Who on earth writes these polls? Multiple answers are too similar to each other and all they do is just split the votes for no reason.

For example, 'I've already pre-ordered', 'day one' and 'as soon as possible' is pretty much the same thing!

Then you have 'I need more convincing' and 'I'll wait for the reviews'.

And finally 'Galaxy in 3D All-Stars was my limit', 'I think I'll stick with the original reviews' and 'No I'm not interested'.

You could have cut out 5 answers and you would have ended up with a poll that reflects your readers opinions in a more succinct way!

Guys, have some faith in Retro studios. They know what they are doing.

@Folkloner not as simple as you make out. The person returning the bricked console would no doubt wipe all their data off the console, which means the store would need to go through the set up process and possibly add an account to see if it works. Very time consuming process for retailers.

Reading these comments I'm glad I'm not the only one that can't see what DF are complaining about.

I'm not discounting their opinion, but to my eyes the Switch 2 screen looks amazing and FAR better than the OG Switch. I don't have an OLED Switch so can't compare against that, but I do have a top of the range 4k 120hz LG TV and even when playing handheld vs on my TV the screen still looks fantastic.

@DonkeyKongBigBoy there's more to it then that. My biggest concern right now is the size of the download vs the prices of Micro SD Express cards. Have you seen the prices?!!

Owning a Switch 2 will be very expensive!

@tseliot I guess it is easier to quit a game on GamePass as opposed to ones I paid for. I will say that I do like to give a game a fair go before deciding to stop if it's not my cup of tea.

In answer to how far I got, can't really remember because I played it ages ago and found the game to very unmemorable.

Very boring game IMO. Didn't finish it.

@rvcolem1 Give it another chance mate. It's easily best RPG on GBA and for many, myself included, is the greatest JRPG game of all time.

And don't get me started on the soundtrack... The OST's for the game are superb. It really is worth playing it for the music alone!

Tunic is an amazing game. Inspired by Zelda, but still manages to be completely original.

Came here expecting to leave a comment along the lines off 'wish devs would stop making second rate clones of Nintendo IP's.'

Watched the trailer and instead will say.... Looks fantastic. And you know what? Given that it will probably be another 10 years till Nintendo does a sidescrolling metroid, bring on the clones!

Hopefully this is a sign that it will come out on Series X.

Wanted to play this, but looks murky on Switch.

@mezoomozaa never count Nintendo out. That was a great Xbox presentation, but all Nintendo will have to do is properly show BoTW 2 and fans will lose their sh**. Who knows, we may even get Metroid Prime Triology or even a look at Prime. 4.

Putting that aside, loads of games on today's Xbox showcase I'm looking forward to. Can't decide which one I'll play first.

I love Baby Park, the Tour version seems to add a few new twists to it.

As a kid I had a choice between the Tiger Game Com or the Game Boy (I think it was Game Boy Colour)

I chose the Game Com as it had a Sonic game on it. The Game Com sold so badly that I could not find any games for it in any stores including Sonic.

I ended up with only the two packed in games (Batman and Lights Out).

Am i missing something here? Why doesn't Hori just make a wireless version with rumble? Surely it would sell well?

Personally disagree with this. Metroid Dread looks jaggy in some places when playing on the big screen. Kinda lessens the experience for me.

The combat and movement just felt so sluggish and bulky that I stopped playing.

@Strumpan Erm... No that doesn't hold any water. Giving a game a bad score because its boring is justifiable, giving a game a bad score because its cute isn't.

Bloody hell. My biggest concern about this game is avoiding spoilers for 400 days straight.

Free? That's very generous. I would gladly pay for this. I wish the dude at least done a humble bundle style 'pay what you want' model. Feels criminal taking it for free.

@FightingFafnir if NintendoLife only reported on games that they've reviewed, then there would be a lot of game related info that we'd miss out on.

I'm sure they'd love to review every single game in existence, but at the end of the day they have limited manpower.

And yes, of course the free DLC is a marketing strategy, no company ever gives away anything for absolutely nothing. Good strategy as well, may I add.

I am dissapointed that they didn't release premium Mii costumes alongside Sepiroth and the latest character.

Having said that, will pick up Arthur's gear, if only because that game ruined my childhood.

I would rather have iD Software create a new female character and leave the doom slayer as he is. That would be more interesting and authentic IMO. The Doom Slayer is an aggressive jacked up dude. Yes I know we are talking about fictional characters.

I'm sure most people would rather have Samus left alone as a female. Her gender is part of her identitiy.

Surely the ease of pirating games on the DS and 3DS contributed to those games having lower sales?

This is a 11/10 game.

@15roundTKO Each to their opinion, but I haven't felt starved of Nintendo games at all on Switch. Out of all my consoles, Switch is the one I spend the most time on.

There's a free trial on eShop right now. Dead on Arrival.

Was looking forward to trying cloud gaming out on Switch. Booted up Control, got an error message saying that the server is at capacity and that I had been placed in a que.... I was number 1142.

Hopefully these are just teething issues and capacity won't be an issue for future cloud games, but so far not so good.

EDIT I take it back. Few mins after posting the above comment, I managed to get into a game. Game ran surprisingly well, at some points there were slight dips in frames, but not enough to render it unplayable. If I didn't have an Xbox One, I could see myself purchasing this on the Switch.

I do have a 200mbps connection though, so your mileage may vary.

Glad everyone else here seems to like this game, but I'm personally going to give it a miss. Brought their two other games, Jotun and Sundered, because the animation looked amazing.

The animation was certainly special, but both games was pretty naff IMO.

This looks like what the Hori spilt pad pro should have been. Happy to be a customer.

@Wavey84 Personally didn't mind Super so much. Agree with all your criticisms, but overall enjoyed the Beerus, Revival of Freeza and Tournament of Power arcs.

Not sure how such a huge franchise such as DB could have ever got released with subpar animations. Definitely loads of missed opportunities.

Have you read the Super Manga BTW? It's slightly different from the anime, and some parts are far better as a result. There's also more consistency in the power levels, eg when Goku spars with Android 17, he only turns SS3.

No way Android 17 should have been able to keep up with Blue form like he did in the anime.

Bruce Falconour made all those lines 100x more epic. I'd wager hardcore DB fans can't read those lines without his OST's playing automatically in their brains!

@Wavey84 +1 to the Bruce Faulconer wish! Don't know why his OSTs don't get much love in the various video game series. Maybe a licensing issue?

Missed opportunity here. Personally don't care about the colours. But rumble and gyro? Would have been a day 1 purchase for me.
