I really want a monster catching game other than Pokemon to really smash the charts. We all know that Gamefreak need the competition, otherwise we will just keep getting subpar releases like Sw/Sh.

I don't think Nexomon will be that game. This might have given Black/White and previous gens a run for their money, but by todays standards it looks outdated.

Happy to be proven wrong though.

@the_beaver it's been reported in several places that it will run at 30 fps. Not surprising, given that the 2016 version ran at 30 fps.

Absolutely love this game. But honestly guys, if you have a more powerful console, get it on that. The smooth 60fps makes all the difference in this adrenaline fuelled madness of a game.

Not interested in this character at all. But then again, I wasn't interested in Byleth, but Sakurai managed to sell that character to me in his presentation, so here's hoping that will be the case again.

Wow. The original was the first video game I ever played. This is a day 1 purchase for me.

I don't think this game has enough content to warrant a physical release. Having said that, don't let that put you off from owning this game in one form or other. It's a blast in couch co-op and a staple in my circles multiplayer sessions.

Suits me for selfish reasons. I've dusted out the Xbox One and playing through games available via the Game Pass system. Incredible value.

What's the difference between the Definitive Edition and the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Switch that's already available?

All of these games would be a day 1 purchase for me.
Only Mario game I haven't played is Galaxy 2. I've got the game, but didn't get round to it, and ever since I got the Switch I've been praying for a remaster.

Doom Eternal. Such an adrenaline rush playing that game.

Considering getting Animal Crossing to balance out the gore and madness lol.

Actually the first character that I'm let down by. But I have full faith that Sakurai and Co will make the character very fun to play, just like they did with all the FP1 characters (yes I'm including Byleth in this).

Really really want Doom Slayer in this pack. Prob won't happen, but I'd be over the moon if it does.

Gotta admit, I'm surprised it beat Doom Eternal considering thats a multiplatform game.

I wonder if the current situation has anything to do with it? It would be the perfect game to play while in quarantine.

I must admit, I've not been interested in New Horizons. The only AC game I played was the DS version. Absolutely loved it, but I feel once you've played one of them, you've played them all.

Am I missing something?

My copy of Doom Eternal for the Xbox came a day early! Quite a fitting game to play with the whole Covid 19 thing.

I know it's an indie game, but that doesn't excuse how fugly this looks. And the physics and world interaction seems whack.

Great news for fans of Brawlhalla I guess. Personally I couldn't get into the game, to me it played like one of them free flash games you'd find on the likes of Newgrounds.

Well this is pleasant news. Would have gladly paid good money for this DLC.

@Jayofmaya Just go to Shopto.com and search for Smash Ultimate. They should have Fighters Pass 2 for under £20. Once purchased, they send you a link to your email with a code. Input the code into the eShop, and voila!

In case you haven't heard of them, Shopto are a very reputable site, so don't worry about buying from them.

Day 1 purchase for me. Brought the first set outright as a means of showing support to Sakurai and co.

Doom has to be played on a more powerful console. Don't get me wrong, the Switch version of the 2016 game was a great port, but the buttery smooth performance of the beefier consoles is irreplaceable for a fast paced game such as Doom.

I'll be passing on this as it doesn't look like the developer tried to do much differently.

Having said that, I hope it does really well commercially, we all know GameFreak have become far too complacent and could do with competition.

@BarefootBowser It kinda is. Town is made by GameFreak, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never known GameFreak to release titles on anything other than Nintendo platforms.

@rex_rex TBF, Sakurai explicitly said last time to only buy the Fighters Pass if you have faith in his team to deliver.

Nobody is forcing you to buy them before hand at all.

Ultra Smash fans like myself buy these passes blindly to show some support to Sakurai and his team. I am a little disappointed that they ended Fighter Pass 1 with a Fire Emblem character, but overall as a package I'm very happy with what we got.

Would have thought from a developers point of view, that game would have been perceived as underwhelming and under developed.

Personally out of all home consoles, I prefer the Switches UI. Very simplistic and clean.

On the other extreme, I hate the Xbox UI. Very cluttered!

All I want is folders on the Switch. I have more than 125 titles on my Switch, would be so much easier to find stuff if I could just organise them!

@ProfessorNess Yep, this I agree with. Problem now is that in each section, most creators will leave the Master Sword power up, which means you are never really in danger of dying.

Played a few levels today. Total game changer. Link brings so much new possibilities to the table.

@Dodger Exactly this. Grew up playing games, still sink countless hours into it, but at the end of the day I've not gained anything from it other than a distraction from life.

Would prefer my daughter picks up a productive hobby instead.

Really want to experience this on the Switch, but funding it hard to pay the price when it's super cheap on other systems. Its also coming out on Xbox Game Pass this month....

I'm glad people are enjoying this, but I genuinely feel like this game doesn't deserve this level of success.

The amount of care, love and fan service put into games like Odyssey, BoTW and Smash are evident.

This game so far feels unpolished and a massive missed opportunity. I got this game for free, I'm super glad I didn't pay for it!

If only Nintendo had the authority to give the franchise to a more capable developer...

@garfreek As much as I loathe their Mobile strategy, I have to applaud them on their DLC offerings. As you mentioned, Nintendo games are the complete package without DLC. DLC is extra icing on the top, just the way it should be.

I get that at the end of the day, Nintendo is a business and not a charity. I get that their mobile strategy is working for them from a business point of view. But as a long time Nintendo fanboy, I can't help but feel disappointment over their mobile practices.
