This review seems to have come out of the blue. Was MM released on the Wii U eShop in EU or something?
Anyway, I already own the 3DS version so there is no reason for me to play the old version. Sure Zora swimming was changed for the worse but that's the only real negative change I can say there is. All the massive improvements are more than enough to still make the 3DS version the superior version in my eyes.
I have this on Vita but I would buy it again to have it on my main gaming system! When the Wii U version was announced I was disappointed that there wasn't going to be a 3DS version.
@Nintendian Except this is a sci-fi movie, not an origin story based on a true story. In all likelihood, there WILL be guys waiting for blocks to drop from the sky.
@Vegaphil That wasn't Nintendo's intention for the console though. They wanted it to be another gimmick but then they couldn't find any ways to use their new gimmick, and so all games ended up using the Gamepad for Off-TV play and Inventory.
The creator is the guy who used to make the Brawl in the Family webcomics. He did that for several years...until Smash 4 released, in fact. I believe him when he says he is a lifelong Nintendo fan, and I 100% believe that he is as determined as he says he is.
Normally I'm pretty bitter about Japan getting a ton of games we don't ever see, but I'm glad Japan finally gets to see why we like Shovel Knight so much.
Too bad the Smash ballot is over. It might have made all the difference...
I am absolutely in LOVE with Megamix. I've already got Perfects on everything except 3 games which I haven't unlocked yet. Still working on earning the flowballs to buy them in Challenge Mode...
@ThanosReXXX I believe I heard that in a GameXplain discussion? I can't remember a source exactly so you'll just have to decide whether or not you want to believe it.
@ThanosReXXX What....? Your explanation doesn't make any sense to me. A block is also a fixed size. It's 127 KB. The only difference is that instead of just SAYING what yhe size of the game is, they made up their own measurements and used that.
@edcomics Instead of measuring the size of digital games in MB and GB like the rest of the world, in the DS, Wii and even now with the 3DS they've used "blocks". It's only recently with the Wii U that they've finally started actually using normal measurements.
I think what a lot of people are missing here is that the problem isn't specifically whether to call it an open world or open air game. It's the fact that Nintendo always insists on being "different", even if they're not actually being different. It just seems pretentious.
I'm not exactly sure why Nintendo has such a hard time even using the same terms as the rest of us. Remember blocks?
I've never backed a game before. And while examples like Shovel Knight and Yooka Laylee are great ones, instances like MN9 continue to keep me from ever risking it, especially considering how MN9 was the closest I ever got to funding something.
I started with Explorers of Darkness, so I never got to play the originals. I hear they're very hard as they don't have the conveniences that later games introduced.
For the quality of the actual game this price is ludicrious. I'm a huge Pokemon fan and I'm not coming anywhere near this thing.
The fact that enough people think this is worth the money that it would sell out astounds me. It's highway robbery! Truly, the Pokemon Company can do whatever the hell they want.
@LordMolecule Yeah it definitely couldn't have taken place right after WW.
About the Master Sword, like I mentioned before (and this is just a guess I thought of to support my theory) but Ganondorf could have freed himself somehow and left, and then the Master Sword could have been placed in a pedestal by Daphnes Hyrule to await the next chosen hero.
As for New Hyrule, it needn't have failed. The Zelda and Link of that timeline probably lived full lives there, and that would be it, with the next story taking place many many years later back in the now dried up, original Hyrule.

@PlywoodStick I'm usually pretty clueless about current events. Not usually in the gaming industry though...

Mmmm? I've never heard of this event until now.

Re: Gallery: Get the Full Localised Details on Pokémon Sun and Moon's Newest Pocket Monsters
Seems like Drampa is a love-it-or-hate-it type of pokemon. Personally I hate it.
I love Vikavolt though! I don't usually go for bug types but it's a freaking railgun. I NEED it in my party.

Re: FAQ: The GamePad Screen is, Tellingly, Largely Redundant in Breath of the Wild's Demo
So there is Off-TV play. Good. No Off-TV play would have been a deal-breaker.
Re: Upcoming Tetris Movie is Confirmed to be the First in a Trilogy
I see no way this can end well.

@Tempestryke Yup! He even talked about Tadpole Treble a few times before he stopped the webcomics.

Hey! For that price I can finally try Xeodrifter.

I gotta say, I do love Off-TV play though.
Re: Nintendo NX Has A Core Idea Which Doesn't Just "Follow Advancements In Technology", Claims Miyamoto
This is worrying to hear, actually. Please, no more gimmicks...I just want to play games normally...

@YoshiParty It didn't get a 6...
Re: Review: Mighty No. 9 (Wii U)
This whole fiasco has made me lose all respect for Keiji Inafune. I wouldn't feel right giving that man my money even if the game was good.

Re: Let Yacht Club Games Know What Game You'd Like Next
I absolutely do NOT want a Shovel Knight Kart. I would rather a sequel. Give the series a few more games, THEN we can start talking about spinoffs.

@bezerker99 Please yes.
Re: Sega Placing "Huge Emphasis On Quality" With Future Sonic Titles

I would LOVE another online multiplayer Zelda game. I loved Triforce Heroes despite what everyone else seems to think about it.
Re: Anniversary: Sonic the Hedgehog is Now 25 Years Old
I have never cared less about a game mascot's anniversary.
Re: Miyamoto and Bill Trinen Discuss Why Breath of the Wild is Called an "Open Air Adventure"
@ThanosReXXX It may have been their podcast. Not sure though.
@patbacknitro18 Not sure what to tell you. Never played San Andreas so I can't picture what you're saying.
Re: Miyamoto and Bill Trinen Discuss Why Breath of the Wild is Called an "Open Air Adventure"
@patbacknitro18 I would say Windwaker is the closest Zelda there is to an open world game, but even then, the game is segmented into islands.
And no the other Zeldas are not open world. All areas are seperate little enclosures with clear entrances and exits just like any other game.
Re: Miyamoto and Bill Trinen Discuss Why Breath of the Wild is Called an "Open Air Adventure"
@patbacknitro18 Because those weren't open world games. That was ALSO Nintendo wanting to be different. This is their first actual open world game.
Re: Miyamoto and Bill Trinen Discuss Why Breath of the Wild is Called an "Open Air Adventure"
@ThanosReXXX I believe I heard that in a GameXplain discussion? I can't remember a source exactly so you'll just have to decide whether or not you want to believe it.
Re: Miyamoto and Bill Trinen Discuss Why Breath of the Wild is Called an "Open Air Adventure"
@ThanosReXXX They're talking the latter. It's 140 square miles iirc.

@JaxonH Just like how you gave Super Mystery Dungeon a whirl?
Re: Rumour: Someone Tried To Steal The Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Demo, And Failed
@MitchVogel Phones can be used as a wifi hotspot. I do it quite often to connect my 3DS to the internet.

I started with Explorers of Darkness, so I never got to play the originals. I hear they're very hard as they don't have the conveniences that later games introduced.
Re: Nintendo Life Weekly: Zelda Wins E3 2016, Pokémon GO! Plus Accessory Price Revealed, and More
@chiefeagle02 Don't worry, the price will go down once they realize that what they're asking for is ludicrious and that nobody is buying it...
...is what I would LIKE to say, but it sold out in a flash on Amazon...they have power and they know it...
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's E3 2016?
Whoa. I'm shocked at how little people are hyped for Monster Hunter...
Re: Monster Hunter Generations Demo Codes Are On the Way in North America
Hmmm...this is great news I suppose...I don't usually have much luck being one of those "select" users...
They don't seem to care whether you are a dedicated fan or not. It all seems random
