Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Kirby Air Riders?

Tendogamerxxx

I hated the first one. I hate this one too. I bought it thinking that maybe it would grow on me since I’m a huge Kirby fan- well, it didn’t end quite like that. 6 hours in and I am bored out of my mind.

I’m not a fan of the single button (2 buttons now, I guess) formula. The courses seem very bland to me. At times it feels like a lot was recycled from Smash Bros. While the races feel crazy and chaotic, when you take a step back they really aren’t. This seems like a waste of space in this year’s Switch 2 release schedule. I really wish they would of left Air Riders dormant. Sakurai has done amazing things- this I cannot agree is his best.

Re: Poll: When The Heck Is Metroid Prime 4 Actually Launching?

Tendogamerxxx

I don’t care that it’s gonna be delayed, because it will! At this point it feels like a bit too late in the year to announce a release date. What really bothers me is that they’ve been dangling a carrot in front of us for the past 10 years and they make it seem like it’s gonna release very soon and it just keeps getting pushed back. Next time they should shut it and just release a trailer when they’re 7-8 months away from launching. They’ve lost all credibility at this point. The next Zelda, Earthbound, F-zero could be announced next and I wouldn’t be excited or care. The way this was handled is beyond abysmal and it tells me that it could be another 10 years before a major IP announcement launches. TBH, I don’t really care for the game anymore. I’ll pick it up but I’m not even hyped anymore. It’s probably gonna be a backlog game.

Re: Kirby Air Riders Zooms Onto Switch 2 This November

Tendogamerxxx

@HugoGED I’m still here. I hated the original and this doesn’t look much better. This is a pass for me. I mean I’ll buy it because it’s a 1st party title but I have no interest in playing it. I hate the 1-button style driving. As much as I love Kirby I hate this spin-off.

Re: Review: Shadow Labyrinth - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Sometimes 'Good Enough' Is Just That

Tendogamerxxx

@SillyG That’s why you buy digital nowadays. You’ll never have the full/up-to-date copy on a cartridge. There will always be updates & DLC that won’t be on the original cartridge release. If you really think about it, it’s actually wonderful that developers can breathe life into games past their release date. Physical is a dead format. People will start to learn this as they are inconvenienced with. Updates/DLC each passing day.

Re: Perfect Dark Voice Actor Calls On Fans To Help Series "Survive"

Tendogamerxxx

Like I’ve been saying all these years… Everything that’s picked up by Microsoft goes to die in some form or another. Why buy all these IPs if you’re just gonna let them die? Do they just buy them to prevent other competitors getting their hands on them?

I don’t get it. So many IPs we’ll never see again because MS doesn’t see them as profitable.

Re: Romero Games Reportedly Shut Down Following Xbox Layoffs

Tendogamerxxx

Every studio that Microsoft touches ends up either closing or getting gutted only to remain a former shell of itself. I hate Microsoft for that. So many amazing studios have disappeared because of them. Rare is the most unforgivable of all these tragedies.

Microsoft is like a snobby rich kid that buys up all the best toys and breaks them so no one else can play with them.

Re: Here's Your First Look At Pokémon Scarlet And Violet On Switch 2

Tendogamerxxx

I don’t know if I’ll ever touch it again, even with the “improvements”. Never in my life have I not finished a Pokemon game until Scarlet & Violet came out. I’ve been playing since Red and Blue and it saddens me to say that this will be the first Pokemon game I will not finish. It felt bland, soulless, and unfinished. I’m good.

Re: Sakurai's 'Kirby Air Riders' Is Speeding Onto Switch 2

Tendogamerxxx

Hopefully this is better than the original. I invite everyone who haven’t played it or for those that have played it in the past to play it again. It didn’t age well. The game wasn’t the best. It literally had a 1 button control and the courses were just ok. The best part of the game was the open work tech demo but it wasn’t ground breaking or fun for very long… nostalgia memories can be deceiving.

Re: Croc Remaster Will Definitely Have Our Full, Undivided Attention On Launch Day

Tendogamerxxx

The fact that it isn’t releasing on STEAM makes me not want to buy it. They talk about keeping the game DMR-free but at the same time, it’s not DMR free on consoles so it doesn’t make sense why it wouldn’t come out on STEAM. That’s a huge market for them. I think they should let players choose whether they want DMR-Free or not. I prefer convenience over DMR-Free. Nothing lasts forever including myself so I rather have the convenience of STEAM and live in the moment.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom

Tendogamerxxx

I didn’t think I would agree with the 3/5 review but I understand a lot of his gripes now that I’ve been playing the game. It seems to be a bit of a chore with all the echos. It’s getting annoying and I’m only like 4-5 hours in. I didn’t think I’d say this but it’s quickly becoming one of my less liked Zelda games. It almost feels clunky… I’ll definitely finish it but it’s not my favorite so far.

