Re: Pokémon Ultra Sun And Moon Gets New Trailer And A Fresh Beast

Tendogamerxxx

@diaverik I don’t mean this in a rude way, but why should we? They are trying to sell a game to a different audience and region. Why do I have to go out of my way to watch a foreign trailer just to convince myself to buy it? They should be the ones to deliver trailers that make me excited for this game.

Overall, it looks ok. I love Pokémon so of course I’ll play it. Am I happy with what I am seeing? No. It looks like DLC for sure. At some point the formula has to change. Things are getting very stale. Been playing since red and blue on the GB.... maybe that’s why....

Re: Guide: Getting Started With The Pokémon Trading Card Game

Tendogamerxxx

I love playing and collecting Pokémon TCG. It can be a pricey hobby if you don’t know where to buy your stuff. The game is really fun and competitive. I reccomend you check out:

www.psychoturtlegames.com

they always have the best prices on everything. Also, if you are in southern California they host events once a months for people that don’t know how to play and teach you. The two owners Josh and Robert are so down to earth and friendly. They are Nintendo and Pokemon fans and even have their own decks to battle customers that want to take them on. Josh even helps you build a deck. They give you missing trainer and energy cards. Highly recommended

Re: Review: Pokémon Gold And Silver (3DS eShop / GBC)

Tendogamerxxx

This was definitely the highlight of all Pokémon games. Definitely one of my favorites. Although I played the heck out of this, I don't think I could ever backtrack on any Pokémon game. I feel that Pokémon is one of those series where you play it, enjoy it, and never look back due to the constant new content, mechanics, and Pokémon that are introduced in each iteration. Definitely will buy it to support the virtual release and get my celebi for Sun & Moon ultra tho.

Re: Jools Watsham Highlights Low Chicken Wiggle Sales, Confirms Upcoming Discount

Tendogamerxxx

I've already moved on to switch. I'll only be touching 3DS and WiiU only if I must. I don't understand why many people on here don't understand that and get mad at developers for not releasing games on the 3DS or Wii U. Just because you are still stuck in the past or can't afford a switch doesn't mean that developers should cater to you. All I know is that Switch is the new nintendo platform and that's where I expect all the games to be going forward. I'm not looking back and neither should you. If you like Nintendo and you like their games you need to get a Switch, simple as that. Don't want one? Don't expect special treatment. If it were up to me I'd cancel all the Remaining Wii U games and 3DS games and find a way to get them on switch. Just polish them up and make some adjustments but move on. The switch is the future of handheld and console gaming for Nintendo. If you don't get that by now, then you never will.

Re: Review: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (Switch)

Tendogamerxxx

I'm having a hard time getting into it.... it seems like It's not my thing. Feels kind of basic and plain... maybe I should play more of it but it's starting to become a drag 3 hours in... oh well.

Reviews on here have been overly generous in the last few months. I remember that a few months ago I would agree with the reviews 90% of the time but lately it's more like 20% percent. Not sure why games are getting 8's and 9's when they really feel like 6's and 7's. Other websites have a much lower score average for many of those "top reviewed" games on Nintendolife.

Re: Review: Hey! Pikmin (3DS)

Tendogamerxxx

Ouch! I'm going to pass on this one. Nintendolife reviews are kind to nintendo most of the time. If they are saying this is a 6/10, it really must be a 3/10.

Ain't nobody got time for that! Pass.

Re: Review: ARMS (Switch)

Tendogamerxxx

I'm probably in the minority here but I really cannot get myself to enjoy this game. It feels too barebones. I also don't really enjoy the combat. It seems slow and kinda clunky. I was really exited to play it, but after playing it, I don't feel like going back and booting this game up. I think I'm done with it. Not my thing.

Re: Nintendo Releases Official Switch 'First Time Use' Guide Video

Tendogamerxxx

@Sakura right?! This seems stupid. Why do I have to take them off? Such an inconvenience. I was planning on just leaving them on while docked the system. I did t even plan on using the system off the dock.

