Hmm, I think a have a couple-hundred gold coins burning a hole in my eShop wallet? I'll have to give a look later today.
19th June... thought as much. As I said elsewhere, I'm already fresh out of VG funds until the 22nd, so doesn't seem like I'll be making use of this sale.
These sales always happen right after I bought what I wanted because I am like "well no way this is going on sale soon" just to find out that i should have waited like a week more.
Direct confirmed lol
dark sooouuuuullls. i've gone thru every souls like metroidvania on switch so i think i'm ready for the additional dimension
Here's hoping for a Binding of Isaac discount. I've been waiting ages for that game to have a discount. 40 Euros is a bit steep for a game that age
Hope SMTV dlc will also be discounted
Direct probability +500%
If there’s a Nintendo switch sale then Mario and rabbids has to be included. It’s a great game and I bought it day 1 and the dlc. Nintendo switch sale means Mario and rabbids
@1UP_MARIO Also Rayman Legends haha.
If there was ever a time to get Splatoon 2, it's now. If you've been interested in it for the longest time but never bit the bullet on it, I'd highly recommend you pick it up, easily one of my favourite Switch games.
I don't remember any first party Nintendo game having more than 33% discount... Sony seems to have adopted this too for PS5 games...
These sales are great and as long as you’re willing to wait there’s absolutely no reason to pay full price for any digital game.
@Fizza Isnt its online pretty much dead because everyones waiting for Splatoon 3?
Dark Souls on sale? finally!
Really hope NOA follows suit.
@relinqued while I probably wouldn't buy 2 now, I have no problems finding matches daily.
@relinqued im teaching in china now, so maybe im closer to the japanese servers, but it is never dead. jump on at 4am and there are tons of people.
@relinqued you can still find games in splatoon 1 regularly
@IronMan30 @SoManyHaveDied @1UP_MARIO
thats great to know thanks guys
Why is Celeste never on sale... 😩 Been on my wishlist for years
@Clyde_Radcliffe Hasn't been on sale in Europe since march 2020... if you want it, you probably will have to buy it full price.
NL needs to stop using that image of a switch with swapped out joy con shells that cost a few quid from Ali Express. Yes, it's obvious it's someone at NL's switch, they needed a picture, so they took one instead of getting a stock photo. Surely they could have taken an image with standard shells for professionalism?
@relinqued Online seems very good st the moment. Probably people practicing for when 3 comes out.
I don't know how well 3 will sell though, especially if it doest move far forward from 2. This could hurt online for both games.
@Kineas come on, lol.
I'm glad you found something to complain about yet again, though.
@Clyde_Radcliffe just buy it! It’s good, but you’ve waited so long that it probably won’t live up to your expectations.
@Magician Be aware that gold points expire. You can check the exact amount of about-to-expire gold coins on Nintendo’s website.
@simevidas Yup, I'm aware. Thank you though.
@Fizza I can't play online because of my horrible internet connection. It's it still fun in singleplayer?
@Kineas Totally agreed that picture has completely ruined my day I am furious
@garfreek If you're able to get Octo Expansion alongside it, it's utterly fantastic. My advice would be to play the single player campaign (Octo Valley) first then once you're done with that, head on over to Octo Expansion. It's some of the best level design in a Nintendo-published Switch game honestly.
@Kineas
Very nice. It's my Birthday this Friday so I'll definitely check it out.
@relinqued No it's online isn't even remotely dead. I can find matches just as easily as several years ago. Why would everyone just stop playing it when the sequel isn't even out yet?
Everybody should play the Link’s Awakening remake if they haven’t already. Just saying. It’s so well-made, just perfect.
Here, I rewrote the headline for you.
"(Europe Only) Nintendo's 'Super Sale' Slashes The Price Of Over 1500 Games This Thursday"
@BTB20 Because thats how it usually is for fighting games, where I come from. If a new Anime fighter gets announced, the current one is completely shallow and empty.
Another big sale that doesn't appear to be in America! Yay...
