I don't remember when I started having this issue - it may have been before the firmware update, I dont know. But this is an issue that is unique to my current set of Joycon that I have had no issues with until a few months earlier.
My Joycon will suddenly disconnect for no reason at all. Even when directly connected to my Switch in the middle of a match, they'll suddenly say "Joycons not connected!" and I'll be forced to slide them off, slot them into the grip and use them from there. For some reason, they're completely fine disconnected from the screen and work as normal. But even 10 minutes into playing with them attached to the Switch, they'll disconnect on me. Its guaranteed. And I've had plenty of joycon that I stopped using for drift issues and whatever else. This is a unique occurrence to me through all those pairs I've gone throug.
I have enjoyed Scarlet and Violet the most of any pokemon game, probably since Pokemon X and Y. But while I've only had the game crash once and only experienced one or two glitches, I have to agree with everyone else. The vast majority of the game is fun (thanks to it being pokemon) but the issues I have in the Raids borderline makes that unplayable.
And its honestly shocking that they still haven't put out a fix for it yet. I'm still playing and waiting for the fix but its really killing my enjoyment of the game for sure.
Budokai Tenkaichi 2 was THE Dragonball game for me. It had EVERYTHING I could want and more as a child. Easily one of the best games of all time too, in my opinion. So for me, this was an insane announcement. And I just hope they bring everything that was in the games back and just add more to it. More characters, stages, modes, and whatever else they can throw in there. If they can manage not to cut anything out and just have the visuals be good, then the games will honestly be absolutely perfect.
I also really hope there will be a version on Switch. But I'm not gonna hold my breath on release.
Im so excited for these games. I dont much care for the issues because bad framerates dont kill my immersion unless it takes literal seconds for the character to move or the camera to pan in the direction I want.
However, multiplayer adventuring is something I've been asking for in pokemon since Gen 3. So for good reason, this is going to be my anticipated generation yet. So much so that as long as the new pokemon designs are good and most older pokemon come back, I will be satisfied.
I remember when E3 used to be the best time of year for games. But they legit squandered it with all the celebrities, cars and whatever else. Just make it about the games again -and ONLY the games- and the rest will fall into place.
I didn't like the sound of it at first but its actually kinda brilliant. Fodder pokemon appear all the time. So having your pokemon battle without your input is a great way to just carry on your way without interruption. And it just makes the world of pokemon feel more natural.
I understood everything perfectly. The stuff you couldn't read wasn't all that important. Just characters dialogue from the game. I think they were just getting authentic ingame footage so we have an idea of what to expect in the games storylines. But clearly that wasnt where they wanted your focus to be.
Jackpot! This trailer was perfect! Everything I wanted! But it still gets 9/10 because there were only two new pokemon revealed. I was hoping to see more then that.
Just new pokemon. Pleaaaase! Loads of new and cool designs! Everything about Scarlet and Violet already sounds amazing so new pokemon would just make it even better.
I've been yelling about this for ages. But pokemon NEEDED 4 player co-op gameplay. The fact that we haven't had it for this long is absurd, but now that we're getting it for real, it WILL enhance the pokemon experience.
Pokemon is literally about going on a journey and the anime makes it all the more clear that 'travelling with your friends' makes the experience that much better. And being able to battle and trade and run around the same world as your friends will just maximize the replayability that other games in the series dont have.
Oh, you found a rare pokemon? Guess you can either surprise your friend with it in a battle or lead them to wherever it was you found it. Maybe you're both shiny hunting and helping one another out? Or what if you were leading someone new to the series through a high level area where they wouldn't normally be able to go without your help.
Co-Op multiplayer breathes new life into that experience in a way that Lets Go and Sword and Shield tried and failed to do. And I genuinely can't wait for it. I still maintain that this should have been an ongoing feature in the series since Gen 4-5, but as this will arguably be the best version of pokemon to date (they do try to improve with every iteration they release), getting co-op now isn't the worst thing ever.
I'm 100% in on this. I just hope that they try and bring all pokemon into the games to really make everyone happy.
I called this feature back in February after the first direct. I've BEEN expecting it since Gen 4/5. I've WANTED since Lets Go and now we're FINALLY getting it! Open world pokemon with up to 4 friends is amazing! Battle and trade three buddies at any time will be the best feature pokemon has ever seen for immersion.
Looking forward to FINALLY being able to go challenge a gym while my friends are simultaneously off chasing legendary pokemon in the same breathing world. Next, I hope they'll consider a max of 8 players since the Switch basically offers that, but I'll be more than happy to settle with 4 players going forward.
Loved Dragons Dogma for ages when it originally came out on other consoles. I finished the game and kept replaying it through to the end dozens of times, but I think I only played through the DLC once.
Either way, I tried playing it on the Switch too when that released, but I just didn't bother playing through it even once. I suppose by that time, I'd already had my fill of the game.
