Physical games don't exist any more. Even if the Game Gear games were in the disk they game would probably miss some updates etc. Also, SEGA will most likely add Sonic 3D, Sonic Spinball and possibly Knuckles' Chaotix and the Master System versions and may offer a Sonic Origins Complete physical.

I have three physical versions of FF15 and no version has the full game. From the PS4 era and beyond physical versions are obsolete and bad for game preservation.

Edit: As others mentioned SEGA probably had the disks ready from when the first version was released and held back to release a move complete package with more value. Also, the 10 euro update won't be up for preorder. I guess you can buy the physical version and use the Game Gear download code for the digital version.

This article makes no sense. The Project Q is nothing like the Wii U or the Vita remote play. The Wii U uses propetarely connection for lag free gaming. The Vita could also use something similar, the WiFi connection was optional and needed only when the Vita and the PS4 did not face each other. I played both of them with no WiFi in the house. In fact you don't even need an internal connection at all!

You cannot easily compare hardware sales of portable systems to home systems, the portable is a more personal device in a house, like a mobile phone, for example. I think many have more than one Switch, I have a launch model and a Lite one. It is true that I also have two PS2s but I bought the second because the first had hardware issues, there is no way I would get a second one. Also, you could say that some people might have both a PS4 and a PS4 Pro but I think it is way more common to have only one. And don't get me started on the DS. I have one of each major iteration of the thing!

I love the Game Gear Sonic games and they are a cool addition. However, you would think that the Mega Drive versions of Spinball and 3D would be added first.

@Banjo- The Game Gear games are identical, content wise, with the Master System games. However, in Game Gear the games' screen was zoomed thus making them more difficult and adding "leap of faith" situations. Also, some auto scroll stages are slightly different. I think that they will add both versions but advertise the Game Gear since it was more popular in all regions, except Europe and Brazil maybe.

I randomly bought Atelier Rorona, the original not DX version, for my PS3 in the bargain bin a lot of years ago and fell in love with the series. I had the Iris trilogy in the PS2 but those games were somewhat different. Since then I have played all the atelier games and I have the platinum trophy in all except Ayesha DX and Sophie 2. I am waiting to play Ryza 3 later this week!

Maybe they will add Sonic 3D or some Game Gear or Master System games? Or Knuckles Chaotix?

A Professor Layton game will make me open my Switch again... It is been months since I played in it!

@mikegamer You can easily install emulators in retail mode. That is how I have done it. You do not lose access to your retail games this way. MS does not promote it but does not ban you if you do it. It basically is like windows, you can install whatever you want.

@TruthisRare I have a Series S, that is my first Xbox actually and love it. This is where I played Twin Snakes last time. What I would love is if the community makes some frontend like emulation station like the Steam Deck community has done.

I don't think Nintendo has any intention to offer GameCube games in the Switch. They will simply release ports of their first party games like Metroid Prime and Wind Waker and ask 60€ for them.

Other popular games like Resident Evil series have already ports.

A game I miss is Twin Snakes though. The MGS fans seem to hate this game but I love it.
If you want to play GameCube games natively on the cheap use a Wii and homebrew.

Most of the games are part of the Rare Replay game and they are better preserved there that having them in an Online service with expiration date.

As what I would prefer I never played DK64 so U choose this. To be fair, as already mentioned in the comments, some gamed feel somewhat dated.

WHAT I preordered the PS4 50 euro collection because this was supposed to be a physical only release... I should have just waited... Or resell my copy when it arrives since I don't think I can cancel... The shipping date will the March 23 instead of October 22 for some reason...

Since I got my Steam Deck I have got zero games for my Switch and cancelled my NSO sub. I simply cannot go back and to be honest I was never a big fan of the Switch. It seemed like a Mattel toy and did not have the usual Nintendo hardware top build quality. I got drift very fast and the console stops charging randomly. They joy cons sort of rattle when I attach them. Also, it has corrosion for some reason and no other electronic I have had ever this problem.

What baffles me is why the games starring Apollo are stuck in the 3ds. I would love to see them and play them again in modern platforms... As for the list Turnabout Serenade is very boring having to watch the same bad video over and over again. And in the Great Ace Attorney I didn't like the jury system that much. Seemed like a way to make the game artificially longer.

Also there one or two twists in the end of Apollo Justice that were abandoned in the next games.

When we had the Wii U VC we said why pay for all those games again. put them in a subscription. Now we say the selection of games is limited let us buy the games we want... Or we can do it like Sony that announces that you can either subscribe or buy the games without releasing any...

