Re: Pokémon Fan Loses "20 Years Worth Of Data" After Performing Switch 2 Transfer

TeeJay

I lost all my save data in Violet similarly to this when my screen broke and I had to send it to Nintendo for repairs. Got my Switch back with all my save data gone, was able to redownload all my saves from NORMAL games from the cloud, except Pokemon. Full dex, box full of shinies, hours spent, gone.

This was before any of the dlc had come out and I just didn't have the motivation to replay Violet all over again. Not with how horrible it ran...until now with the massive improvements on Switch 2.

Really REALLY don't understand their logic with not allowing cloud saves when people are genning pokemon left and right regardless.

Re: Capcom Is Releasing An Offline Version Of Mega Man X DiVE

TeeJay

"Capcom recently announced it would be getting an offline version..."

If by "recently" you mean "2 months ago" than sure, lol. You all only just now caught wind of this?

@Alckemy As others have said, the offline version isn't getting microtransactions. No banners or anything. Regular characters will be available to purchase outright with zenny and the more special characters will require elemental metals. Elemental Metals are already confirmed not to be available for purchase this time around. It will all be earned in-game.

I for one am pretty excited that this game isn't just going to disappear into the digital void, even if the online version was predatory as hell (I should know, I spent far too much on this game because seeing Battle Network, X and MMZ characters given new life hit me right in my weak spot).

Strip it of all it's predatory nonsense and you have a really cool collection of old MM characters given the chance to see the spotlight again, albeit it'll probably be a really grindy experience. I'm ok with grind, though.

Re: Team Money Claims Victory In Splatoon 3's Priorities-Themed Splatfest

TeeJay

Money wins!! Yet another win to add to the win streak for me.

The idols never play any factor in what team I pick btw. It's just that all of my current problems and struggles would be instantly solved with money so, that's what I value most atm.

Of course I would like love as well down the line but that can wait.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's New Update Targets Item Duplication Glitches, Unsurprisingly

TeeJay

The amount of glitch snobs around here is ludicrous.

It's not simply the fact that glitches are being patched that's making everyone upset, it's the fact that they're so QUICK to do it when it's anything thay can benefit the player (in a single player game!) whereas when it comes to things that are objectively detrimental to the experience, even in multiplayer games, they're are incredibly slow to action, if they take any at all. The disparity is what's upsetting people.

Re: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Surpasses 2 Million Units Shipped

TeeJay

@NDragon1412 Same, I have friends on both Switch and PC, and bought both games and the expansion for both, but the Switch is my main version so I'm progressing that first. Loving every second of both version but I already knew I would. Love this franchise.

@jojobar Things start ramping up noticably in MR4, at least imo. But yeah the difficulty curve is more gradual than what those of us who played previous games may be used to.

Re: Random: Do Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney's Outfits Harbour A Revealing Secret?

TeeJay

@TheFox I've always been baffled when people ship any two random characters simply because they were friendly with each other or exchanged a simple hello.

However, it's pretty obvious with Wright and Edgeworth that there are shippy vibes and that it was intentionally written to be that way. And I'm 100% here for it.

You're telling me you didn't read the line "Thanks to you, I've been saddled with unnecessary.....feelings." and it never came off as the least bit gay to you?

Re: The Binding Of Isaac: Repentance Arrives On Nintendo Switch This Week

TeeJay

FINALLY. I've been waiting for this forever. This is exactly the kind of game I want to pick up and play anywhere and I just never feel as motivated to sit at a computer and do it.

A few times I was tempted to just get it on PC anyway even if I knew I wouldn't play it as much there, but I waited and now the wait has paid off.

Re: Talking Point: Capcom, Please Make Monster Hunter Snap

TeeJay

I don't think we really need a standalone game for that. Just bake it into the game as a side activity. More than it already is, I mean.

Make it ignorable if you want but if you want to partake in it, have an npc reward you with items and materials and armor spheres and perhaps even gems or talismans for snapping pics of certain things. It would weave into the main gameplay quite well.

World (specifically Iceborne) had something like this but I didn't do hardly any of it mostly because I could never remember the controls for using the camera, but it's made easy to do in Rise.

Re: Soapbox: Life Is Strange Belongs On Switch. So Why Isn't It?

TeeJay

I'm with the others who are wondering what "x would be a good fit for switch" even is supposed to mean. Any game would be a "good fit for switch" if it can play on a console.

And making an article about this game in particular seems....idk, random. I haven't heard anyone talk about this game or series in years.