Dragons Dogma was such an amazing experience, but it would have been even better if it had been multiplayer in some way. But they didn't make that happen, so it was doomed to be nothing more then that. I'll welcome any sequel with open arms, but if its not multiplayer, it can only say relevant for so long.
I don't care for Espeon, but as others have stated, its inclusion opens the door for the rest of them. My most anticipated is Vaporeon. Followed by Umbreon for a close second. If both are added... I guess I'll have to stop sucking at the game lol.
Woah, cool! I didnt think we'd see this game on Switch at all! But if they can hack it, I'm probably going to pick it up. I'm not even a fan of Harry Potter, but the game and world within that trailer looked intriguing in so many ways!
I pick water no matter the game or generation. Even if I dont like the starter, its evos or even its end typing. I still pick water. I'm not into fire or grass types at all so its a no-brainer for me.
I'll preorder the games when they show up on the eshop. But I am still genuinely excited for these games. Not overwhelmingly so, like back when X and Y were on their way, but excited enough to preorder right away.
Not a bad pick. Im not gonna play it but Trevenant is WAY more interesting then some of the other pokemon on the roster. We need more like it, actually.
For me, X & Y were the best generation. There was so much to do, especially outside of battles. And online battling was incredible for a first timer like me. I've been with the series since Red and Blue but X & Y felt like my eyes had been awakened to Pokemon's real potential. The customisation, the story, the new perspective, the Fairy Type, the PSS... the list goes on and on. And its a shame we deviated so far from those games. Hopefully a remake will do those games justice somewhere down the line.
@Snatcher Its about time we branched out. Much as I love DBZ combat, we've already tried everything under the sun where fighting games are concerned. The Breaker is a long overdue game type in the Dragonball sphere.
@Snatcher SAME! A brand new Dragonball game is such a relief since I dont play Xenoverse 2 anymore and FighterZ is beyond me. xD
I just saw a youtube video about the The Breakers as well and the youtuber stated the game is connected to the Xenoverse universe and will have some connectivity to Xenoverse save data. So I bet this will be especially exciting for people who played Xenoverse at least one time or another.
@Snatcher I am 100% sure you'll be able to pick between all three villains whenever you land the chaser role (forgot what its called already haha). In all other games this one is clearly based off, you can choose which baddie you want to be. Often in the middle of the match. I'd say the only thing you might have to worry about is landing the villain role over someone else who also wants to be the villain in that same match - since there can only be one at a time. But I'm betting there will be ways around that. You'll have plenty of fun as Majin Buu, I'm certain.
Honestly I'll be happy as anything. Villain Role would be great as both Freiza and Cell. Survivor role would be fun too - I'm pretty good at hiding so I'm confident I'll have a blast. xD
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! I've always been curious to try the Dead By Daylight gameplay and a Dragonball Z twist is just AWESOME!
I'm 100% getting this! Its made even more awesome by the fact that you can play as the three main big bads, customize your character, have different abilities, an open environment AND they took one of the most exciting parts of Dragonball Z (the danger regular folk have to face every time there's a threat) and made it WAY MORE INTERESTING! Holy hell! Day one purchase for sure!
I hope they keep adding to it too! I was just thinking we could use a new Dragonball Z game. And if more villains (Janemba, Broly etc) were added, that'd be even better! More costumes, character types and cosmetics would be nice too! Very well done!
I'm betting we'll get a new Nintendo system in the next 5 years or so. But while I expect they'll continue with the Hybrid console concept, I legitimately have no idea of how they can improve on it besides its power. But hopefully they succeed at whatever it is they're hoping to achieve.
I did see this yesterday (or the day before) and saw that it said "multiplatform" but there's no way in hell Switch gets this. At most, it'll have a Cloud version or something but no way to the actual game lol.
I've not been too pleased with some of the options in the roster, but you can't please everyone. So I'm not too miffed about it. However, I do have to admit that Greedent, Crustle and Slowbro aren't very appealing choices. Why can't they add more popular pokemon? The roster itself is supposed to draw in players who are on the fence, and you'll have less of a chance to do that with unpopular picks. That said, I would have liked to have seen something along the lines of Mimikyu, Spiritomb or Sableye join the roster in time for Halloween. At least keep things thematic. Why a squirrel?? That was just poor judgement, in my opinion.
Got mine earlier today. It looks and feels much sleeker then the Original 2017 model I've had up to now. The extra battery life and bump on the screen is what I'm really looking forward to. And because a buddy is buying my old model off me, I technically only spent £160 on this upgrade. Which is awesome! Friend in turn gets a used Switch for £150 thats in good working condition for someone in his family - so all in all a great deal for both sides.
Not my first pick but better Sora over "Master Chief" or "Doom Guy". Sora admittedly does fit the roster better and its fair to say he's earned his place.
I don't play Smash anymore anyway - so this isn't all that hype for me. Im getting swept up in the general buzz around twitter etc but for me this isn't something to scream about.