Re: Nintendo To Go In 'Different Direction' To Current AI Trends, Says Miyamoto

Tendogamerxxx

AI and human developers can work together seamlessly to create better, more immersive games. Picture a small studio with limited resources being able to bring its vision to life by having AI assist with tasks like animations or storyboards, filling in gaps where the story may have plot holes. Imagine using AI to help design maps, create assets, or even playtest a game to catch bugs that could break it in hours, not weeks. It’s not about replacing human creativity but enhancing it—AI can take care of the repetitive, time-consuming tasks so developers can focus on what truly matters: innovation and storytelling.

The reality is, AI can help produce sequels faster (looking at you Metroid Prime 4), reduce development costs, and ultimately bring more polished games to market. This means fewer delays, fewer price hikes, and fewer half-baked releases. For those who oppose this, consider that they are often the same voices complaining about the rising costs and incomplete games we see today. AI is not a threat; it’s a tool—one that’s here to stay and will be used by the industry, whether critics like it or not. If you’re against it, you’re on the wrong side of progress.

Re: Hands On: Super Mario Party Jamboree Brings Together The Best Of Both Worlds

Tendogamerxxx

Mario Party should just become a live-service game with either an optional yearly paid update/DLC or monthly subscription (for a nominal fee) where new boards, mini games, modes, and characters are added. Online play would also be included. At this point all the Mario Party games just feel so similar and the differences aren’t very big between iterations. I rather have a game where I could access all the mini games from all the Mario Party Franchise along with all the maps and modes. We don’t need Mario Party #50. Just combine everything into 1.

Re: Random: It's Now Been Seven Years Since Metroid Prime 4 Was Announced

Tendogamerxxx

@FirstEmperor They can break their promise all they want! As long as the game is built on a newer system with better graphics/FPS/and gameplay, they can break their initial promise however they please. The only vocal and unsupportive minority, is going be the broke/cheapskate minority unwilling to upgrade their systems. It’s time to move on! If Nintendo has AAA titles in the works, don’t bother bringing to the switch. Make them happen on the new system. Don’t let old tech stifle creativity. They Gave you over 5 years of having a home console. Learn to MOVE ON!

Re: Random: It's Now Been Seven Years Since Metroid Prime 4 Was Announced

Tendogamerxxx

@FirstEmperor Keep in mind that switch specs were already a whole GEN behind. What I meant to say was- that at this point I hope they’re making the best looking game ever without trying to cater to the current switch. Time to move on to the next system.

This is coming from a long-time Nintendo fan that ran his 13yr old butt to buy the very first Metroid Prime game.

Re: Video: Pikmin 4 Hides Some Harder Challenges, You Just Need To Know Where To Look

Tendogamerxxx

@EarthboundBenjy The weight thing bothers me as well. I spam the crap out of the Y button to get them to rush it again and carry it faster with more Pikmin.

Overall tho, this is the best game in the series. I recently played through all 3 again before this came out and this is hands down the direction I want to see the series go. I’m excited to see what Pikmin 5 looks like in the next 5 years.

Re: Hands On: Mortal Kombat 1's Stunning Presentation Has Us Anxious About The Switch Port

Tendogamerxxx

@Dm9982 I think that if the creator’s vision can’t be fulfilled as they fully envision it on another platform then it shouldn’t exist. In this case they’re only bringing to switch because of the $$$. We all know dang well that this is too much game for the system. When you start talking about removing certain elements and dumbing down part of the atmosphere then you’re really just settling for a fraction of what the creator wanted you to experience. If you settle for less, they’re gonna give you less. Perhaps Nintendo should really rethink their strategy of being 1-2 generations behind so developers have to dance around the system to make it work. We should‘not have to compromise for a lesser product.

Re: Sega Looks Set To Raise Its Game Prices Up To $70

Tendogamerxxx

"In the global marketplace, AAA game titles for console have been sold at $59.99 for many years, but titles sold at $69.99 have appeared in the last year...”

Luckily, Sega has never produced any AAA titles and probably never will. You guys have nothing to worry about. 😉
