It was Stan Lee and his direct communication with the fans that gave Marvel that certain magic that DC comics never quite captured. Fan of both, but Stan made Marvel special.
Daredevil was always my favorite comic, way back before anyone knew who he was. Stan's other big titles Fantastic Four, X-Men, Spider-Man, Avengers, Black Panther, Hulk and so on made him a legend.
I always felt the N64 trident was one of the stupidest controllers ever made. That 3rd grip makes no sense whatsoever, nobody has three hands. The only thing worse is the WiiMote, never understood how people can sit around and play games with a TV remote. Both are terrible controllers. This new Hyperkin controller is what the N64 controller should have looked like all along.
You people who are passing on this game are nuts. It's one of the best Switch games to date, and by far the best thing that's ever happened to Starfox. The gameplay is fantastic. Forget about the toys and buy the digital deluxe version. Starlink is one of the best games I've ever played; cannot recommend it highly enough.
To any men feeling victimized by any of this, I've got one thing to say to you; stop being such a snowflake. Be a real man, grow a pair, and stand up women's rights.
Women are assaulted by men every minute of every day. Time to wake up and listen when women speak out. If the dude is innocent he'll be cleared, don't sweat it. Let's not act like men are the victims now because women finally have a voice.
Remember back in the day when we were amazed that we could “play” a cartoon in Dragon’s Lair? Now look at us, fully and truly playing and controlling actual cartoons. So glad I lived to see this day.
@Heavyarms55 "The New 3DS ended up being almost as pointless a revision as the DSi."
I disagree entirely; the New 3DS smokes the old 3DS, and any serious fan upgraded. The super stable stereoscopic is worth it alone, you can play all games in 3D comfortably now. And the right nub stick and extra shoulder buttons are invaluable for tons of games. Combined with the faster processor, and more stable famerates, the New 3DS outclasses the old in every way.
There's no way that group of people would be sitting around playing FighterZ, and there's no way they'd be using a split Joy Con to do it. Commercial is ridiculous.
That said I'm stoked about this game. Already preordered it!
On a side note can I just say how much I abhor IGN? What an absolutely terrible mess of a web site; the advertisements are just overwhelming, and the layout of the web site is an utter mess. Whenever I occasionally visit I try to exit it as fast as possible. No idea why IGN is regarded so highly or why anyone uses their site, it's horrible.
This game is awesome. Been playing it for the past 3 hours and it's a blast. The framerate is its only draw back, seems to hit 15-20 fps whenever anything is going on. It's still worth it though, cause the gameplay is unique and lots of fun.
I though they were both kind of boring. I finished Odyssey and never looked back, and BOTW I spent 45 hours with, got bored with it, and ended up deleting it last week, because I haven't touched it in a year.
I liked Super Mario 3D World and A Link Between Worlds much better than either Odyssey or BOTW.
The game isn't that hard. After 500 hours of gameplay in Monster Hunter World, where the battles can last for nearly an hour and you still might not win, Dark Souls' beasts seem predictable and slow. Once you figure them out you can just walk right past them.
Already pre-ordered DragonBall Fighterz fighterz edition ($95) the day it went live. It's sitting on my Switch desktop along with the SNES game ready to play on launch day.
I swore this gen I would not buy any extra unnecessary controllers for my Switch. I have my Pro Controller and custom d-pad Joycons and can play 1-2 players easily, that's it that's all I need for this entire gen,
For Wii U I ended up with 50 million controllers; a whole box full of them. It was cool to be able to play games in so many days different ways, but it was just way too much stuff for one console. When I sold my Wii U I was thankful to get rid of all that crap.
I'm not doing that again. The Pro Controller is good enough for everything, even Smash.
These polls have become completely useless lately. It used to be: what are we playing? with a list recent releases to chose from.
Now it's: are you playing the same random games from any era as the NL staff writers?
Who gives a flip what the staff writers are playing and why should it matter if we're playing the same? What is the point of this data? Might as well throw Pong in there too... maybe one of us is playing it.
@whanvee The online component is one of the best parts of the game and it works great. 1-4 players, drop in out whenever you want, or create private lobbies; progress is saved for all players. It's a seamless experience geared toward smooth online play.
I think it's easier to play with 2 players rather than 3 or 4, because it gets really crazy with 4, but it works regardless and is a blast to play online.
@Dahn_ I'm about almost half way through the campaign and have played with 2-4 players the whole time, and I haven't noticed any performance issues so far. The framerate does take a hit sometimes but nothing that has interfered with gameplay. In fact I've been impressed by how well it performs, given the level of action on screen.
This game is awesome. Been playing the crap out of it since it was released. If you like run n' gun shooters like Contra or Metal Slug then you gotta check out Broforce.
The destroyable environment and platforms make for a great gameplay twist too. It's got a Dig Dug aspect to it, as you constantly fall through structures, avoid falling obstacles, explosions and gunfire, and forge new pathways to victory, all while blowing the living hell out of everything in site. The drop-in-out online multiplayer works great. It's fantastic action and lots of fun.
I disagree with the reviewer saying this game is only good in short bursts. I've been putting in 2-4 hour sessions at a time and it's glorious.
It was really good. Luigi's Mansion 3 was a great way to start. Looking forward to many of these titles.
Was hoping they would drop a surprise bomb though, like Read Dead Redemption Switch port or GTA V or something massive and 3rd party. But whatever it was still excellent.

Yeah would be nice if we had some folders to organize all these games.
Re: A Garish Neo Geo Mini Christmas Edition Is On The Way With More Games Included
I have the international version and it's pretty cool. This Xmas version though is butt ugly and cheesy as hell.

All you snowflakes crying over a removed feather. Racists.
Re: SNK Producer Says King Of Fighters XIV "Would Definitely Be A Possibility" On Nintendo Switch
Yes please!
KoF XIII was better than XIV, but I'll take either. And the new Samurai Shodown needs to make it to the Switch too.
Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ Exceeds 3.5 Million In Worldwide Shipments And Digital Sales
Best fighting game on the Switch.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 27th)
I'll spend most my weekend with Starlink, Dragonball FighterZ, and Red Dead 2.