@relinqued Well with shooters the previous games still keep an active playerbase years later. Splatoon 1 still has many people playing it.
It'll be a case of scrolling my wishlist and seeing what is discounted there first. I have all the ones listed above already bar Dark Souls Remastered.
Sigh... none of these are games I really want, except for Skywalker Saga and that's got the tiniest discount of the lot.
@belmont ps5 games aren't as old as the few first party Nintendo games that go on sale
@Would_you_kindly Yes, that is my point that first party ps5 games won't be heavily discounted from now on regardless of how old they are...
@belmont have to wait & see if in a few years the maximum Sony will discount ps5 games like returnal & ratchet is 33% then yeah
@Fizza I'm definitely checking it out then, thanks!!!
I'm hoping for a price cut on Kirby Fighters 2 already. It's never been on sale, and it's a bit expensive at 20 euros for me. But I want to get it, I have every Kirby game ever, other than that one.
...Okay, I don't have the Satellaview ones or the e-Reader card, but be reasonable.
y0, Castlevania Advanced Collection 3.99.
The stealiest steal of all steals.
Edit: Oopsie. DekuDeals lied for a second. I swear it said Advanced.
@Krisi : Nintendo's handful of eShop exclusives are indeed quite expensive. I did eventually cave and download Good Job and The Stretchers on sale, but a physical double-pack would have been preferable (and I would double-dip without question), and perhaps they could have issued a HAL Laboratories double pack with both Kirby Fighters 2 and BoxBoy + BoxGirl on a single cart.
@relinqued : waiting for LRG to announce a physical release and pay more than 10 times the sale price in 2023 and to have it delivered in 2024
If you like old school survival horror games (Resident Evil 1-3/Silent Hill etc.), I recommend Tormented Souls.
It's on sale right now, but I can't give you the price as it just says "purchased" as I already own the game.
But a pretty excellent game IMO.
Anything Supergiant Games would be an automatic buy if I didn't already own all of them, and some on multiple platforms.
Also still holding hope to see if we get a June direct.
I just snagged Mario + Rabbids (Gold Edition) at an all time low.
@relinqued That’s the Anniversary collection…still a steal but will probably be a while yet till the Advance one gets close as cheap 😔
@relinqued aghh I hate you it's not the advance collection
Oopsie, I could have sworn it said Advance Collection on DekuDeals lol
@Kineas
I don’t think they ‘need’ to do anything as nobody aside from you camera in the slightest
I have Doom Eternal on Series X so why am I so tempted to get it on Switch to see how it runs and occasionally play on the go? It doesn’t make sense and yet…..
Nice, I can definitely recommend Juiced!
Great retro 2d platformer.
AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES is at it's lowest price ever in Europe at 7.99 €
@electrolite77 Don't do it. Doom Eternal is just not worth the money.
@electrolite77 It performs really really well on Switch; if you loved it on Xbox and fancy replaying it on the go it definitely does the job as good as you could expect. I got it for both Xbox One and Switch and the Switch version would be my go to any day just for the portability.
@BreathingMiit I wouldn’t say not worth the money but compared to the original…yeah. Doesn’t come close. I absolutely adored 2016 (it sits pretty comfortably up for there as my favourite FPS of all time) but Eternal, while still very good, definitely fell short in a number of ways for me.
Anything for NA ?
@Fizza
I have honestly been contemplating buying it for the single player stuff since it just seems so solid, but since that’s the only part that has my interest I find the price a bit steep even on sale.. Wish I could just buy octo-expansion by itself even if that makes no sense, haha. I’ll probably wait for splatoon 3 for the multiplayer if I’m feeling like it.
Not listed here is Shin Megami Tensei V for £33. Don't think that's been in the 33% off sale before. Definitely worth it if you haven't got it already. Big game.
Come on NoA..you know we here in Murica like to protest, don't make us get our torches and pitchforks with extended magazines out.