I don't think I will renew next month but mostly because I don't have time to play online atm. It seems like they stopped putting new games, excluding n64 games, I would love if they introduced more systems since they ran out of n64 games.

I don't get it. NOBODY CARES for history YouTube trailers and concept art. You now how to celebrate 30 years of history? Finally release games from the Mega Drive and PlayStation era digitally on all modern platforms!!! And also change Sonya Blade to how she is supposed to look in MK11. How did they make such an iconic character look so dump?

The only modern digital store that classic MK are available is GOG and they play via dos box? I don't really know, they look inferior to the PlayStation versions. There were also on Steam but I think they were delisted. There are workarounds you have to do to make them play in a modern windows system and they obviously don't work on Steam Deck.

Castlevania Requiem is not available in Xbox, nor it will be available anywhere else. It was funded by Sony and it uses an in house created PSP emulator. In any case it is strange that there is no Switch (or PC official) version.

The XBLA version is bugged for me. I have beaten the game multiple times and no achievement was ever unlocked.

@MrBelmont In the Xbox it has been available for ages for 14.34 euros, a semi bizarre price but cheaper. The strange think is that the publisher is ... Microsoft Studios!

Seems to be a totally new entry even though I would love Ryza 3 or even a game to end the Dusk saga. Also, I would love a PS5 cross buy version they did it sith Ryza 2 but not with Sophie 2 for some reason. As for the charger stuff I have the European versions of NES Classic, SNES Classic, PlayStation Classic and Mega Drive Mini and NEITHER of them has a charger only a generic micro USB cable.

@Anguspuss In Greece we have since the good old days of the euro crisis 24% vat in most goods and only companies do not pay vat for some goods. I have heard cases from people that have small companies buying PS5 for the "company" without paying vat! The situation is crazy. In mobile phone bills we have 24% vat + another 12% on top of it! Same for tv channels with subscription.

@Dimey Oh I did not know it. You are right, seems amazon always shows the full price... I simply stopped buying from amazon.co.uk after the Brexit! Still due to currency conversion to euro I think it was a bit cheaper to order from a eurozone country.

Some other shops show the pricing for me after I try to check out. I remember wanting to buy a 60 euro Anbernic handheld but after shipping, import, customs etc. it ended up about 110 euros and I did not buy it.

I just ordered on at amazon.de since the uk store will charge import and custom fees. I have about 45 days or so to decide if I will keep or cancel the preorder since amazon charges you when it sends it.

Oh man I wanted a Mega Drive one but they made the 6-button version. I ended up getting the retrobit one that has an adapter for the OG Mega Drive but it needs a USB adapter to connect to the PC.

This piece of junk never worked for me as advertised anyway. You would have to be very lucky for it to work.

I am not that interested in this series but am I the only one that thinks that this is a missed opportunity to sell a physical trilogy with all three games in a 3 card pack?

@Ralizah Or some may say "no physical version=no buy", "I already played it", "the switch port is downgraded", "I will play them on game pass for free", etc. To be honest I am guilty of this too in other ports, I always end up playing the PS4 versions.

In a more serious tone I never got why they remake P3P and not FES that has the extra story...

If the game was coming next year Switch and/or PS4 and XB1 versions should be available but the game is years away. The next generation of consoles will be easier to find and buy and a game of this scope should not have old hardware as target platforms.

Unpopular opinion: I don't like this game like at all. I got it near release. I always found the story dull and the gameplay very boring. I never felt any horror elements. The supposed sanity meter plays a small role since most of the times you can simply outrun the enemies. Releasing so close to the remake of Resident Evil didn't help either.

To be honest I don't care if they change some songs. I just want the games to run well and I will love them to include the 8-bit versions as dlc. I have already preordered the game...

I don't remember any first party Nintendo game having more than 33% discount... Sony seems to have adopted this too for PS5 games...

I don't understand the point of this article. SF6 may be released on a hypothetical Switch 2? And suddenly it is a bad thing we have exclusives? I thought exclusives sell consoles... Maybe then we have no problem with a PS4 version of Zelda or an x-box version of Spiderman? Sony paid for the development of SF5 so they got the game, what's the big deal, Sony has done this many times, Nintendo has done it etc...

@Kisame83 I tried but I ended up paying way inflated prices about one or two pounds more. I guess because my credit card is in euros, and I pay for the currency exchange. I bought only one or two games.