I have mine preorder, but I'd be lying if I said I was really excited about this system. In all my years since the NES I have never felt the way I do with this Launch. Very dissapointing in so many ways. Everything feels rushed. It's like the Wii U Launch again. At this point in the game we really shouldn't have to be waiting for features that should be there on day one.

I'm calling it now. This thing will be another failure. There's no way that all this unpreparedness will lead them to the top again with this system. I just don't get why they can't get it together.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Nintendo Switch Presentation?

Tendogamerxxx

@RatKing64 I'm sorry but I've heard this time and time again. I'll believe it when I see it. Nintendo has done nothing in the last 5 years that makes me one bit confident in what they do anymore. At this point if you are like me, you are buying a switch with full understanding that you may not have great on-going 3rd party support and that you may be without games new games to play for a long period of time.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Nintendo Switch Presentation?

Tendogamerxxx

@Al_Godoy I agree. I don't understand why there's people on here that can't seem to get a grasp of reality. I'm sure you are fan like myself and have been following Nintendo for years. We have seen this happen time and time again. It's clear that they are out of touch and they don't understand today's market. I'm calling it now- dead on arrival. Calling this awful would be an understanment in my opinion.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Nintendo Switch Presentation?

Tendogamerxxx

As a fan of nintendo for 24+ years, I didn't expect anything different from what I saw. It's almost like they have become so predictable in the way that they run things at that place that I knew nothing amazing was going to happen during the livestream. I was honestly hoping for change but it looks like they are going down the same path they took with the Wii U, and we all know how that turned out... my biggest question is, how do you not have a stellar line-up of games when you haven't released anything major In a while?

32gb?! Don't even get me started. Knowing how nintendo works, they will probably limit memory cards to 128gb- and even that may be too high.

Fire emblem and Mario are nice but let's keep it real. How long did Fire Emblem on WiiU take to be realeased from when it was announced? It could be years! Mario Holiday 2017 is bull, if you know how Nintendo works it will end up being more Summer 2018 at the earliest, but mostly likely it will be late 2018.

I am very disappointed. I'm willing to bet that virtual console is still in development and we won't see it until late 2017 at the earliest. To me this whole switch Launch is like Deju all over again. I'm calling it now- this will be another flop. I don't understand why they can't learn from their mistakes.

I preordered mine with the full understanding that once I beat Zelda, this system will collect dust for a very long time before I pick it up to play something worth my time. How sad is that?

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Flops on UK Debut

Tendogamerxxx

Nobody wants it in Japan, in the UK, or the US. It's not like we didn't warn them. I think the overwhelming negative response from E3 all the way to the most recent game trailer before the release date should have been a clear as day sign for Nintendo. Too bad that the franchise will probably not see another title in a while or if ever, but I wasn't about to support something that clearly wasn't metroid.

Re: More Discounts Added to My Nintendo Rewards in North America

Tendogamerxxx

Utter crap. I was hoping this month would be better but here we are again, same crap. They should just shut it down. The system does not make sense. At the very least let me redeem the discounts as codes so I can't give them to someone else that may not have the game. If this is supposed to be my reward for buying games, then I rather not have anything because I won't be disappointed at something that is being offered that doesn't benefit me at all. It's like they are dancing a carrot in front of me that I don't even want in the first place.

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Power Bombs in Japan

Tendogamerxxx

I voted with my wallet. This is the first game from Nintendo that I didn't not purchase. I always buy anything that is published or made by them but
This is the first game I refuse to buy. This is not what I wanted for the metroid series and they will not be getting my money. I'm glad to see that many other fans did the same thing.

We don't want it, and we're not having it. We have spoken! It's a done deal. Nothing that is said in favor of this game at this point can save it now. I can guaranty this is the last time we see this spin-off. Bye Felicia!

