She's dying to play, but when I let her hold the controller she mainly just dies. Pokken tournament in practice mode is good though.

Not nearly enough mention of Metal Arms. Utterly fantastic. Have always wished for a sequel. Personal favorite game played on GameCube.

Admittedly I played resi 4 and the prime games on Wii

The Adventure s of Rad Gravity! If someone else doesn't do something about that, I just might. It's an amazing and forgotten gem of a game!

Worth getting any way you can though. One of my favorite games this year.

Anyone not licencing assets is not being very smart. Especially Indies. Unity has three major drawcards. It's free to start, it has an awesome community, and the asset store. This is now true for several other platforms as well.

As for quality? The market dictates what can survive.

I would love to get it on Wii U, but its so cheap on PS now its going to be hard to justify, until its on a very good sale.

I must admit that I am surprised by the positivity here. With a fixed set of games I just don't see the point.

I hope the point and click uses the gamepad screen. Will be much more immediate and fun than using a stick

Let us not forget that theWii U version was broken and underdeveloped. The 3ds version just sucked.

Resident Evil Revelations 1 was pretty good, and 2 is one of my top two Resistors games.

I enjoyed Sonic Lost World more than any Sonic game since the Mega Drive.

I was so looking forward to Codename STEAM, but the characters really irritated me in the demo, to the point that I felt no urge to play it at all.

Personally I think the controls are great. Really fun and unique

I'm absolutely loving the game. Its so ridiculously intense. I find the experience to be unlike anything else I've played.

Man, Excitebots! Its the game that made me most angry about region locking. I wanted it so badly.

I will be very sad to not have a second screen available. As a guy with a family, much of my gaming is on the gamepad screen, while Sarah and Duck is being watched on the TV

Read 'Space Monster Hunter' and realised that I would love to see that.

Difficult to answer that second question. It's not that the hardware is bad, it just seems entirely pointless to me.

The one game I would truly live to see in HD is Sin and Punishment 2. I think it would really improve a game that is already on my best ever list.

But how many ways is it not like Wipeout or Extreme G? Because thats a little less obvious