Seems like Hamster never put anything in these sales anymore. It’s a pity as I have about 40 SNK/arcade archive games on my wish list waiting for the day they go on sale. I’ve already bought 50+ and many at £6 per game which is way too much compared to Capcom Stadium etc. So come on Hamster! If you want to make money, get onboard with these sales!
@NintendoWife if they announce oracle of ages/seasons reboot in the same styles at the next direct I will literally throw cash at my switch until it appears on my screen
@Tread2814 Oh yes please!!
Kaze and the wild masks (well reviewed 2D donkey Kong country type game with great platforming and was well reviewed (8 or 9 out of 10 on Nintendo Life I believe.)
Well I found it on like page 40 of the deals on the eshop? So... easy to miss. It's finally £9 down from like £27 it launched at.
I picked that up. You should too! :]
https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-games/Kaze-and-the-Wild-Masks-1930745.html
I bought Mortal Combat ultimate at a 50% discount, not bad not bad.
Shelled out for Ace Attorney and Danganronpa to give them a try, unfortunately my purse is now seriously hurting!
@Clyde_Radcliffe @neufel It’s on sale!!
Where are the NA discounts? Is it very difficult to make these discounts to both parties at the same time?
@Clyde_Radcliffe Just a heads up, Celeste is finally on sale!!! Absolute steal at £4.49
@Pillowpants I have Binding of Isaac in my Steam account and my wife in her Steam account.
I have 310 hours of gameplay and I have 14%.
She has 623 hours of gameplay and she has 32%.
This game is worth every penny! There is not a single game on this planet with as much content as Binding of Isaac.
Every time you play, completely new things happen, new rooms, new items, new synergies. Even after 600 hours of gameplay, the game released less than half of the items and powers you can have...and i´m saying we have 400+ itens/powers unlocked. It's insane!!!
Infinite Replay value, single or co-op!
@electrolite77 DOOM Eternal is fantastic on Switch, I have every NintenDOOM available on Switch and they’re all awesome, currently playing through Eternal’s DLC.
Taiko No Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun is an absolute no brainer if you haven't played it already.
@JokerCK You'd think a multi billion dollar mega corporation could do something...so simple eh? I know they need to take their 20% since they cease and desist everything to make sure nobody makes a penny off them...so why no sales Nintendough America??
I've got The Somnium Files, both Thomas Was Alone and Solitaire Conspiracy (2 € each, for the first time ever), Celeste, Labirynth City and some more. Great sale. And yesterday found out Life is Strange 3 was 50% off in a shop nearby — got that as well.
Any chance of this sale actually coming to North America? Getting sick of missing out on first party deals that Europe gets 90% of the time, and when we do get first party deals it's usually the same 5-6 games everytime whereas Europe has seen most if not all of the first party Nintendo games go on-sale at some point. 😑
@RubyCarbuncle is it any good without the drum controller?
I've always been interested but not having the drums really sound like it would take away a lot from tge experience.
@dBackLash Yeah it plays fine with the joy cons but it can be tiring though especially when playing some of the tunes on hard or extreme difficulty. Apart from that go for it.
Just picked up Street Fighter 30th Anniversary for less than a fiver using my Gold Points. I have fond memories of Street Fighter 2 on SNES and Alpha2 on Saturn.
Just spent my last voucher on shredder's revenge
@The_Trooper49 @GeekSleeves Thanks so much for letting me know about the Celeste sale! I actually noticed myself and the game is incredible and has already exceeded my expectations. I'm currently on level 3 feel really invested in the story which is rare for me!
Every time I see this article, I become very excited until I see the (Europe) at the end. Every. Single. Time.
Dear Nintendolife, any issues with your partner offering discounted eShop credit? Not been able to make more than one transaction. Contacted their support to be told it was my bank. Contacted my bank to be told it was the merchant. It looks like the merchant.
@Clyde_Radcliffe
Celeste is on sale 75% off till June 20th
@GeekSleeves have The same problem
But now Everything works fine
Dunno what It was
@Tangerine same Here
@Clyde_Radcliffe now it is
Just when I thought I'd finally save some money... I can't resist a sale.
