Everything in the new games seems generic and bland. I am tired of the franshise to be honest. After White/Black the series is not as good as it used to be. Sun/Moon have very slow unskippable cutescenes, the worst framerate I have seen on an AAA title, hold your hand way too much and look like a pixelated mess. Surely if you make it in the end or post game the game is more enjoyable but still... Anyway I am not interested in Lets go, I will wait to see what they will offer next.
I really don't understand why selling a console cheaper is bad for the consumer. Seriously why is it so bad to buy the console 20-30 euros cheaper? Saving money is never a bad thing and I always buy from the cheapest shop I can find.
Also I can't understand why Nintendo does not set a price in the eurozone. It is legal and retailers can sell at their loss if they want. For example PS4 was 399 or 409 at launch in the eurozone depending on local taxes. Vita was 249 everywhere.
To be honest I have played a lot of those years ago on other systems (some have been "free" for Playstation Plus). The switch really needs more exclusives.
I really like Gone Home. It may be a bit more expensive than it should but it has an interesting story. Broforce and all those 2 player games are not for me. Velocity is great! I too got bored of Undertale towards the end and getting the Platinum trophy way before the final boss gives you less incentive to go on.
You forgot Alwa's Awakening that is also console exclusive
I have suggested in Push Square comments that this is an HD port of Rondo of Blood but I would prefer an emulated version funded by Sony. This means that more PSP classics may come on PS4 and, even though I have all the games that I want on my Vita, I would love to play again some on 4k.
@Damo Even if this is a PSP emulator they could easily hack back the original script and voice acting if they want it.
I already preordered it, there is a 4 euro discount for Plus members.
Neat! I would prefer a main story expansion though after the lame ending though. I guess they fixed the frame rate issues and release it as standalone?
Anyway they may drop another rare blade or two but I would prefer them to work in a sequel.
@Krisi You are right, my point still somewhat holds though. I personally have Shovel Knight on both Wii U and Vita (and PS3,PS4 due to cross buy) so I see no reason to buy it again on Switch. Same for Axiom Verge. So I guess they sold somewhat less than 200,000 digital copies.
@Krisi Blaster Master Zero and Golf Story are also strong candidates. I am wondering if indie titles that have retail editions are considered in thus "best-selling indie game" category.
Anyway Shovel Knight and Shantae 4 are not excusives, in fact they are available everywhere (SK is crossbuy on PS machines) so I don't think it is them. Oxenfree had a massive discount and stayed on top of charts for lots of days and is not as popular as SK and S4.
Isn't 200,000 sales a bit low for "third best-selling indie game" though?
I got Kamiko last week on discount. It is very short and not that hard and has no story but for its very cheap price it was quite enjoyble and arcade like fun.
Now the first Fairune (also very cheap) is a better overall game with an enjoyable overworld and interesting leveling system but also has no story. I never got to play Fairune 2. I guess I just wanted a Vita port that never happened. I guess I will get the switch collection if it is resonably priced.
Since Kamiko is the third best-selling indie game I was wondering what are the first two. I guess, depending on the charts I see, Stardew Valley and Oxenfree?
I am fine with the eshop. It is minimal and fast. Only a videogame genre category is something they miss.
The problem is in their digital system. I still don't get why you have to buy the games again on if you buy a second switch or why you have to call nintendo to transfer the games from one system to another.
@jariw Hey I didn't say that those are bad ports or underperform highly but if you have a gaming PC or PS4 Pro the portable aspect does not factor as much, counting in the bad way the eshop works (why if I have two consoles I have to buy the games twice?). In the games I have tried on both platforms like Sonic Mania there is something in Switch that feels off and it is mostly on fps and general performance yet for others like Stardew Valley you have to be extra careful to see the diferences. That's why a second list that has only Switch (no Wii U or PS4) exclusives would be more interesting.
More on topic:
I have forgotten that one of my favourite indies of all time Night in the Woods is available on Switch. I highly recommend this game for the narrative only. Another game not mentioned is Count Lucanor (it was console exclusive when I got it, there are now PS4 and Vita versions). It is a bizarre adventure game with multiple endings and scary at times. I also recommend Wonder Boy. I really stands the test of time. I also recommend Sonic Mania but I would suggest getting it elsewhere. Blaster Master Zero is a must play also for retro fans and it is Nintendo exlusive (there is a good 3ds port). I think (from the comments) that Golf Story is an exclusive I have to try
@SLIGEACH_EIRE On PS4 FIFA 18 has been discounted up to 50% (35 Euros) noumerous times already. Not interested in the game anyway. Edit: It is also on sale for PS4 for 30 euros.
Seriously some of the Switch discounts are a joke. 5 euro discount on 45 and 50 euro games...
I recently beat this game on PS4. I don't know how it is on Switch performance wise (I am guessing it will be fine). I love this game, I highly recommend it. Great story, great writing, interesting characters.
LOL and I just bought a Mega Drive FB HD a few days back. To be fair most beloved SEGA games have been ported on a variety of platforms and are easily accessible.
I would love a new SEGA console though, a mini or whatever else where you can play all its backlog from Master System to Dreamcast, including Game Gear.
@Heavyarms55 Yes I know that but the article says that this pad has a usb cable for charging included in the box. With this cable the pad may be recognised from windows as a generic gamepad.

