Presumably it's the result of all the negativity online and the low marketing budget. It's a shame as I'm really enjoying the game.

I like this game for 2 reasons.
First because it's great (I gave it a 9) and second because these days it's rare to see Nintendo releasing a game that is not just aimed at casual audiences / party game / Mario sports / Pokemon etc.
Now if only we could have a new F-Zero, Starfox, Wave Race, Eternal Darkness that would be great.

Superstars was really good, 2.43m isn't too bad but I wish it had sold more.

A 3D platformer is exactly the type of game where I can accept 30fps, especially if it's not a fast paced game. Last year I played Mario Sunshine after a long time and still loved it.

@Jack_Goetz true but they are all taken in handheld mode, the only docked one is a menu. Definitely not a good way to show what this game looks like.

In the end I got it physical for £50. I feel a bit robbed but the games are both still amazing.

Presumably this was a conscious but risky marketing / branding decision by Genki. How many here knew them before? I definitely didn't. The settlement amount is undisclosed so we have no idea if the decision paid off.

I was hoping for Wave Race: Blue Storm this August but clearly that's not happening 😕

I remember reading about Bubsy in the magazines at the time, I always thought it was a well designed character and the graphics looked nice. I finally played the first game a few years ago and unfortunately didn't like it :/

This is my favourite and most played game on Switch 2, although it has some flaws. On the plus side, it motivated me to try Fast RMX on Switch 2 and it looks better than ever!

Anyone who plays F-Zero GX a bit more seriously will notice increased heaviness / delay / sensitivity.
A CRT TV is not a good option for everyone, some people don't have enough space at home and the higher resolution improves image quality anyway.
Nintendo should just fix this.

In case anyone is wondering, in performance mode this runs at locked 60 fps on Switch 2. The NSO Gamecube controller works as expected, including the analog triggers.

I don't like most of the actions and I don't like most of the locations. But I can see I'm in a small minority.

it would be nice if Nintendo fixed the input lag / bad stick calibration in the Gamecube emulator, F-Zero GX was already hard enough in its original form.

pre-ordered some time ago, Nintendo took the payment today.

True that the HUD is 4K but the rest has a lower resolution. They did mention a mixed 4K/1080p mode, but in a trailer I would expect them to show the highest quality.

Of course they started working on it as soon as MK8DX was done, and Switch 2 was too far at the time. The success of MK8DX meant that there was no rush to release a new one and they ended up moving it to Switch 2. They could have waited even longer, MKW will probably cannibalise some of MK8 sales.

I guess the number of tracks explains the low price, maybe they really wanted to release it on launch day so they had to focus on other things.

I'm surprised by all the graphics modes at 60. Fast RMX had 60 fps locked and variable resolution, which would be the perfect approach here too in my opinion.

Pre-ordered some time ago anyway.

Personally I got bored of the destruction just by looking at the treehouse videos, also I don't like a lot of the colours (especially that yellow/pink/purple level). I'm hoping to see more before release! the cart and 2d section look promising.

Knowing myself, this is probably the first game I'll play on Switch 2! Followed by F-Zero GX.