Re: Review: Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Wii U)

Tendogamerxxx

@the101 it's not an extreme statement by any means. It's true that Nintendo hasn't published a decent Mario party game in years, but they have published and developed tons of quality titles and many fresh ideas. Last time Sega did anything noteworthy was eons ago. I don't know about you, but every time Sega is mentioned or brought up, I run the opposite way.

The only thing that amazes as me at this point, is the people that still stand up and try to defend this pile of turd of a company. Maybe that's why they keep doing what they do.

Re: Review: Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Wii U)

Tendogamerxxx

Everything Sega touches turns to poo. This is exactly why I don't believe anything they say anymore. All this talk about "focus on quality" literally means nothing to me. Sega is too down the hole now to get itself out. They don't know what quality is and I don't expect them to turn things around in the blink on an eye.

They are done. Simple as that.

Re: Reminder: This is the Final Day for a Number of My Nintendo Rewards

Tendogamerxxx

@Peace-Boy Look. I know it will get better eventually, but looking back at their history, that change may come in 2-3 years from now... My whole thing is, if you are going to have a rewards system make sure it's inclusive of everyone and actually offer rewards people want. If you are going with all digital rewards at least offer discounts on "any" 1st party game. If you can't do that then offer some sort of "exclusive" dlc. Perhaps a conversion system where I turn gold coins into silver coins?

Maybe I'm just old... As a fan of Nintendo since 89' maybe I'm just like an old grouchy grandpa. Lol

Re: Reminder: This is the Final Day for a Number of My Nintendo Rewards

Tendogamerxxx

@Peace-Boy I would agree with that statement if only.... THE REWARDS/MyNintendo account was a brand new thing for them. This "system" has already been reset 2x in the past. First it was back in the early gba/ds days, then it was reset again for this "new" program. This is their 3rd attempt at an account/rewards system. To me, this is way past the "early stages" excuse. I'm pretty sure they 'be had plenty of time and raw data to figure what their consumers want. Unfortunately common sense is not something Nintendo uses very often...

...I need coffee... Lol

Re: Reminder: This is the Final Day for a Number of My Nintendo Rewards

Tendogamerxxx

This new rewards system is a disaster. If I am an avid supporter of Nintendo and purchase a lot of of their games, how do the gold coins benefit me? Everything on that list of gold rewards I already have.... The stuff I want like Zelda picross is miitomo and Silver coins only which I don't get because that game is stupid I don't feel like touching it every single day. I fail to see how this new rewards peogram is better. another disaster from Nintendo. Don't get how every decision they make is always 2 steps backward.

Re: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U Will Be The Only Playable Nintendo Game at E3

Tendogamerxxx

@DTFaux after being a fan for over 30 years and following as closely as I do, I can tell you that I've tried to look on the bright side many, many times only to be let down and disappointed. I see nothing good from all this. As it is, Nintendo is already an underdog. The way things are right now, the best we can hope for is that current hardcore gamers adopt the NX as their second console of choice rather than not adopting it at all. Let's be realistic, there little to no chance that the NX will steal MS and Sony's fan base. The lines have already been drawn on the current console race, Nintendo is not going to catch up. If Xbox one and PS4 release updated consoles with 4K capabilities this year that will only add to Nintendo's woes. The question will be how a "new" console from Nintendo can't even match the power of a current console. I'm sad and I can tell you that nothing good will come from all this. I think it's too little too late.

Re: Reaction: Nintendo Shakes Up E3 With No NX and a Focus on Legend of Zelda

Tendogamerxxx

My only concern with all of this is that the holiday season window will be completely missed by Nintendo. They are essentially giving MS and Sony all the sales this holiday season. Ive been around since the NES days and I can tell you that I see history repeating itself again like the last 3 consoles. I always have some hope that things will be different this time around but usually they aren't. I too am afraid that the NX may be the last of their home consoles. It makes me sad that they don't market their systems and games properly. I see this as a complete PR disaster.
