Not too long ago Nintendo announced a promotional partnership with Facebook for Super Mario Maker. Beyond the PR-friendly Hackathon - in which Facebook employees designed levels, with the winner to be included in the game - it's a smart move, as potential marketing deals and promotion with Facebook will certainly be useful for the Wii U game.

That's all - hopefully - to come, but the actual Hackathon has taken place. Nintendo of America has released some promotional shots of smiling Facebook employees playing the game; they sure are happy. Nintendo Treehouse member Corey Olcsvary and Bill Trinen also pop up.

It'll be interesting to see whether this tie-in with Facebook will boost awareness around the exciting level-creation game, but in the meantime you can gawk at the official snaps below.
