Re: Feature: Why Pokémon: Let's Go Is The Perfect Entry Point For Pokémon GO Players

belmont

Everything in the new games seems generic and bland. I am tired of the franshise to be honest. After White/Black the series is not as good as it used to be. Sun/Moon have very slow unskippable cutescenes, the worst framerate I have seen on an AAA title, hold your hand way too much and look like a pixelated mess. Surely if you make it in the end or post game the game is more enjoyable but still... Anyway I am not interested in Lets go, I will wait to see what they will offer next.

Re: Random: Nintendo Is Now Refusing To Offer Stock To Amazon France After Disagreements

belmont

I really don't understand why selling a console cheaper is bad for the consumer. Seriously why is it so bad to buy the console 20-30 euros cheaper? Saving money is never a bad thing and I always buy from the cheapest shop I can find.

Also I can't understand why Nintendo does not set a price in the eurozone. It is legal and retailers can sell at their loss if they want. For example PS4 was 399 or 409 at launch in the eurozone depending on local taxes. Vita was 249 everywhere.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects - September 2018

To be honest I have played a lot of those years ago on other systems (some have been "free" for Playstation Plus). The switch really needs more exclusives.

I really like Gone Home. It may be a bit more expensive than it should but it has an interesting story. Broforce and all those 2 player games are not for me. Velocity is great! I too got bored of Undertale towards the end and getting the Platinum trophy way before the final boss gives you less incentive to go on.

You forgot Alwa's Awakening that is also console exclusive

Re: It Sucks To Say It, But Castlevania Requiem Isn't Coming To Switch

I have suggested in Push Square comments that this is an HD port of Rondo of Blood but I would prefer an emulated version funded by Sony. This means that more PSP classics may come on PS4 and, even though I have all the games that I want on my Vita, I would love to play again some on 4k.

@Damo Even if this is a PSP emulator they could easily hack back the original script and voice acting if they want it.

I already preordered it, there is a 4 euro discount for Plus members.

Re: Flyhigh Works Celebrates Kamiko Sales Success With Fairune Collection Announcement

@Krisi Blaster Master Zero and Golf Story are also strong candidates. I am wondering if indie titles that have retail editions are considered in thus "best-selling indie game" category.

Anyway Shovel Knight and Shantae 4 are not excusives, in fact they are available everywhere (SK is crossbuy on PS machines) so I don't think it is them. Oxenfree had a massive discount and stayed on top of charts for lots of days and is not as popular as SK and S4.

Isn't 200,000 sales a bit low for "third best-selling indie game" though?

Re: Flyhigh Works Celebrates Kamiko Sales Success With Fairune Collection Announcement

I got Kamiko last week on discount. It is very short and not that hard and has no story but for its very cheap price it was quite enjoyble and arcade like fun.

Now the first Fairune (also very cheap) is a better overall game with an enjoyable overworld and interesting leveling system but also has no story. I never got to play Fairune 2. I guess I just wanted a Vita port that never happened. I guess I will get the switch collection if it is resonably priced.

Since Kamiko is the third best-selling indie game I was wondering what are the first two. I guess, depending on the charts I see, Stardew Valley and Oxenfree?

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Top Ten eShop Games From Switch's First Year

belmont

@jariw Hey I didn't say that those are bad ports or underperform highly but if you have a gaming PC or PS4 Pro the portable aspect does not factor as much, counting in the bad way the eshop works (why if I have two consoles I have to buy the games twice?). In the games I have tried on both platforms like Sonic Mania there is something in Switch that feels off and it is mostly on fps and general performance yet for others like Stardew Valley you have to be extra careful to see the diferences. That's why a second list that has only Switch (no Wii U or PS4) exclusives would be more interesting.

More on topic:
I have forgotten that one of my favourite indies of all time Night in the Woods is available on Switch. I highly recommend this game for the narrative only. Another game not mentioned is Count Lucanor (it was console exclusive when I got it, there are now PS4 and Vita versions). It is a bizarre adventure game with multiple endings and scary at times. I also recommend Wonder Boy. I really stands the test of time. I also recommend Sonic Mania but I would suggest getting it elsewhere. Blaster Master Zero is a must play also for retro fans and it is Nintendo exlusive (there is a good 3ds port). I think (from the comments) that Golf Story is an exclusive I have to try

Re: Nintendo Download: 8th February (Europe)

@SLIGEACH_EIRE On PS4 FIFA 18 has been discounted up to 50% (35 Euros) noumerous times already. Not interested in the game anyway. Edit: It is also on sale for PS4 for 30 euros.

Seriously some of the Switch discounts are a joke. 5 euro discount on 45 and 50 euro games...

Re: Review: Night In The Woods (Switch eShop)

belmont

I recently beat this game on PS4. I don't know how it is on Switch performance wise (I am guessing it will be fine). I love this game, I highly recommend it. Great story, great writing, interesting characters.

Re: Nintendo Download: 14th December (Europe)

belmont

Why now Konami? Why do you release all those great VC games so late in the life of a dying platform?

Anyway I may get them. In two of them I am eligible to the infimous Wii U VC transfer discount that for some reason still applies.

I want Romancing Saga 2. I may go with the PS4 (or Vita) version though.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I really liked this game. Got it last month in a PS4 discount and I did not think I'd like it that much.
