Re: Nintendo's Switch Online Playtest Is Already Being Streamed, Unsurprisingly

YoshiAngemon

Nintendo should've just done what they did in the old days: invite the playtesters to their offices all over the world to do the playtest in person, then collect the data from the results. That way, Nintendo would ensure they keep it secret,, but also so they could use the footage for some promotional video to build up hype, like the VHS for Donkey Kong Country from Nintendo Power did, back in 1994.

@GarlicGuzzler Naw, man. It's an evolution of racing, from things like F-1 and racing around traditional tracks like the Indianapolis 500, Daytona, and even NASCAR Racing.

In fact, 150 Years ago, Rick Wheeler was an F-1 Racer who wanted to propose to his girlfriend Haruka Misaki, but fate had different plans for him, as Zoda was eluding his capture, he would've killed Rick. But 150 Years later, Rick, Zoda AND Haruka are in the future, racing in F-ZERO Machines. It's in the story of F-ZERO GP Legend.

Man, I wish Nintendo would collaborate with Discotek Media and release both versions, as well as Kirby: Right Back At Ya.

Re: Review: F-Zero: GP Legend (GBA) - A Great Handheld Entry That Nails The Series' Spirit

YoshiAngemon

Never played this, but I DID watch F-Zero GP Legend on the Fox Box/4Kids TV. The sad thing was that it never got a full run, mainly because it wasn't as popular as Kirby: Right Back At Ya, or even Sonic X. Dang. Discotek Media needs to get on the horn with Nintendo to talk them into giving them distribution rights for those Nintendo cartoons, so that FUNimation isn't keeping Kirby held hostage, or that Mario isn't a NCircle Exclusive.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda '80s Cartoon Series Gets DVD Re-Release

YoshiAngemon

To be fair, this is a reprint of an earlier edition. It seems obvious that if Discotek Media were to release the Super Mario Bros Super Show on Blu-Ray, it would just have the Mario cartoons, their accompanying segments, and only the Friday segments, minus the Legend of Zelda cartoons. It seems obvious that there are some things even they can't get the rights to. I'll stick to my Shout Factory set, thanks.

Re: Pizza Tower Finally Dashes Onto Switch Today

The Bosses of this game are Perfect, Powerful, Famous, Horrifying and Lovable! And what is our hero, some greasy, deranged Italian? Do I dare double-dip to play this at the laundromat on Saturdays?

"Yes.. I AM... PEPPINO!! ***** YOU! AH-HAHAHAHA!!!"

Sorry, had to reference the "Unexpectancy with Lyrics" video.

Re: LEGO Reveals Six New Mario Kart Sets, Speeding Our Way In 2025

K'NEX Did Mario Kart better, and they didn't need BABIES to make it good! They even did the Minifigures better! If LEGO did Mario Mnifigures, expect Molded heads like the K'NEX Minifigures, because a traditional Mario Minifigure with the nose and mustache not being 3D standouts that go around the face is NOT gonna sell units.

Re: Super Mario World Lego Set Revealed, Here's A First Look

YoshiAngemon

@T317 A Mario minifigure would easily look just like a K'NEX Mario Minifigure, only smaller. Basically the same size as LEGO Sonic, with a molded head, not a generic LEGO Minifigure head with Mario's face printed on it. For one thing, what's a distinct Mario without his iconic nose and mustache?

Re: Nintendo On Inappropriate Use Of Its IP And Games: "Action Must Be Taken"

YoshiAngemon

It's times like this that make people like me glad that SEGA is more fan-friendly than Nintendo, due to the fact that they're just third-party publishers now. But sometimes, I wish they'd be a tinier bit restrictives with what fans post, these days. Ohhh, I hate that hedgehog, but at least the Sonic fandom is locked in a civil war that would result in the successful elimination of both sides.
