The makers of PHOGS!, a chaotically silly dog-wiggling co-op game, have returned to the Switch with Tray Racers, a similarly goofy multiplayer racing game that's all about using trays as snowboards to surf across sand dunes.
Up to 16 players can grab a tray and get going in the online multiplayer mode, with cool tricks and combos to pull off and a character customiser to set yourself apart from the crowd — or you can just attempt to get the best time in the solo mode instead.
And we're not sure why this exists, but we're glad it does: Tray Racers comes with a dedicated "pet" button, which means you can pet everything. It's the video game we've always wanted.
Tray Racers will be coming for free to the Nintendo Switch and PC some time in 2023.

Could be fun. The characters have a slight Snowboard Kids vibe, which is always a good thing.
looks funny and free to play
Looks like fun, but “free” has many definitions; if they can get the “free” part right, I’ll certainly be all in.
Taito, makers of the racing game Ray Tracers (1997) would like to have a word with this developer.
"traying" was a seasonal activity at the University of Rochester on the hill behind the main dining hall, so it's funny to me that this trailer seems to mostly set the game in the desert rather than on a snowy hill
Hey, you know that game where they love shield surfing? And that one where people don't like that you can't pet the dogs? Well, we'll make sure you can do both!
As much as I like f2p games...this is an insta pass. Can't wait for Overwatch 2 though.
This was in my watch list, but if its free, I'll be there day one!
i feel the view of your character should be closer to you and not so far out.., other than that, looks interesting.
I want this. Looks like a great timesink.