Enough port begging, only a collection of the Layton games is needed!
Re: The Messenger's New Game+ Update Is Now Live, Quality Of Life Improvements Also Added
The game is also in discount in EU, it goes for 13.49 Pounds.
Re: Poll: What Do You Want To See From The Final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct?
Enough of those directs already. Makes you think that the console has no other major upcoming release.
Re: Nintendo Grabs Smartphone-Related Trademarks For Zelda: Spirit Tracks And Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
Those Zelda games had some of the most bad controls in the series and they were very slow paced. Those could be remedied in a possible remake though.
Re: Fan-Made Website Which Helps Switch Owners Find Online Players Is About To Reach 40,000 Users
How can Nintendo shut it? Aren't there a lot of sites that do the same on other platforms for trophy boosting etc?

Seems like with one pledge you get both Vita and Switch versions. I like this!
Re: The Critically Acclaimed Gone Home Is Headed To Nintendo Switch Next Week
Really enjoyed it on PS4. I highly recommend it.
Re: Cosmic Star Heroine Brings 2D RPG Action To Switch Next Month
I highly recommend this game. Reminds you of Mega Drive Phantasy Star games. I have already multiple versions of it so I won't get it again though.
Re: Sakurai Is Well Aware That You Want Waluigi In Smash Bros. Ultimate, Says Reggie
Waluigi coming right after the localization of Mother 3.
I personally don't really care but I get those who want the character.

Virtual Console confirmed!!
I guess not... Still in the fence if I get it on PS4 or Switch.
Re: Wolfenstein II Developer Says Switch Port Will Have No Compromises
I want an announcement about if/when the dlc will come. If they don't I won't bother even if the port is good, like Doom.

@PhilKenSebben Or 10.99 pounds if you are in UK.

Re: Video: Check Out Nine Whole Minutes Of Wolfenstein II Running On Switch
@Akira_1975 OK thanks. I was looking forward to it but if this is indeed the case I may simply get the digital version.
So I checked local retailers. In the box art it says "Internet Download Required"!!!!
That wraps this up they chose the cheap cartridge. Now if they tell what their plans for DLC are.
Re: Video: Check Out Nine Whole Minutes Of Wolfenstein II Running On Switch
I read the comments and I am baffled. So I have to download a portion of the single player campaign if I buy the retail version?
Doom and Skyrim play from the card. Obviously one should download the updates but they function.
Re: Video: Check Out Nine Whole Minutes Of Wolfenstein II Running On Switch
@ryancraddock Do we know if or when the dlc will be released?
I am very tempted by the game after I tried Doom but before preordering I want to know if I can play the "whole" game.
Re: Konami Is Set To Reveal Two New Games For Nintendo Switch At E3 2018
It could be the old WiiWare Castlevania game or a port of the recent mobile game
Re: Review: White Night (Switch eShop)
Another game I got the platinum ages ago. It is a fan little horror game a bit on the cliche side.
Re: Shuntaro Furukawa Is Nintendo's New President

Re: Flyhigh Works Celebrates Kamiko Sales Success With Fairune Collection Announcement
@Mr_Horizon Thanks for the head's up. List makes no sense though, lol.
Re: Horizon Chase Turbo Could Be Speeding Towards Nintendo Switch
I love Outrun so I may get Horizon Chase Turbo. I guess I will just get on PS4 though, I won't wait for it to be released on Switch.

This is one of my favourite games on PS4. Higly recommended, too bad I have already played it. This is not a game you can play a second time though.

They reskinned the official HORI controller? I have one and love it.

@SilentHunter382 If this is indeed the case ignore my comment.
Re: Grab Zelda, ARMS, FIFA 18 And More In The Big eShop Sale On 3DS, Wii U And Switch
Why don't you write the full list or link to it?
It would be good to see if there is something decent to dust off the Wii U or the 3DS...
Re: The Bunker Will Bring Live Action Psychological Horror To Switch Next Month
I really liked this game on PS4. I recommend it. Another Switch game I have beaten though. I want more exclusives.

Problem is that all or almost all have better versions available in other platforms. Another list with exclusives would also make sense in my opinion.
Re: Third Editions Launches Kickstarter To Translate Zelda, Dark Souls And Final Fantasy Books Into English
They are very expensive and they don't offer digital editions.

Re: Miitomo Meets Its End On 9th May

Re: This Portable Console Has Over 350 Built-In Games So You'll Never Be Bored Again
This is a 35 bucks device. You surely cannot except a Nintendo/Sony quality. If the games are really 350 licenced I may give this a try.
Re: Nintendo Has Reportedly Delayed the Roll-Out of 64GB Switch Game Cartridges
@YummyHappyPills It really depends on the game. FF15 + expansion pass sits at about 90GB on my Pro. There are many games close to 50GB though.
Re: Nintendo Download: 14th December (Europe)
Why now Konami? Why do you release all those great VC games so late in the life of a dying platform?
Anyway I may get them. In two of them I am eligible to the infimous Wii U VC transfer discount that for some reason still applies.
I want Romancing Saga 2. I may go with the PS4 (or Vita) version though.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I really liked this game. Got it last month in a PS4 discount and I did not think I'd like it that much.
Re: Pokémon Crystal Is Coming To 3DS Early Next Year
The GBC emulation on 3DS in not that great to be honest.
Anyway those Pokemon games are more obselete than retro.

Cool. Have you tried compatibility with a Windoes PC or Switch?
Re: Retro Alert! Mega Drive Is Getting A New Arcade-Style Shooter In 2018
