Just pre-ordered my Gamecube controller! I thought it was invite only, but it seems that everyone with NSO + EP can pre-order it now.

Personally I got bored of the destruction just by looking at the treehouse videos, also I don't like a lot of the colours (especially that yellow/pink/purple level). I'm hoping to see more before release! the cart and 2d section look promising.

Knowing myself, this is probably the first game I'll play on Switch 2! Followed by F-Zero GX.

Leaves instead of fur? This DK redesign is even worse than what we had seen before.

@johnedwin the reason for the trade imbalance is that importing goods is often cheaper than producing them in the US. By increasing tariffs, foreign goods will become more expensive in the US. Where is the rip off?

Presumably it's a way to incentivise people to buy Switch 2 games instead and there will be a similar scheme on Switch 2 only.

I'm sure they will make a bigger effort on Switch 2 - they will start from FC 25 and double the frame rate all the way to 60 fps.

Forza Horizon 5 is probably the only game that makes me want to buy an XSX. I would love to have it on Switch 2! Ideally with a dedicated Xbox-style controller for Switch 2.

I only used the Japanese e-shop once to buy Virtua Racing when it was a Japan exclusive, but I'll miss it if the same situation happens again!

I was waiting for a good offer and that precious cleaning cloth from Currys convinced me to pre-order.

To put things into perspective, the Steam Deck has sold less than 5 million units, the ROG Ally less than 1 million and the Legion Go even less than the ROG Ally.
The Switch has sold more than 146 million units.

It's about time! It seems to work very well too. This week's announcements probably mean that Switch 2 won't be announced soon.

Nintendo definitely knew that someone would leak it, they probably wanted to test the level of interest for this sort of game and at the same time start spreading the word so that it doesn't fail at launch (or if reactions are overly negative, it might not launch at all).

Europe - I've always loved the design of the ship, and in Italy the box was black, not blue.
The boss in the American version looks like cheap CGI.

Disappointed that it looks like the original, just with a higher resolution. Also it's annoying that it releases after the holidays. Day one for me anyway.

My limited budget at the time didn't allow me to buy Extreme G as I already had F-Zero X and Wipeout 64. Looking forward to playing it tonight!

I don't follow the gaming market closely enough, but are all those companies actually declining in revenue/profit? or are they laying people off just because they can?

@Reprise exactly this. Most people here would be happy with a Rare Replay Nintendo edition which would include all the other games released by Rare on Nintendo platforms, even without the Xbox 360 games. The fact that the X360 games would be difficult to port is irrelevant because they wouldn't be necessary. But it's not going to happen anyway.

I'm convinced that Rare Replay will never come to Switch. Nintendo won't allow the release of so many good games for a cheap price when they can drip feed those games through NSO/remasters, maximising returns with as little effort as possible.

Such a shame, it's a great game and I personally bought 2 copies (had to buy it on PS4 to appreciate the better graphics). In October the excessive price and the release date too close to Mario Wonder were definitely huge factors, but in the following months there were good discounts and a strong marketing push (at least in the UK).

I don't like the art style but the game seems very promising!

Unfortunately I really can't get into turn based combat, which is a shame because I like everything else about this game - graphics, sound, style, humour.

Custom joy cons with d-pad instead of the buttons. Not as satisfying a real d-pad but good enough!
I would prefer the SNES controller but don't want to lose the rumble.

I saw one last week! The screens inside Westfield are showing ads regularly, and I saw another ad on Instagram. The marketing budget for this game must be pretty big!
