Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Game Updates and DLC Are Fantastic, Albeit Starved of Attention

buildz

Something like DLC would work really well for Splatoon. Not for weapons, but for additional single player content. I would happily pay £3-5 for another 5 levels to be added to the game, in a "DLC World". This model could be sustained for 10 months, with a new "world" coming out every 2 months. Would add some replayability to the single player, apart from getting all the scrolls and fully upgrading your player.

@Ichiban Welp, at least our console doesn't break the bank, compromise FPS for 1080p graphics or only just introduce backwards compatibility 2/3 years after launch.

I can agree though - these are going to be absolutely terrible. I would do the poop emoji, but that's not allowed.

Re: Poll: Where Do You Stand on Miiverse and Its Planned Changes?

buildz

I don't know why people are so up in arms about this redesign. Those who are complaining are the cause of the redesign - it being used for other things apart from talking about Nintendo design. Me? I like it a lot - especially the Play Journal. It's great that I can take things like milestones in games and keep them in a "diary" of sorts.

Props to Nintendo for continuing to make Miiverse good.

And this is why I'm glad it's harder to publish in PAL regions. Keep this stuff away from the UK eShop!

Actually, "Tested with Robots !" made it through, but, I'm sure Nintendo will/have remove/removed it.

Re: Super Mario Maker Arrives This September With amiibo Support In Tow

DBPirate, no, it isn't.

I'm REALLY happy the book comes regardless if you get a normal/special version. realizing it now, the movies [the books unlocks via the code in the bottom corner of each picture showing that image in motion] come regardless [they add to the size of the game] because the book MUST come no matter what (excluding digital).

This is already better than that pile of pickled pearl onions (Did someone edit this? I would never say "pickled pearl onions".) they did for his 20th.

HYPE

EDIT1: That book looks to be a nice hard cover. Nice, they're putting effort into it.
EDIT2: 100 PAGES?! Wow.
EDIT3: Liking the yellow box for the game. It'll stand out from all my blue games [and one green from NSLU].

Re: Feature: Nintendo Franchises We Want to See at E3 - Kid Icarus

buildz

I'm not the biggest fan on Kid Icarus. I've played the first one, and I really liked it. I'd prefer a game similar to the old, hard as nails, platformer than this on-rails shooter. Nintendo could make a really beautiful 2.5D platformer with maybe some on-rails sections (50-50 for each type) and then appeal to people like me and then those who enjoyed Uprising.

I can hope.
